I Can Extract and Resurrect the Dead!-Chapter 60: Trio
This was the reason why Kael made their form in the skeleton form since Kael didn’t want the others to think that these beasts were normal monsters who would attack them after coming out of the dungeons.
After a minute or two, Kael sensed the skeleton beast that he had sent to track down the two clowns was met with trouble as he detected that it was dead before he could even look at the situation there.
Kael raised an eyebrow in surprise before calling back the 9 skeleton beasts and letting them wander around the apartment instead. He also called Elias and the others, since he wanted to check the situation there with his own eyes.
"Liora, you can stay here with Dad and Mom first, okay?" Kael handed Liora to Laura as he petted her head softly, "I will go out for a bit."
"Is everything okay?" Laura asked with a worried expression, holding Kael’s hand tightly.
"It’s fine, I only want to look around, that’s all." Kael replied with a calm smile.
"Take care of yourself, son." Julian patted Kael’s shoulder while nodding his head with a bitter smile, feeling helpless because he couldn’t do anything to assist his son.
"Don’t worry, Dad. It’s really nothing serious." Kael chuckled and left the penthouse.
After Kael closed the huge door, he instantly took out three 1st Echelon Rank Undead Beasts and let them guard the door before walking toward the lift.
The moment Kael reached the ground floor, he instantly took out the remaining dozens of 1st Echelon Rank Undead Beasts and let them stay inside while ordering a few of them to stay in the emergency stair evacuation.
"Little Goblin, go upstairs and stay in front of the door, okay?" Kael patted the little goblin, ordering it to stay close to his family, as he only wanted to go outside with Elias and the fire lion.
Subsequently, Kael went outside with Elias and the fire lion in a calm manner as if nothing had happened since he didn’t want to make the others panic.
’Is this the reason why everyone in the apartment died or just another one related to these two clowns?’ Kael thought to himself, as his wolf was fine, but its situation was being held by the two clowns since he sensed that the wolf was inside a small, dark room.
Kael guessed that these two men might have been planning something after the universe announcement a while ago. That’s why Kael was anxious to kill them now, as he had never expected that he would cause another huge disturbance right after he caused the world announcement.
As for the people that came with them, Kael had already thought of a plan to shut their mouths completely. So, Kael didn’t think too much about it.
While on the way to the place where the undead beast got killed, Kael didn’t sense any strong monster or awakener until he was 1 kilometer away from it.
He sensed a thick life energy that should belong to a 2nd Echelon Rank Awakener and two other people who had reached 1st Echelon Ranks. But he was sure that these two people weren’t the same people that he had met right after he killed the goblin commander.
A stagnant breeze rolled through the half-ruined business district, carrying dust and the coppery scent of old blood. Kael strode down a sun-baked avenue, Elias pacing at his side and the Fire Lion padding behind like a living furnace.
Up ahead, three figures stepped from behind an overturned bus: one broad-shouldered man in matte-black armor radiating 2nd-Echelon life force, flanked by two slimmer fighters in matching half-plate.
The leader planted his greaves with a clang that echoed off shattered windows. Crystalline embers shimmered along the edge of his twin great-axes—an obvious mana conductor set. A red wolf emblem glowed on his breastplate.
"Blood-Spur Guild," Kael muttered, recognizing that sigil from his previous life.
Mid-tier mercenaries, brutal reputation.
The armored man tilted his head. "Immortality Lord, huh? Hand yourself over. Our contractors pay very well for such classes."
Kael’s eyes narrowed. "Let me guess—two clowns told you where to find me."
One of the 1st-Echelon attendants grinned. "Once we capture them, Guildmaster Argall gives us bonus points for initiative."
That was all Kael needed to hear.
Without preamble, he snapped a command through his link. "Elias—clean up the trash."
’These people are really idiots to not run after meeting us like this.’ Kael shook his head with a mocking smile.
Elias vanished in a golden blur, leaving only drifting motes. The two 1st-Echelon mercenaries yelped, scrambling for stance, but Elias was already between them. His Solar Blade ignited in a radiant line.
Swissh!
Slashing the first before the man could lift his shield.
A heartbeat later, Elias twisted, delivering a knee to the other’s ribs. Bones snapped; the man doubled over. One backhand slash, and a crimson arc painted cracked pavement. Two heads thudded almost in unison.
Kael didn’t watch. His attention stayed glued to the 2nd Echelon Rank.
"Looks like it’s one-on-one," he said lightly, rolling his shoulders. Flame-washed aura flickered along his Emberstorm Sword.
The armored warrior huffed, steam venting from his collar. "Name’s Darrox, Sub-Captain of Blood-Spur. The bounty on you is huge, kid. Let’s see what makes you special."
’It seems that he’s really confident in his strength after advancing with 2.7x amplification rate twice.’ Kael smiled as he thought that this guy was really an idiot.
’If Elias used his full strength, he would’ve probably fled from here right away.’
Darrox stamped the ground and vermilion glyphs spread in a circle as he used his [Molten Bastion] skill. Then, lava-like plates crawled over his armor, boosting Physique and fire resistance.
In response, Kael lunged forward. Their blades met mid-street with a thunderous clang that cracked asphalt.
Kael’s raw power shoved Darrox three meters back, gouging twin trenches beneath his boots.
Darrox swung his twin axes outward. Fiery crescents arced away, curving midair and converging like jaws.
