I can expand my MAGIC ENDLESSLY?!-Chapter 39: Meeting with Her
Kairos stood in front of her. No matter how much he planned, the words refused to come.
"Damn it," he cursed inwardly before forcing himself:
"I-I’m Kairos Nozvan. What about you?"
He held out his hand without thinking. Instantly, regret hit. ’Why did I do that?’
Cartalia hesitated, then shook it.
"Um, I’m Cartalia. So... anything you need?"
Kairos tried to steady himself. Inside, chaos raged inside his mind.
’She thinks I’m a weirdo. What am I even doing? Calm down!’
"Nothing, I’m done with the test too," he said, scratching his head, not daring to meet her eyes.
Cartalia tilted her head slightly, studying him. ’Is he shy?’
Then realization came in, ’I see, so he’s here for Rosa. Are they really in love with each other?! But he’s too shy?’
She instantly concluded that was the case, and how kind she was. She put on a polite smile, taking the lead.
’Yes...that was a tough exam. I lost pretty quickly. I’m not very skilled....
Kairos interrupted her instantly, quickly speaking out. "No no no, you did quite well. I’m sure of it. It’s just that this test is too hard."
She looked at him, caught off guard hearing that. ’He’s being considerate?’
’Is he kind like that?’. Then she herself removed that idea.
’He doesn’t even know me,it must be for Rosa.’
Concluded she couldn’t help but feel like her friend really found someone nice.
She spoke, ’I know, but still others are preserving like that. I should have too...’ She paused, peering behind him.
"Rosa, you did well."
Kairos’s heart dropped hearing that, and he turned around, and sure enough, Rosa was heading towards them with her usual smile.
She walked in gasping, carting Elias’s hands. "Yes, I did. How did you do?"
Cartalias gave a dry laugh. "Not that good, but by the way, he lasted quite well too." She trailed off, glancing behind Kairos.
"Rosa, you did well."
Kairos’s heart dropped hearing that, and he turned around, and sure enough, Rosa was walking towards them with her usual smile.
She walked in gasping, carting Elias’s hands. "Yes, I did. How did you do?"
Cartalias gave a dry laugh. "Not that good, but by the way, he lasted quite well too," Cartalia said, looking at Kairos.
Rosa, turning her head, smiled at Kairos. "Oh sure he did."
Gasping, Cartalia’s hand pulled her away.
"Let’s go stand there, Luna is there too."
Cartalia hesitated, looking behind at Kairos, she felt bad leaving him like that. She sighed and let her friend pull him away.
Kairos could only watch them walk away. At the last moment, Rosa turned, flashing a devious smile.
Causing Kairos to flinch. ’That damn Phoenix, She did that intentionally’
Deciding he will save her somehow. In a bad mood, he stood leaning against the wall. Waiting patiently for this test to end.
As he waited patiently, he looked at the others who were still persevering. At this point the majority also stopped.
Only few were left, which was weirdly enough out of his expectation. Teresa lasted far longer than he usually thought.
She glanced around before spotting him. Heading straight toward him.
Kairos’s brow twitched slightly. Did she only see me? In this whole damn class?
She rushed up to him and stopped, slightly out of breath, sweat trickling down her temple.
"That was quite hard," she complained.
’Though I last quite long, it seems,’ she uttered, standing at the side. In truth she was proud of herself.
Only a few remained, and she lasted quite long. She has the skills!. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
"What about you?"
"A while ago."
"A while ago," Kairos replied.
Teresa, hearing that, put up a smug smile. "Are you sure you weren’t one of the first to give up?"
Kairos’s brows twitched. ’Why would I even lie about that?’ But he held it back.
That amused her.
’He really likes to act tough. It’s actually kind of cute’.
She glanced at the remaining few who were still continuing forward. She already knew who they were.
Among them were the few characters first introduced in the novel, alongside the main character.
Few of the people dropped out. But they weren’t the one she was looking for. And as when only four people remained.
A young man slowly removed his helmet, revealing short white hair and a calm, composed face.
Even after enduring the pressure for so long, his expression remained steady.
Nathan Lumainn.
The main protagonist.
Kairos noticed him as well. Serving all that for so long means he has the talent. And he needed talent.
Then another person removed their helmet slowly.
This time it was a girl.
The moment her face was revealed, both Kairos and Teresa recognized her.
Kairos’s lips curved slightly.
Heh... one of the calamities after all. ’Natalia’
Teresa also looked at her.
So she really does look plain. And yet beautiful at the same time.
Natalia, The future Vampire Queen. A supporting character.
The last two students stopped simultaneously. Teresa glanced at the blue-haired boy.
His eyes were a striking shade of blue, and a confident smile spread across his face as he realized he was among the last to endure the test.
Felix Nauvierr, The eldest son of the Nauvierr family of the Aurean kingdom. A character portrait as a rival of the main character.
"Hahaha, you all are really trash in front of me."
Hearing that loud voice, almost everyone’s head turned.
It was the last person who removed his helmet. Indicating he’s rank 1! Within Class 1-B.
Golden hair fell down messily around his shoulders. Dark tattoos ran along his arms and collarbone. Indicating where he’s from.
His sharp green eyes swept across the room.
First, they paused briefly on Rosa, then at Cartalia.
Then they shifted. landing on Kairos. He sneered even more.
Kairos felt something strange crawl up his. spine. He had a feeling about that.
’What... was that?’
The man smirked faintly before cracking his neck.
"I knew from the start a majority of you were trash."
"You all are really trash in front of me."
Teresa frowned slightly. Looking at him seriously.
"Hes really arrogant, as the story described him to be."
’No wonder he meet his end’
The man standing there was someone Nathan killed himself. The very first villain of the novel.
Darius Volkran. The pride of the kingdom of warriors and mystic powers. The Vulcan kingdom.
