Chapter 74: 74 Murder Murder

As soon as Robert finished speaking, a massive teleportation array activated behind him.

Violent spatial fluctuations rippled outward, making many eyes sharpen. It was obvious this array led to the Champion Secret Realm.

"You now have twenty minutes to find suitable teammates," Robert said after glancing at his watch. "If you are confident enough, you can also choose to go solo."

The Champion Secret Realm was one of the strangest realms in existence. Once inside, everyone gained an immortal body, allowing them to farm monsters without fear and level up at incredible speed.

When the realm was first discovered, awakeners across Aurelion went insane with excitement. They flooded in by force and slaughtered monsters nonstop.

Before long, the monsters inside were nearly wiped out.

In the end, the Aurelion authorities stepped in and placed the realm under strict control. Free entry was banned, allowing the monsters to recover. Only then was the realm preserved.

From that point on, it became a special benefit reserved for each year’s champions. The monsters inside were treated like crops, harvested once every year.

"Zayne, want to team up?" Eva asked as she looked at him.

"Sure. Just stick with me," Zayne replied, nodding.

He did not refuse. He had a decent impression of Eva, and to him, she was also a very solid pack mule.

After all, the Primal Berserker class ranked near the top when it came to raw strength.

Zayne casually handed his Starfall Skytrace and the backpack stuffed with food to Eva.

Eva happily accepted everything without hesitation. To her, that weight was nothing.

Eva was fine with it, but others were not.

Her petite and adorable appearance had already attracted plenty of attention from the men around. When they saw Zayne casually dumping everything on the small framed Eva, several of them frowned.

"Hey, do you have any sense of chivalry?" a tall, skinny guy snapped at Zayne. "How can you make a girl carry all that?"

He then turned to Eva with a gentle tone.

"Classmate, you should team up with me instead. I definitely will not make you do heavy labor like this." 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

"Get lost."

Eva clenched her fist. Her pale arm instantly swelled with muscle, solid and powerful, like steel wrapped in white jade.

The sudden change startled the skinny guy. His eyes widened as he stared at Eva’s suddenly thick and muscular arm.

The air seemed to freeze. All eyes focused on the unexpected clash.

No one expected the pink haired, bun wearing, cute looking Eva to have such an imposing arm.

The intense contrast made several people twitch at the corners of their mouths.

Eva grabbed the Starfall Skytrace and the backpack from the ground and slung them over her shoulder with ease.

Seeing how relaxed she looked, the skinny guy could only shut his mouth. Eva looked like she could punch him to death with a single blow.

Twenty minutes passed.

Almost everyone chose to form teams.

Inside the Champion Secret Realm, monster levels could reach the mid thirties.

Monster numbers were limited, and besides dealing with monsters, the champions themselves were also competitors.

If someone went in alone and ran into a team of three or five, they could only accept bad luck.

In previous years, there were even cases where people got tied up and dumped in a corner. They gained no experience until the realm ended.

As the champion of Bitnoris, Garen was already level 22. Naturally, people rushed to team up with him.

Bitnoris was one of the strongest cities in Aurelion. Growing up there, Garen had received the best education and enjoyed the most resources.

His strength far surpassed champions from small cities.

Before long, Garen’s team had more than a dozen people. The skinny guy who had just embarrassed himself in front of Eva was among them.

After Robert announced that entry into the Champion Secret Realm had begun, Garen wrapped an arm around Leah and led his group past Zayne in an imposing procession.

Each of those people was the top existence of their city’s cohort. Now, they followed behind Garen with clear deference.

When he passed Zayne, Garen slowed slightly.

"I looked into you. Zayne, right?" Garen said with a malicious smile. "From Old Shipyard Port. A tiny backwater town."

"Reaching level 18 in a place like that does mean you have talent," he continued. "But a country bumpkin is still a country bumpkin. You will never belong on the big stage."

"I will give you one last chance," Garen said coldly. "Kneel down. Knock your head three times and apologize. We will call that day settled."

"Otherwise, once you enter the Champion Secret Realm, you will bear the consequences."

Garen crossed his arms and lifted his chin, waiting for Zayne to kneel.

His newly formed teammates stared at Zayne with hostile eyes. It was obvious that if Zayne did not apologize, he would face a group assault inside the realm.

In Garen’s mind, he was already being generous by offering Zayne a chance.

Zayne’s response was simple.

He rolled his eyes and calmly spat out two words.

"Idiot."

Garen’s smile froze instantly.

Then his expression slowly darkened, like a storm gathering.

His eyes turned cold and deep. A terrifying aura seeped out of him, heavy and oppressive. The surrounding air trembled, and people’s heartbeats sped up unconsciously.

Was this the true weight of a champion from a major city?

Many faces changed.

In their own cities, they were all top champions. Yet under Garen’s pressure, they felt like they could not survive even one move from him.

Garen stepped toward Zayne, one step at a time. Each step felt impossibly heavy.

"You are very bold," Garen said, leaning close to Zayne. His voice was icy. "Once inside the realm, I will show you what living worse than death really means."

Everyone held their breath, watching in tense silence.

They knew Garen was truly angry now. Zayne was about to suffer.

Sure enough, the next second, Zayne’s expression changed.

He clutched his stomach and staggered backward in pain. Terror filled his face as he looked at Garen.

Only then did everyone notice the gruesome wound on Zayne’s abdomen. Blood poured out nonstop. Through the gash, his internal organs were faintly visible.

"Murder!"

"Murder!"
