I Just Want to Farm, But My Beasts Keep Evolving!!-Chapter 41: The Tree, The Bear and The Water
Five Days Later
Raiden stood at the side of his designed obstacle course. He looked at the Woolie, who was running through the second course while dodging the complex placement of wooden posts easily.
It had been six days since they started preparing for the tournament. They had divided their time among different tasks; mornings were spent on training moves, afternoons on training his agility and evenings on fighting with other Terra Beasts.
Using such methods of training, both Raiden and Woolie saw improvement in their powers every day. Yes, Raiden too.
Ruby had taken it upon herself to supervise their general training, and she insisted that both Raiden and Woolie train together every day. Improved ’’the bond and survivability’ she says.
As he looked at the Woolie, who was easily dodging everything, passing through them like a knife through butter, it became clear to him that this level of training was no longer effective. Good thing he made some new friends a few days ago.
"Alright, everyone, do it now!!"
Hearing his words, countless roars sounded as the path became much more complex in the blink of an eye.
A big brown bear with patches of earth on its skin, roughly 1.8 meters tall on all fours, brought its paws down on the ground with force, channelling power into the ground.
The whole ground and earth started shaking as soon as he did, like a small earthquake had just hit the farm. Woolie, who had been running smoothly, suddenly stumbled as numerous holes appeared all over the ground, making the whole space much more difficult to walk through.
At the same time, on the other side, what seemed like a human-sized young tree decided to uproot itself, grow a face, and start walking, was waiting, watching Woolie closely. As soon as he heard Raiden’s voice, he started to move, borrowing its roots inside the ground.
Woolie, who was now dodging the pits in the ground, almost stumbled and fell once again as the grass he was walking on started to grow wildly, trying to grab his legs and trap him in place.
Just as he got used to it, he felt something heading his way at super-fast speeds. Using his intuition, he moved his head to the side, narrowly avoiding a jet of water spray. He looked back to find a spherical creature made of living water contained within a transparent membrane, like a giant water balloon that grew eyes and a personality. Despite being 2 meters wide, it moves with surprising ease, rolling and bouncing across terrain, firing ’Water Gun’ at Woolie from all angles, making him move much more erratically.
"Woolie!!" ( 。 •̀ ᴖ •́ 。)💢
Undeterred, Woolie pressed on, as thunder started to flash on his whole body. Using the newfound boost of speed using thunder, he became significantly faster, dodging all the traps on the ground as well as dodging the water jets, becoming more and more smooth as he did.
"Woo!!" With a final cry, Woolie successfully completed the training course, landing in front of Raiden with a smug face, declaring himself invincible.
Seeing it was over, the giant sphere of water rolled towards them, coming to a stop with a crestfallen look on its face.
"Bublon..." I am really sorry, we lost once again.
"Haha, Bublon, don’t worry about it. It’s fine." Although not being able to understand the words, Raiden understood what this giant, clumsy and somewhat timid creature was saying as he rubbed his head.
{Bublon}
{Type: Water}

"Mud!!" Next time, I will beat you for sure!!
The brown bear slowly approached them, glaring at Woolie with a fierce look.
"Woolie!!" Bring it on anytime, you smelly bear!!
Woolie glared back directly at it, with sparks flying in between them.
"Alright, alright, you both will have a chance to fight each other again later in the evening, just wait for a while." Raiden patted the shoulder of a giant bear who was taller than himself.
{Mudgrin}
{Type: Earth / Ground}
{Rank: Bronze}
{Description: Mudgrin, an Earth and Ground Type Terran that is built like a stocky, powerful bear, but made entirely of packed, living earth. It uses its thick claws to dig faster than any other Terran.}
{Potential: B Tier}
"Sproutkin~" There, there, don’t fight you guys. We are all friends here~
The young tree approached the trio of Terrans, trying to make peace between both Woolie and Mudgrin.
"Woolie!!/Roar!!" Who is friends with him?!
Hearing his words, both Woolie and Mudgrin roared at him at the same time, scaring him so much he backed away a little bit, bumping into Raiden, who caught him.
"It’s fine, it’s fine. Don’t worry about those two blockheads. Take care of yourself first."
{Sproutkin}
{Type: Grass / Nature}
{Rank: Bronze}
{Description: Sproutkin, a Grass / Nature Type Terran, is a living tree that came alive. It roots itself inside the Earth, gaining powers from it. They are known as the protectors of the forest.}
{Potential: C Tier}
Looking at the 4 of them interacting and playing with each other, Raiden sighed.
When he found that they destoryed his obstacle course that he worked so hard to build, he was pretty mad. But soon enough, Woolie, the ever-charming social butterfly, ended up befriending them all.
And with Ruby supervising and keeping an eye on everything, these Terrans didn’t dare to touch the Berry Trees or harm the Woolies.
Soon enough, Raiden started interacting with these Terra Beasts much more and then hired these three to work at his farm.
Their salary? It was using an upgrade on them once a day. It was practically free labour!!
So Bublon was in charge of watering all the plants, Sproutkin was in charge of looking after them, and finally Mudgrin was in charge of digging and expanding the farm. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
This planted an idea inside his head of using Terra Beasts in the future to scale his farm. This saved him money of hiring humans. But it was all in the future.
"Alright, everyone, it’s time to continue the training, let’s go!!"
---------------------
The next day, Raiden woke up early and made his way towards the market with Woolie.
Soon, he reached the destination.
Standing in front of the store, Raiden frowned as he saw the sign was missing and half of the fabrics were gone.
He made his way inside as the bell chimed overhead.
"Sarah, I am back here with your future supplies!!"
Inside the now half-empty dark room, Sarah, who was sitting alone in her chair, looked up from her smoking, before waving her hand and slumping down even more.
"It’s of no use. I can’t pay you for anything. I am selling this store tomorrow."
Raiden: ???
