I regressed and became the Sword Ice King-Chapter 427- Festival 158- The Sun Comet 7
’Wipe them out?’
The words repeated in the Headmaster’s head. His gaze flared open slightly at the word.
It was an alternative, yes. But a certainty? Maybe not.
Of course, clearing the attackers from both sides, the Red Peacemakers and the System Uprisers, was a task that needed to be done.
Though, taking the entirety of the Academy with them wasn’t an option he had ever considered.
His silence, after her statement, was more than a reply to what she had said.
Kira had recognised it.
Her keen observation and familiarity enabled her to do so with ease.
He was unwilling.
With a sigh, she glanced at Phestus.
"Student President? Is that correct?"
Phestus bowed in response.
"Yes, it is ma’am."
"Good." She said with a calm tone. "Go now..." She stopped mid-sentence.
Glanced at Headmaster Dreau. Sighed.
Then turned to Phestus, once more.
At the same time, she raised a finger in the air and a portal warped to life next to them.
"Use this." She said. "It will take you to the Lecture Theatre buildings....or what is left of it, anyway."
Phestus glanced at it once, nodded and walked towards it.
Only to stop mid-way and glance at her.
"How...How do I proceed?"
Kira’s lips twitched ever so slightly.
A form of satisfaction that threatened to spark into existence.
But her composure wouldn’t let it reveal itself.
Never.
She was not one to applaud people when they did something good or worth acknowledging.
Why would she? After all, it was simply normal to do those things.
Everyone has a form of hurdle that they will have to conquer at one point in their life.
Doing so was simply natural. Not worth a compliment.
How did this relate to the matter at hand? Well, she had not exactly given him enough instructions before she dismissed him.
And if he were observant enough, he would have observed the lingering hesitation in the air.
"True." She said with the boise of a matriarch. "I am yet to think of a proper instruction so go.
When I do, you will know."
Her ridiculously absurd statement seemed to pack as much logic as the laws of nature.
’How am I supposed to know?’ He wondered as he continued down the Portal.
’...maybe a portal?’
As he walked through, the portal dispersed into tiny freckles of light.
Silence hung in the air until Kira turned to Headmaster Dreau.
Snapping the man from the distractions of his thoughts with a glance.
Headmaster Dreau stared at her for a moment, frowned, then wrinkled his brows.
"How are you exempt from the Mana reflux?"
Kira raised a brow. More amused than intrigued.
"It works on everything and everyone who possesses mana....and most likely Miasma and Aura."
He paused slightly.
"So, how does it not work on you?"
Kira let the question hang in the air for a second, before she sucked in air in exasperation.
"Rhabanz. Of all the ridiculous questions you could ask, this is the best."
Headmaster Dreau parted his mouth to speak in protest when she raised a finger.
"I’m a Grand Mage with a comprehensive understanding of mana particles." She scoffed.
"With the right experience and mana manipulation, using mana in a mana reflux area is possible."
"Though, something of that level..."
At this point, she didn’t need to end her statement.
Headmaster Dreau had already done it in his head.
’She’s a Merlin.’
The foundation of magic was proposed by this family.
If there was anyone with a way to use mana in an area that constantly sucks it out, it’ll be them.
’Hah...the Great Families, everyone.’
His tone dripped with sarcasm as he leaned on the table.
"I’m not destroying this territory."
"Hah, Come on Rhabanz. Don’t be a cunt. It’s better this way."
"Kira, nothing about destroying my property sounds better." He clicked his tongue slightly. "Years of history will go down the drain. Do you think I would be willing to let such a tragedy occur?"
Kira’s shoulders shrugged by an inch. An inch.
"Beats me. You’re the one who let it get to this extent." She said with an amused tone. "If anything, you should be begging me to wipe your mess."
Headmaster Dreau’s expression flinched.
"Why?"
Kira’s lips curled into a smirk.
A knowingly malicious one that sent a shiver down his spine.
His reply came through his thoughts rather than her words.
"He knows?"
She scoffed. "Knows? He’s been watching."
Placing her hand on the table, she continued.
"What was her name again? His first daughter. She’s been here, undercover."
"What? I had assumed she had left with her father when he arrived."
"No, she’s very much here." With a slight amused tone, she said. "Reporting all this to Tyson, he would likely set you up for the guillotine.
