I Have a Dice Left by a God-Chapter 360 - 227: Feeding You to Full Satisfaction
It’s quite comfortable to warm up with the brothers from the Saint Grace Canon Law School, breaking a sweat, taking a shower, and then having a good meal. It’s no less satisfying than playing a spirited basketball game in the past, but as for whether the brothers enjoyed it, he didn’t know.
After the afternoon training session, Li Xin grabbed two fresh, lively lobsters and sat in Young Master Xiong Ying’s carriage heading to the love nest on Mahler Street. Mainly because the young master couldn’t eat shrimp today, and with the principle of not wasting, he gladly accepted them. Tonight, Christie was in charge of the kitchen, preparing a simple and healthy Hedan-style meal, along with steaming two lobsters, mixing a small sauce, popping a bottle of gin—it was just another ordinary day.
In the Canon Law School, the team members were lying on the ground, completely unrecognizable. The men, who had been boasting about taking on anything and everything these past few days, were groaning and whimpering. Celestia kicked them a few times but couldn’t get them to stand up.
"What’s wrong with you guys? So many of you couldn’t even handle one. Brother Li has already showered and gone home, how long do you plan to lie here?" Celestia was so angry she was gnashing her teeth. Remembering that Brother Li liked eating seafood at noon, she had the chef buy the biggest two blue lobsters from the market, and now he wasn’t having dinner.
Why take the lobsters if he’s not eating dinner?
Celestia linked things in her mind, feeling steamed, her forehead a bit hot, staring at the bunch of ’useless’ on the ground with increased disdain.
"Miss, that’s Brother Li. If he could join, I might even qualify as a future prince consort," Lancer said weakly. He was completely beaten.
"Hmph, you bunch. I still had hopes for you, but it seems the so-called fighting spirit of you men is really nothing." Celestia couldn’t help but mock them. These past few days, they were roaring with ambition, saying they wanted to drag Li Xin down. She thought if Li Xin were tired, he might need someone to accompany him, and in the end, only worked up a sweat. "Rock, what are you gawking at? I’m talking about you. Take a look at what you’ve fought today. Where’s your perseverance, where’s your fighting spirit?"
Rock was never afraid of failure, always battled back, now even going toe-to-toe with Simmons, showing his bullheadedness. But faced against Li Xin, he turned into this state.
"I seriously wonder if Brother Li is even human."
"True, some of his combat experience and moves are too... unbelievable, practiced beyond description. Even though he’s holding back, this level of skill is beyond talent—I feel it’s impossible to have this sense without a hundred eighty years of practice."
"Honestly, I think so too. Could it be his ability?"
Simmons lay there, staring at the ceiling, completely drained spiritually. He had activated the third Life Star, feeling a trace of excitement because he knew Brother Li had only activated one Star, so he was ahead by two. But the Divine Relic just stood for the Divine Relic, assisting the body, providing some extra strength; two Stars behind, especially the third Life Star compensated for the past spiritual strength and depth he always thought was lacking. He had been confident in his Knightly path, but the results were identical to before, no changes.
What Rock said was right—the sense of control over distance and attacks in battle was just too advanced. Li Xin didn’t win by sheer spiritual strength, just pure technical dominance. Simmons couldn’t help but think of the Secret Castle; maybe Brother Li had other secrets on him. Avogadro—what does it mean, and what does the connection between the Secret Castle and the Twelve Zodiac Star Disc imply?
"Simmons, Simmons!"
The foot almost stomped on his face before Simmons reacted, turning his head, nearly ruining his face.
"Sedilia, what are you doing!" Simmons grumbled.
"I saw you looking dazed, thought you lost your soul. Do you know where Brother Li went?" Celestia asked.
"How would I know."
"Nonsense, he used your carriage."
"Then go ask Child." Simmons responded weakly.
"Child said you forbade him from saying it." 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
"You already knew and still ask." Simmons laughed bitterly. He could assist where needed; Brother Li using his carriage was trust. How could he leak it?
Celestia stomped off angrily, leaving the others lying around, still adjusting. Every time after exhausting one’s spiritual ability to the limit, one does feel fatigued to the point of immobility. But once recovered, there’s a certain level of improvement, stretching the limit of one’s spiritual ability, while also increasing control proficiency.
Simmons upheld his integrity, as Li Xin arrived at 88 Mahler Street. Before Child could open the door, Li Xin had already hopped down himself, "Uncle Child, thanks, I’m good here; you can head back."
"Alright, young master Li." Child removed his hat to salute, closed the carriage door, and drove away.
Li Xin waved his hand, like a regular opened the door with his key, a faint feminine fragrance truly intoxicating. Christie was already preparing dinner in the kitchen, with several exquisite cold dishes placed on the table.
Li Xin stealthily approached, suddenly hugging Christie from behind, "Beautiful lady, claiming you for myself."
Christie gently smiled, leaning her face closer to Li Xin’s, "Stop being naughty, I’m not finished yet, don’t break my rhythm."
Li Xin hugged Christie as though he got attached; his hands began to misbehave, utterly besotted. Christie exuded a strong scent of sweetness, and she struggled to press Li Xin’s hand down, "Stop it, stop messing around, obediently go sit at the table, I’ve been preparing all afternoon."
Li Xin cheekily kissed her, "Just looks tasty; here, adding a dish."
Christie gazed at the huge blue lobster, "Went to rob Simmons again?"
"What robbery? I’m just helping him out a bit, he’s got no appetite lately." Li Xin laughed.
"Alright, I’ll feed you well tonight." Christie pushed Li Xin out of the kitchen, "Sit quietly, don’t come in again."
Li Xin sat at the table, propping his chin up, just blankly watching Christie busy in the kitchen. Past life’s living was so real, recalling it was surreal, yet life now should be surreal but feels very real.
If life could go on like this, that wouldn’t be too bad.
Occasionally, Christie turned around, seeing Li Xin’s silly look, showing a knowing smile as well. Since the moment they met, they seemed to have an incredible tacit understanding. In life, encountering a soul mate is no easy feat.
Finally, a tableful of delicious dishes was served, the two celebrated with a toast, the victory of the King was also the victory of Hex Bird Society, "Your manuscript fees have already been handed to Kathy." Christie suddenly said.
"Cough, cough, Sister Kathy and I are good friends, the money has another use." Li Xin blinked and hurriedly explained; in the past, it didn’t matter, but now he wouldn’t want any misunderstandings.
"Brother, you’re lacking willpower, remember, never explain to a woman." Christie teased provocatively.
Li Xin clenched his teeth, "Enchantress!"
Had it not been for eating, he’d definitely make her see sense!
"Here, have a piece of lobster to replenish." Christie cut a piece of lobster meat and handed it to Li Xin, who took it in one bite, still biting the fork furiously.
"I declare this week’s manuscript is canceled."
"A true man should not be so petty, come, have another piece."
The dinner ended in a romantic atmosphere; Li Xin was eager, but Christie insisted on tidying up the table first, finding it unbearable otherwise—it was a woman’s compulsion.
Li Xin helped out, together they worked faster, seeing it nearing the end. Li Xin suddenly stuck to her back again, their bodies fitting together. Christie reversed her hand to grasp Li Xin’s wandering hands, wanting to stop this audacious young rascal.
From time to time, carriages passed outside the window as Christie’s breath became hot and hurried...
