I Cast Forbidden Spells Until the World Breaks-Chapter 87 Are You Not Going to Act Yet?
Monsters were divided into low tier and high tier.
High tier monsters could even command low tier ones.
Above monsters, however, existed something far more terrifying.
The Demon Race.
No one knew where the Demon Race came from.
The only thing known was this.
Every single demon was terrifying beyond measure.
They possessed intelligence no weaker than humans.
They could even speak.
Every time demons appeared, it meant an unparalleled catastrophe.
And now, Robert was seeing demons inside the Champion Secret Realm with his own eyes.
How could he not be afraid?
"Demons," Robert roared.
"You dare invade human territory. You have some nerve."
The demons ignored him completely.
Instead, they bent their knees and knelt, as if welcoming someone of higher status.
Under the stunned gazes of everyone present, a tall man slowly stepped forward.
His figure was slender.
His skin was unnaturally pale.
The only difference from a normal human was his eyes.
His pupils were a deep, eerie purple.
They were cold and bottomless.
Robert was completely stunned.
A demon.
And one that looked exactly like a human.
For a moment, Robert hoped this man was a human traitor.
But the reverent posture of the surrounding demons shattered that hope.
The man lifted his purple eyes and slowly swept his gaze across the crowd.
"You humans are nothing more than food for the Demon Race," he said calmly.
"And yet you dare to corral our inferior slaves for your own hunting grounds."
"You truly have no idea how to value your lives."
His voice was cold.
An invisible fear seeped into the bones of everyone present.
Robert felt a deep dread rise in his chest.
He was not afraid of dying.
He was afraid that everyone would die here.
These were champions selected from across the nation through the college entrance trial.
They were the finest of the younger generation.
If all of them died here, it would be a devastating blow to Aurelion.
"Everyone, get behind me," Robert said loudly.
"Do not panic. Bitnoris will notice this anomaly soon."
"They may already be on their way."
As he spoke, Robert stepped forward.
He faced the demons head on.
A terrifying aura erupted from his body.
Robert was a Level 70 Transcender.
The demon man showed no panic at all.
He glanced at Robert with faint disdain.
"Baykal," he said casually.
"He is yours. I want to have some fun with these humans."
"Yes, my lord," a deep voice responded.
A towering figure stepped forward.
He was nearly three meters tall.
Two massive horns rose from his head.
His entire body was encased in red armor that gleamed like metal.
The ground trembled as he moved.
The demon man then attempted to walk past Robert toward the champions.
Robert stepped forward and swung his saber.
He tried to block the man.
But Baykal charged forward instead.
"Do not ruin my lord’s amusement," Baykal growled.
Despite his massive size, his speed was terrifying.
He slammed into Robert and sent him flying.
"I will not let you touch them," Robert shouted.
He tried desperately to break through.
But Baykal was like an insurmountable wall.
No matter how hard Robert tried, he was stopped every time.
His blade struck Baykal again and again.
All it produced were sparks.
Not a single scratch appeared.
"Relax," the demon man said softly as he walked toward the champions.
"I am just playing with you."
He stopped before them and smiled.
"You are the strongest humans selected this year, correct?"
"Come. Fight me."
"If even one of you wins, I will let all of you leave."
He spread his hands, anticipation written on his face.
"Do not worry," he added.
"By your standards, I am only Level 20."
The crowd exchanged looks.
Someone focused carefully.
The aura around the demon man really did feel close to a Level 20 monster.
That realization gave many people courage.
They thought they were facing an unbeatable horror.
But Level 20?
What was there to fear?
They were champions from every city.
Each of them was one in ten thousand.
A tall young man stepped out of the crowd.
He had short hair and sun darkened skin.
His tight combat suit outlined powerful muscles.
He stood straight and looked directly at the demon man.
"I will fight you," he said calmly.
Confidence filled his voice.
"It is the champion of Corn City. Corn David."
"He is a Holy Knight. Level 21."
"With him, we have a real chance."
"Level 21 versus Level 20. We have the advantage..."
The sentence was never finished.
Corn David shot forward like a cannonball.
In the next instant, his body flew backward.
He crashed into the crowd like a bowling ball.
Seven or eight people were knocked down before he stopped.
The entire area went silent.
Corn David was defeated in a single exchange.
"Cough. Cough."
He spat blood violently.
Fragments of internal organs were mixed in.
Without the realm’s immortality rules, he would already be dead.
A clear footprint was embedded in his chest.
"A champion?" the demon man scoffed.
"Pathetic. As weak as ants."
"Next."
No one answered this time.
The man looked like he was only Level 20.
But the power he displayed was horrifying.
Most people did not even see how he attacked.
Corn David was already half dead.
"What?" the demon man sneered.
"Too scared to step forward?"
"Humans really are a race of cowards."
The words ignited the crowd.
Young blood boiled.
One after another, champions charged forward.
One after another, they were struck down with a single blow.
Before this demon man, the so called champions were helpless.
Garen swallowed hard.
His legs trembled as he slowly backed away.
He was one of the few who could follow the demon man’s movements.
And because he could see them, he understood how terrifying the man truly was.
Level 20 was a lie.
Even Level 30 or Level 35 Transcenders would not stand a chance.
Suddenly, Garen froze.
A thought struck him.
He straightened his back and turned toward Zayne.
He shouted righteously.
"Zayne, what are you waiting for?"
"With great power comes great responsibility."
"You are the highest level here."
"You are the strongest."
"Why are you still not making a move?"
