I Just Wanted to Teach Cultivation, But Goddesses Keep Coming!-Chapter 112 Kneel and Call Me Grandfather
Thirty minutes later, the first dish finally emerged from the kitchen.
The sizzling sounds had been constant since Ling Lan disappeared behind the thin curtain that separated the dining area from her humble cooking space.
The fragrance of garlic, ginger, and freshly heated oil gradually filled the once-empty restaurant, pushing away the stale silence that had dominated it for days.
Ling Lan truly was a one-woman army.
She chopped, stirred, flipped, seasoned, and plated without a single pause.
Every step was done with precision born from years of practice.
Though she had no assistants, no helpers, and no one to share the burden, her movements were efficient and graceful.
It was as if the kitchen was her battlefield and she intended to win.
When she finally stepped out with the first dish, steam curling upward from the plate, her cheeks were slightly flushed from the heat of the flames.
A few strands of black hair clung to her temples, damp with perspiration. Yet her eyes shone brightly.
She was happy.
"Please enjoy your meal, dear customer," Ling Lan said politely, placing the dish in front of Lin Feng with careful hands. "The rest will be coming out shortly."
Her voice carried a subtle excitement she could not fully suppress.
Lin Feng glanced at the dish before him. The presentation was simple but elegant.
The aroma alone was enough to make an ordinary person’s stomach growl.
"No rush," he said calmly. "I’m quite fond of delicious food. I’ll be here all afternoon if necessary."
Ling Lan nodded and hurried back into the kitchen.
What followed was two hours of relentless cooking.
One plate became two. Two became five. Five became ten.
Every time she stepped out, Lin Feng had already finished the previous dish.
Not a single grain of rice remained. Not a drop of broth was left in the bowl.
He ate with calm composure...not greedily, not hurriedly but steadily and efficiently.
Ling Lan began to feel something strange.
At first, she was simply pleased.
A chef’s greatest joy was watching someone enjoy their cooking so thoroughly.
But as dish after dish disappeared, her brows slowly furrowed.
How much had he eaten now?
Enough to feed an entire table of soldiers.
Enough to sustain a small family for several days.
Yet Lin Feng showed no signs of slowing down.
His posture remained relaxed. His breathing steady. His expression composed.
If anything, he looked more refreshed the more he ate.
When Ling Lan brought out yet another steaming plate, she couldn’t help herself.
Her eyes lingered on him.
There was not an ounce of excess fat on his body.
His frame was lean, toned, almost perfectly proportioned.
His shoulders were broad, his waist narrow. His movements were light and controlled.
There was no heaviness to him at all.
"How... how could he eat so much in such a short time?" she whispered under her breath, momentarily forgetting to hide her shock.
She glanced at the stack of empty plates on his table.
Then back at him.
A realization slowly began to dawn on her.
"He’s not human..." she thought, her heartbeat quickening. "No... that’s not it. He must be a powerful expert... a cultivator."
Only cultivators who refined their bodies with spiritual energy could process food at such an absurd rate.
Only someone whose internal energy burned like a furnace could devour such quantities without consequence.
Ling Lan suddenly felt a wave of nervousness wash over her.
A cultivator.
A real expert.
Sitting in her small, nearly bankrupt restaurant... eating her cooking with visible satisfaction.
Her fingers tightened slightly around the tray she was holding.
At the same time, a strange warmth bloomed in her chest.
Out of everyone in the city, this expert had chosen to sit here. In her restaurant. Eating her food.
For the first time in days, the empty tables no longer felt like symbols of failure. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
Instead, the restaurant felt alive and charged with quiet potential.
Ling Lan straightened her back.
If he was an expert, then she would treat him with the utmost respect.
Meanwhile, Lin Feng calmly swallowed another bite, a faint smile playing at the corners of his lips.
He had already noticed her realization.
And he did not mind it at all.
Lin Feng could eat an entire stadium’s worth of food and still be fine, with room for even more in his stomach.
By the time the two-hour mark arrived, the atmosphere inside the restaurant began to shift.
The faint clatter of dishes and the soft sizzling from the kitchen were suddenly interrupted by the sound of heavy footsteps approaching from outside.
One by one, large, menacing men appeared at the entrance and stepped inside.
Their frames filled the doorway, casting long shadows across the floor.
The grins on their faces were twisted, sharp, and unmistakably hostile.
They were not here to eat.
Ling Lan noticed them immediately.
Her heart sank.
Her hands began to tremble as she tried to continue cooking, pretending nothing was wrong.
The knife in her hand slipped slightly. A moment later, her finger brushed against the hot pan.
"Sss—!" she hissed softly, pulling her hand back as pain flared across her skin.
She bit her lip, forcing herself not to cry out, and hurriedly wrapped her finger in a cloth.
Her breathing became shallow, her mind racing.
They came.
Meanwhile, Lin Feng remained seated, calmly finishing another dish.
He neither glanced at the door nor acknowledged the growing tension in the room.
To anyone watching, it would have seemed as though he was completely unaware or completely unconcerned.
Within moments, more than thirty men had flooded into the restaurant.
They dragged chairs across the floor with loud, grating screeches and deliberately positioned themselves around Lin Feng’s table, forming a loose circle.
Their stares were filled with mockery, disdain, and amusement as if they were watching a clueless lamb wander into a den of wolves.
One man leaned in toward another and muttered under his breath, "I know this man. He’s Lin Feng... the trash teacher who suddenly became famous. The one who beat Li Tianhao and crushed his balls on the teaching platform. We shouldn’t act rashly."
