I Cast Forbidden Spells Until the World Breaks-Chapter 110 Even When Given a Chance, You Still Blew It
Drip. Drip. Drip.
Thick blood kept spilling from the horrifying hole in Zayne’s chest, splashing onto the ground below. This kind of wound was unquestionably fatal.
Yet Zayne did not even spare it a glance.
He turned his head at once. When he saw that Astrachior’s body remained untouched, he finally let out a breath.
"Hahahaha! Kid, I’ll admit it, you’re terrifyingly strong. I almost really died in your hands. But unfortunately, you’re too stupid!"
John burst out laughing. The thought that the legendary Origin Relic was practically within his grasp made his blood boil with excitement.
"He’s just a corpse, and you actually took an arrow for him. Ridiculous!"
Zayne slowly stood up and walked toward John.
What John had done had crossed his line completely.
"If Astrachior knew he died for trash like you, maybe even he would regret it. Don’t worry. I’ll send you down to repent."
Blood red flames erupted from Zayne’s body as his vitality burned violently.
At the same time, muscle fibers wove together like silkworm threads. Flesh regenerated in the blink of an eye. In just a few breaths, the gruesome hole in Zayne’s chest had fully healed, leaving no trace of injury behind.
"What do you mean died for me? Stop spouting nonsense. I..."
John froze mid sentence. His eyes went wide, disbelief flooding his face.
"No. Impossible. That wound was fatal. How could you recover that fast?"
He staggered back several steps, staring at Zayne as if he were looking at a monster.
Then, as if something clicked, John lifted his head and looked up at the star filled sky. Realization slammed into him.
"I get it now. The Origin Relic inside you is Eternal Scales. Only Eternal Scales could grant its wielder such insane regeneration when night covers the land."
The more he thought about it, the colder he felt.
"No wonder. No wonder even your basic skills hit like forbidden spells. That’s the other power of Eternal Scales. Invincibility."
Zayne did not bother responding.
He raised the Raging Flame Staff and went straight into a three hit combo, showing John what real carpet bombing looked like.
"Fireball."
"Illumination."
"Flame Wall."
The instant the staff lit up, the night sky seemed to ignite.
Crimson forbidden flames streaked across the heavens like meteors, screaming toward John.
Firelight drowned the darkness. Flames carrying pure destruction surged forward, threatening to swallow John whole.
John’s expression twisted. He drew his bow again and again, firing three arrows in rapid succession as he desperately tried to deflect the incoming inferno.
But he quickly noticed something absurd.
His rate of drawing and firing arrows was slower than Zayne’s casting speed.
Zayne was throwing out spells like they had no cooldown and no cost, one after another, without even needing to breathe. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
A mage casting faster than an archer’s basic attacks. If word of this spread, it would shatter people’s understanding of combat.
Captain K and the others were already dumbfounded. This was the first time they had ever seen a spell machine gun.
Under the barrage of forbidden flames, the temperature skyrocketed to an absurd level.
John was soaked in sweat. He knew that if this dragged on, even if he did not get blown apart, he would be roasted alive.
His gaze sharpened, locking onto Zayne like a hawk.
Kill the leader first. At this point, it was his only option.
John gripped his bow tight, pouring every ounce of strength into it.
The bow trembled violently, as if it might shatter at any moment.
"Divine Demon Twin Arrow."
With a low shout, a golden arrow tore through the air, shooting straight at Zayne.
Wherever it passed, even space itself seemed to split apart. The surrounding flames were blasted away by the arrow’s force.
Zayne frowned slightly. He could feel how terrifying this shot was, so he did not try to tank it head on.
He activated Spatial Translocation.
John was level 62. A level 25 fighting him head on would have been suicidal.
But just as Zayne’s body began to fade, John’s lips curled into a triumphant smile. He clenched his fist.
"Detonate."
Boom.
The golden arrow exploded instantly.
This shot was never aimed at Zayne. It was aimed at the space around him.
The calm space twisted violently under the blast. Zayne, who was about to slip into the void, was forced back out.
From the explosion, a second arrow burst forth, jet black, racing straight for Zayne’s forehead.
At this distance, there was no way to dodge.
The black arrow became a streak of darkness and pierced straight into Zayne’s brow. A deafening blast followed, and Zayne was blown into a cloud of blood mist.
Chunks of flesh and gore scattered through the air. One severed finger even landed behind John.
Seeing this, John snorted, a sharp gleam flashing in his eyes.
"So what if you control Eternal Scales? It’s not midnight yet. No matter how strong your regeneration is, I refuse to believe you can recover from being blown into minced meat."
What he did not notice was that the finger behind him had already begun regenerating.
In one breath, a finger became a hand. In two breaths, the hand grew into an arm and half a shoulder. In three breaths, a head connected to that shoulder formed.
Just a head and one arm was enough.
Zayne raised his hand and fired a forbidden spell straight at John’s back.
Feeling the terrifying energy surge behind him, John finally realized something was wrong. Before he could turn around, a golden spear skewered him from tailbone to skull like a whole lamb on a spit.
"Ahhh!"
Agony ripped through him, forcing a scream from his throat as his body convulsed violently.
At the same time, the scattered flesh and blood rushed back toward Zayne. In an instant, his body was fully restored. If not for his clothes being reduced to shredded rags, there would have been no sign he had ever been injured.
Zayne crouched down, placed a hand on top of John’s head, and gently shook it.
"Even when I handed you the chance, you still couldn’t make it work."
