Soon, "Rhegor, you really are quick, huh?" Syltheria peered at him with an exaggerated frown and stepped in, along with King Edmund standing calmly beside her with a soft smile.

"Here, Rex, take this Epic Rank skill from Aunt Syltheria. It should come hady inside the forest. It’s rather strong skill, and only high-ranking members are allowed to learn this," she said and handed him the skill book while resting her hand on his shoulders. "I have high hopes on you, Rex," she said with a faint smile.

Rex had just recently learned that the Skills were Ranked into - Common → Rare → Epic Skill. → Legendary. and Legendary skills were mostly safeguarded and thought to royals only.

Rex sighed inwardly. They won’t leave me be, and they are forcefully trying to get close to me. Hmm... If I can’t get rid of them, then I’ll make them cough up most of the treasures. He thought and smiled at them.

"Thank you, Aunt Syltheria, for the gift," Rex said and took the skill book after checking it for a few moments. Looking at the skill named [Vine Manipulation] he mused, "Aunt Syltheria, I was looking for a different skill, something that will help with defense," he said, looking at her innocently.

"Is that so?" she said and pulled out another skill book that read [Forest Protection]. "How about this?" she asked and handed him the book.

Rex grabbed the book and checked it for a few minutes, and before Syltheria could say anything, he mumbled, "Thank you for 2 skill books, Aunt Syltheria. You are as generous as Uncle Rhegor," he slyly commented.

She narrowed her eyes, looking at him skeptically.

Did I push in here? he thought.

But changing her expression, "Haha, Rex, that I’m," she brimmed hysterically.

While Rhegor and Edmund exchanged a few glances, King Edmund stepped in. "It seems you guys are getting along. Since you guys are gifting him so generously, I can’t stay behind, right? When he belongs to our kingdom," he said with a hidden meaning which everyone seemed to have understood.

Except for Rex. He pretended and began, "Yes, Your Majesty, but I don’t mind shifting kingdoms if they are gifting me like this. I’ll only become stronger, right?" he said with the most innocent face and a bright childlike smile.

Even though this is riskier on my part, I can’t have them keep me pushing around. With this, they might stay on guard around me while trying to snatch me from others. and maybe keep giving me these treasures. He thought.

As Rex said those words, Syltheria raised her brows and immediately mused in a playful gesture "Haha, so we can take young Rex to our kingdom, and he won’t mind?" she finished, while patting his shoulders.

However, King Edmund swiftly jumped in. "Alright, alright. Rex, take this.

it’s Silentmane’s condensed blood which is a pureblooded beast. Even though it’s efficiency is only 10% for us humans you should easily get to Lord rank – 1 star. Know that this is what I myself use while cultivating to rank up faster," he said and gave him a vial of blood, at the length of a pinky finger.

Looking at it, Rhegor’s and Syltheria’s eyes widened slightly. Nevertheless, they chose to remain silent.

"See their reaction, Rex," he said. "This is a very rare and precious bloodline vial. Even I myself barely have 10 of these, but with you, I’m confident I’ll sooner have more 100’s. Haha," he said, letting Rex know its true value.

"Ohh, and one more thing," he mumbled, moving his gaze towards Darius. "I have something for your brother too. Here, take this, Darius. I bought this Grade–2 sword in an auction for a very high price," he mumbled and handed the sword to Darius with a forced smile.

Rex narrowed his brows, while Darius’s eyes widened. Hesitatingly, he took the sword while thanking the king. "Thank you, Your Majesty. I appreciate the gift. I’ll make sure to protect Rex wholeheartedly," he said and began examining the sword.

Honestly, Darius didn’t like that he was getting the gift just because he was close to Rex, but being surrounded by so many higher ranks, both in strength and hierarchy, made him reluctantly accept the ’gift.’

Everyone could tell that the king was 2 steps ahead in currying favors with Rex.

Syltheria and Rhegor even exchanged a few glances saying: ’Why couldn’t we think of gifting Darius?’

Nevertheless, the sword itself was good, with a white hilt and engraved mana ore. It was dozens of times better than his current sword.

"Thank you, Uncle Rhegor and Aunty Syltheria. Thank you, Your Majesty," Rex thanked everyone for all the resources.

"You can call me Uncle too. Now go find an empty room and start cultivating quickly, I want you to rank up as quickly as possible" King Edmund said.

Rex nodded and bowed down slightly at everyone and walked away.

Even after walking around the ship to find an empty room, no one recognized him.

He finally found a room. Pushing open the wooden door, he stepped in along with Darius and Arcane.

The room itself was small, made just for 2 people with separate beds. and only certain people were allowed to have a room; as for others, they were sitting on the ship.

Rex and Darius sat on their own separate beds, checking their own treasures.

"Can you share that fruit with Ash too, Arcane?" he asked while Arcane rested in the corner of his bed.

"If Father wants, I can share it," she said in a calm voice.

Rex smiled and grabbed the fruit, pulled out his new daggers. Its red glint made it look like it was made for killing. After gazing at it for a few moments, he cleanly cut open the fruit into two parts.

One was given to Arcane to happily eat in a single bite, while the other was sent into Tamer’s Sanctuary for Ash to eat. He was also happy, eating it in 3–4 bites.

{Thank you, Master, for thinking about me,} he mused in a sad tone. However, he quickly changed the topic with the same complaint. {Master, take me outside, please. It’s been so long since I’ve been out,} he said rebelliously.

{I want to bring you out too, Ash, but everyone here is hungry for purebloods like you. I don’t even know what sneaky tactics or excuses they will use for you,} Rex explained, clearly trying to make Ash understand the gravity of things.

{No, I want to come out,} he said stubbornly.

Rex shook his head with a sigh. {I’ll bring you out sooner, I promise,} Rex said. But he never got a reply, knowing Ash was angrily pouting. Rex shifting his focus to the vial of blood, looking at it for a brief moment he immediately chugged to the last drop in a swift motion.

Then...