You know he wants you dead more than anyone."
Headmaster Dreau flinched ever so slightly.
His teeth bit down on his lips as he groaned slightly.
Tyson Swanstorm, the King of the Western Region and also another former classmate.
Did, in fact, want his head.
After all, his greedy hands had always wanted to encroach on the walls of the Academy.
If Rhabanz Dreau is gone, then he would most likely set a figurehead as the Headmaster of the Academy when it resumes.
That way, he gets what he wants.
’Hah...shit.’ He thought to himself as he placed his hands over his face.
’Should have dealt with this mess a long time ago.’
That time had passed though, and now in the present, he lived with the consequences.
With a sigh, he rubbed his temples. His gaze darted to Cadwin, who had been standing idly by behind them all this time.
He wasn’t really alive.
No, not after a self-explosion.
The power of necromancy had brought him back for this moment.
Momentarily giving him consciousness until it was taken away.
’I had adorned Cadwin. A good man with wonderful prospects...but his one blemish...Being a progenitor to this accursed System Uprisers.’
"Alright." He said, his tone dripped in resignation as he turned back to Kira.
"Do what you must, but ensure all students depart...including your daughter and the La Teuer boy."
"I already checked for that." She said as she turned her head to the side. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
Glancing at the wall or beyond it.
Peering far deeper than your average Mage could.
She seemed to be staring, watching. Inspecting.
All in her own right, as if she could see it all.
"I must say, Rhabanz. Your System Uprisers were quite a pest.
They set their own nest in a Sub-territorial Space."
"I had always assumed so."
"Hm." She muttered as she bit her lips slightly.
Calculations were underway within her skull while she stared. "But, I bet you didn’t know that the location had been found already..."
Headmaster Dreau breathed heavily as he slouched on his chair.
Carelessly hanging his arm around the corner while he tapped his teacup with disinterest.
’I would go for a good cup right about now.’
He thought.
"Let me guess..." his breath was heavier now.
Carrying the weight of his actions– past and present.
"Your daughter found it."
"Oh?" She said with amusement. "Lucky guess?"
"She was gone for a while with Louis La Teuer. I only guessed."
"Hm." She hummed slightly.
Tilting her head ever so much until...
"Hah, there she is."
Her smile widened.
"My lovely daughter."

Miles away, at the other end of the Academy.
Where the fields turned to ice and dust, and the skies shook with rain and the ever-increasing torrent of the Mana storms.
The Sub-territorial space, which housed the Red Peacemakers and the System Uprisers, came into view.
Within it, a series of Pipelines.
Varied. Multiple.
It linked and crossed. Spread and intertwined.
Elongated tendrils that reached the entirety like a complex line of intestines.
But as complicated as it seemed, its layout was quite simple, and soon, Ciara came into view.
Backed away, resting on a pipe with her arms folded.
In front of her was an open enclosure with the man she had held captive and about six unconscious bodies.
All alive.
One specifically had her attention...until a moment ago.
She flinched. Instantly.
Jumping to her feet as she whipped her head back.
At that moment, the man screamed in shock as he tripped while emerging from the opening of the enclosure.
Falling to the ground with a loud thud.
"Wha– What is it, Miss?!" He squirmed to his feet.
"I haven’t done anything."
Ciara blinked slightly as she stared at him.
Her expression wrinkled in disgust.
"Shut it and wake them up."
He nodded vigorously as he commenced with his task without another word.
Completely docile to her command.
She watched for a moment as he tapped each and every one of them.
Timothy Pheran, Alicia Berry, Tiara Gold, Koko Dreau, Marshall Lorientt and finally, Mariam Aquarius.
All members of her class.
’I guess it was harder to find others...’
She thought to herself.
Class Two had a much smaller number of Non-System users, and most were powerhouses like the Son Goku twins and Rita Vinci.
Then the third year...would have given them more than a problem.
After observing for a while, she turned back to the wall.
The sensation that crept in her slowly, finding its way back into her chest.
’This again...’ She thought. ’I’m being watched.’
She looked around slowly. Quietly. Suspiciously.
As if trying to locate a spirit she couldn’t see.
Yet, pausing at a particular spot, her expression shifted.
Her gaze narrowed slightly, then her brows nudged downwards. A glare.
Then, with a tone dripping with venom, she muttered.
"Mother."
