I Just Wanted to Teach Cultivation, But Goddesses Keep Coming!-Chapter 191 My Aura is So Great, Even the Goddesses Can’t Stand Straight
"To be honest, even now, I do not fully understand the limits of my own strength. Every day, I discover something new. A new layer. A new depth." Lin Feng shook his head lightly, as if even he found it troublesome.
The three women were stunned.
Especially Li Zhiyan. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
"Hidden Crane Falls..." she repeated inwardly, engraving the name into her memory as though carving it in stone.
She and her clan had long suspected something far more complicated. They had assumed Lin Feng must be living under a hidden identity.
That he was the young master of some reclusive ancient clan that had sealed itself away from the mortal realm. That he had been sent out to temper himself.
That was the only explanation that made sense for his sudden rise.
Yet the story he told was absurdly simple.
No ancient lineage.
No secret master.
No hidden agenda.
Just a glowing rock beneath a waterfall.
And yet...
Looking at him now, feeling the steady and unfathomable aura surrounding him, she could not dismiss his words as mere fabrication.
"If you doubt my words," Lin Feng said calmly, extending his right hand toward Xia Xinghe, "you are welcome to check whether an old soul resides within this body."
His palm was open. His expression unguarded.
He did not hesitate.
He did not flinch.
That alone made Xia Xinghe’s heart stir slightly.
She stared at his hand for several breaths, her spiritual sense subtly probing the air around him. His aura was deep and tranquil. There was no trace of chaotic soul fluctuation.
No foreign presence she could detect.
But soul inspection was not a simple matter.
It required specialized techniques and carried risks.
After a long moment, she withdrew her gaze.
"I do not possess the ability to thoroughly examine a person’s soul," Xia Xinghe admitted honestly. "However, I will send a letter to the Nine Peaks Sword Sect. There are elders within the sect proficient in such arts. I am certain one of them can arrive within the coming days."
Her voice softened slightly.
"Would that be acceptable to you, fellow Daoist?" She had also carefully noted his final remark that even he was unsure of the extent of his own strength.
Ordinarily, she would have dismissed such a claim as arrogance.
But looking at him now...
She could not see through him at all.
It was as if she were staring into a calm lake whose bottom lay far beyond her perception.
"Of course," Lin Feng replied without the slightest hesitation. "I will remain at Spirit Spring Academy for the foreseeable future. If your sect wishes to verify matters, you may find me here at any time."
A faint smile curved his lips.
"My doors are open to both of you... and to the Nine Peaks Sword Sect as well."
His tone was courteous.
But beneath it lay unshakable confidence.
He was not hiding.
He was not afraid.
If anything, he seemed almost amused by the scrutiny.
Li Zhiyan watched him quietly, her emotions tangled beyond words.
"Thank you, fellow Daoist. You have been exceedingly generous in granting us your time, especially considering that we arrived without prior notice." Xia Xinghe cupped her fists toward Lin Feng once more, her movements graceful and dignified.
Though her tone remained courteous, there was now a subtle shift in her demeanor.
The probing questions had ended, and the atmosphere had relaxed slightly, yet caution still lingered beneath her calm exterior.
"A minor matter," Lin Feng replied with an easy smile. "As I said, my doors are always open to good and righteous people. The Nine Peaks Sword Sect has long upheld justice in this region. I would hardly turn you away."
His words were polite, but his gaze carried a depth that was difficult to read.
He then gestured casually toward the courtyard beyond the living room, sunlight filtering through the trees and casting shifting shadows upon the stone path.
"Since you have come all this way and are now my guests, allow me to fulfill the duties of a proper host. I happen to know a place within the city that I am quite certain the two of you would enjoy. The scenery is elegant, the atmosphere tranquil, and the tea... memorable."
There was something faintly teasing in his tone, as if he already anticipated their reactions. The invitation hung in the air for only a breath before both women answered at the same time.
"Thank you, but we still have pressing matters in the city that require our attention," Xia Xinghe said smoothly, her voice firm yet gentle.
At almost the exact same moment...
"I would be delighted to accept your offer, fellow Daoist Lin Feng!" Yun Luofeng exclaimed, her eyes bright with undisguised excitement.
The contrast was immediate and unmistakable.
For a brief second, silence fell.
Xia Xinghe’s elegant composure did not crack, but the faintest twitch appeared at the corner of her brow.
She did not need to turn her head to know exactly what expression her disciple was wearing.
Yun Luofeng, on the other hand, seemed completely unrestrained by hesitation.
Her eyes were fixed on Lin Feng, completely captivated by his strikingly handsome features.
The sharp contours of his face, the calm authority in his gaze, and the effortless confidence in the way he carried himself left her momentarily breathless.
The steady rhythm of her heartbeat grew louder and louder in her ears, until it drowned out everything else around her.
All she could see was Lin Feng.
The faint curve of his lips. The way sunlight outlined his figure. The quiet strength that seemed to radiate from him without effort.
So absorbed was she that she completely failed to realize her master had intended to decline the invitation altogether.
Li Zhiyan watched from the side, her gaze flickering between the three of them.
One wished to leave this place at once.
The other clearly wished to remain.
Lin Feng sat at the center of it all, still smiling faintly, as though this divergence of intentions amused him.
