I Just Want to Farm, But My Beasts Keep Evolving!!-Chapter 60: The Sloppy Uncle

THUMP.

The big open elevator came to a stop with a mechanical sound as they reached what seemed like the near top of the building.

Morgana led the way inside, clearly familiar with the place already.

Raiden followed behind both women, trying to keep his distance from both. He wasn’t ready for such a high-level, scary woman yet.

After walking for a few minutes, they came across a massive metal door that stretched to the ceiling, halting them in their tracks.

"Ding! People detected. Please identify yourselves." An automated female voice chimed from behind the door.

Hearing this, Isadora took a lead, stepping forward.

"Isadora Sol, Vice President of Continental Alliance. I want full access. Also, I have two more people with me. Confirm their identities and grant them temporary Access Level 2 for nine days."

A small metal panel above them opened, dropping down a scanner that quickly scanned their bodies before withdrawing.

"Identities verified. Welcome, Miss Isadora Sol, Miss Morgana Sol, and Mister Raiden Ashford. Hope you have a pleasant time ahead." With a hiss, the door opened slowly, its mechanical parts moving with a clear clanking sound.

"Whoa, that’s super high tech," Raiden commented in wonder. He had never seen anything like this before, only in the movies.

"Heh, this is nothing. Wait till you see the inside." Morgana commented with pride, like her family owned the place. But with the connections and post her family held at the Alliance, they probably did.

"Alright, kids, just follow me, okay? Don’t go wandering off somewhere you are not supposed to, or you’ll die before you know it." Isadora commented in a cheerful voice. Something told Raiden she wasn’t joking about it.

With that, the duo started following Isadora this time, as she led them through a super high-tech corridor. Everywhere Raiden looked, he found different kinds of environments, labs and monitors with a lot of people inside moving around, working busily.

"Woolie~" Woolie’s eyes wandered around the corridor, as he felt this place was very interesting, like it was calling for him to come out and play. Thankfully, Raiden held a tight grip on him ever since they got off the elevator or who knows what chaos he might have sown.

Whenever someone passed by, they bowed down to Isadora, who was moving in the front, clearly indicating the respect she held.

They soon reached another chamber, where a sloppy-looking man with stubble on his face was sleeping behind the desk, his drool all over it.

Isadora promptly walked up to him and kicked his chair, throwing him downwards.

"Huh?! What?! Invasion!! We have an invasion here!!" The guy stood up, clearly feeling disoriented as he started looking around frantically, only to stop when he found Isadora standing there with her hands folded across her chest.

"Hehehe, beautiful Miss Isadora, when did you get here?" The guy flattered her, trying to get rid of wrinkles in his clothes.

"Sleeping on the job again, Roy? Do you want to get fired that badly? This is like the 100th time I am catching you slacking off here." Isadora was not impressed by him.

"I am really sorry, boss!! Please don’t fire me!! I have a young wife and kids at home to take care of!! I can’t afford their baby milk powder without it! I swear this is the last time you’ll find me sleeping on the job here!!" The guy bowed down full ninety degrees, his tone full of begging.

"Cut the crap, you think I don’t know your wife ran away with someone else?? Also, what kids?? Aren’t both of your kids married already??" Hearing her words, the guy went speechless. What more was he supposed to say?

"Alright, I don’t have enough time for you. Hurry up and open that chamber, and take both of these kids to get tested. Also, register them for Level 1 Food. I want to see you personally deliver their 5 meals a day yourself. If you miss even a single day, you will be fired." Isadora spoke in a commanding tone.

"Got it, boss!! Don’t worry. They will not face any difficulties at all! Follow me, kids, your uncle Roy here will take you flying." The dude grinned, clearly unfazed by the threat, as he inputted something on the console on the wall, opening the door with a hiss.

"Alright you both, follow him. I got something to take care of and will see you guys soon. Be mentally ready, okay? Your next few days will not be pleasant~" Isadora switched back to her teasing voice as she spoke to Raiden and Morgana, before leaving them with Roy.

Both Raiden and Morgana looked at each other before looking at the unreliable uncle in front of them.

"Hehe, Uncle Roy, it’s nice to meet you. My name is Raiden! Can you tell us something about this place?" Raiden took the lead as he walked beside the man.

"Nice to meet you, young man! As for this place, hehe, it’s a surprise. You’ll see yourselves soon. But first, let’s get you both tested." The man spoke with a smile as he led the way inside.

"Tested? Like our powers?" Morgana chipped in from the side.

"Yes, something like that. I think you have already gone through it before, haven’t you? But we’ll do it once again just to be sure, so we can create your precise training plan." The man spoke as he started walking faster.

"How do you know we are here for training?" Raiden asked curiously.

"The boss asked us to open that chamber; of course, it is for training. I am guessing you won some awards, otherwise we can’t open that kind of place normally." Roy said as he reached a room, before he swiped a card, opening it automatically.

Inside the room, he saw a large platform with a lot of devices and scanners attached to it. Sitting against the north side of the wall, it took up half of the room.

Some distance away from it was a central console with a few big monitors attached to it.

"Alright, who will go first? You just need to walk on that platform." Roy moved behind the console as he started pressing some keys.

Seeing the hesitation in Raiden’s eyes as he eyed the machine, Morgana spoke first.

"I’ll go first!!"

But before Morgana took a step on the machine, Woolie broke out of Raiden’s hand and climbed the platform as all the machines came to life!!

"Woolie?!!"
