I Reawakened as an Inferno Hero-Chapter 29: Transformation
Chapter 29: Transformation
That made Axel furrow an eyebrow.
'Now we get to action?'
It sounded terrifying.
Axel looked at them, starting to get a bit nervous again.
Then, the Extremats, without a pinch of warning, moved. Their sleek suits hissed as hidden mechanisms activated. Panels shifted, metal plates unfolded, and in seconds, their bodies expanded—twisting and reshaping into massive robotic armors. The dim glow of their visors intensified, and the sound of grinding steel filled the air.
THU - THUNK!
Towering over Axel now, they stood like walking war machines. Their once -humanoid forms were now encased in high-tech exoskeletons, their arms morphing into cannon-like weapons, their legs reinforced with hydraulics that rumbled as they stepped forward.
Axel swallowed hard. His fire flickered slightly.
The first Extremat raised an enormous, armored fist and clenched it. "Now... we really rumble."
It seemed insane. Royal Cloak, Dan, and the other superpowers were in shock. This was pure sci-fi.
'These guys are from the future!' Axel thought.
A sharp hiss filled the room. The cannon on its right arm whirred to life, glowing with unstable energy.
Axel, staring at it, eyes wide open, couldn't really predict what would happen, but he knew it was going to be bad.
BOOM! — it fired.
Axel barely had time to react. It came at him, his eyes not blinking even once. He stared in disbelief, watching a cannonball-looking thing coming at him.
It swirled roundly in the air, coming with a sibilant sound.
Axel was paralyzed. He stood rooted to the spot, in complete shock. He couldn't believe what his eyes were seeing. It seemed unreal, completely out of this world.
Updat𝓮d from frёewebnoѵēl.com.
It was mesmerizing in a kinky way. Axel felt like the technology behind it had some kind of magic because he couldn't stop staring at it.
A few centimeters from him now.
Dan pushed him down.
The cannonball thing blasted into the wall, giving it a hole. The hole was enormous, and that...
...that was only a testament to how large the cannonball was.
It was massive. Massively massive, almost the size of a human. It was so large and powerful that if it had even slightly touched Axel, he would be dead.
Axel had to look up his inventory. He thought this might be repetitive, but...
...just the inventory.
[HERO PROFILE SCANNING]
[Inventory]
Golden Armour (Rank F) – Makes your flames golden and fierce. Can burn opponents easily.
Inferno Sword – Go through opponents with the similitude of flickering flames.
Axel shrugged. That was an edit to the former description.
Basic Combat Suit – Offers minor protection. (Upgradeable at Rank E)
Energy Potion x2 – Restores stamina in battle.
Axel sighed and decided that he would have to use the Inferno Sword. Not only that but also the Golden Armour. He was going to go full mode now.
He was going to go berserk, as that was what his enemy had just done.
But first, Axel told the other superheroes, "You guys have to help me. If I'm going to defeat them, you guys really have to."
The superheroes looked at him in his weak state and hesitated a bit, which peeved Royal Cloak. And then, they all nodded, stepping closer, their faces now carrying a touch of bravery.
They even clenched their fists, showing their full commitment.
And so, Axel stood up and twisted his neck sideways, looking at the Extremats, who were surprisingly standing still, watching the scenario.
The thing with them was that they loved to face their opponent, knowing that they were aware. They didn't like to, most of the time, come unexpectedly.
They liked to see their opponents come at them and then thrash them brutally, but still with honor.
Axel clapped his hands instantly, and swoosh!
A blast of wind lifted him up, turned him around, every single fragment in the hall swirling around him with the similitude of leaves falling down tree branches.
He felt a great amount of pain. Excruciating pain. It burned down his body, piercing through his soul, striking through his heart. But that only happened for two seconds.
But...
...it was enough.
The job had been done.
Dan had to move back a bit during the transformation because of the heat that came with it. A large amount of it, capable of setting a normal building ablaze.
Axel was fully transformed now. Clothed in the Golden Armour, holding a large sword in his hand and gripping it very tightly. Very tightly, that if the sword was bread, we would be seeing breadcrumbs now.
Axel waved it over his head. His face silhouetted in flames, his eyes not even showing.
The Golden Armour was slick and clean. Not even a bacterium or a single drop of dirt was on it. It was seemingly unreal, like from another galaxy.
And the sword?
It was covered in flames. White flames that burned greatly. Axel now appeared like a god, possessing another level of power. His look was on another level. He looked like a god locked in a dungeon finally reawakening.
The Extremats looked at him, and with the way their faces were twisted, they were shocked and surprised.
They were upgrading to another level. They hadn't expected Axel to do the same. They hadn't expected Axel to upgrade too.
Axel wasn't smiling now. He was thinking of ways to tear them apart. He had learned the real truth about being a superhero, and it was:
'Sometimes you have to be brutal to save guys. Sometimes you have to be a bad guy to be a good guy. Sometimes you have to be vicious.'
Realizing that, that was what he would do.
The Extremats faced Axel now, with their towering figures. To Axel, it was nothing. They looked like dwarfs now. Like ants.
Axel wasn't overpowered, but now, he would have to be. He would have to summon a great amount of power to defeat these villains.
But first, he would have to act and appear brave. He would have to appear powerful to at least scare them.
And now, the real epic battle would begin!
