Chapter 501 - 501 Invincible: No Mercy for a Viltrumite Warrior, Invincible Gets a Beatdown, The Hate of the World, and A Shower Break with Atom Eve.
How could one define what had just happened?
Two individuals who could end the world had just faced off in an intense fight that started in Chicago, went into space, passed through the first moon, destroyed the second, then returned to Earth, caused an apocalypse in the Pacific, and ended in California.
Omni-Man was everything people imagined; the strongest hero and the most reliable protector, who eventually became the most dangerous villain of them all.
On the other hand, the man who terrified everyone for being a cruel bastard was the one who prevented the crisis.
The eyes of the world were on the scene. The battle was over, but Allen Walker was not a superhero, he was The Regulator with the authority to enforce or even modify laws. He could sentence Omni-Man to death and execute him on the spot.
No one would oppose it, not after everything Omni-Man had said, not after announcing a miserable end for every person in this world. It was a betrayal, a very painful one, that the most beloved man in the world turned out to be someone who viewed humans as mere things and slaves.
"Walker... this won't change anything... they'll come, and it won't just be one... besides, I'm not the strongest of my race..."
Hearing the threat, people around the world snapped out of their daze and started cursing.
"Damned!"
"We trusted you!"
"Traitor!"
"Scum!"
All around the world, people erupted in rage. They burned posters and action figures and destroyed Omni-Man statues and everything that had his image. Every item that was once cherished turned into a target of hatred they couldn't express.
The shouts also rang around Allen, but Omni-Man didn't pay attention. He just clutched his stomach as his eyes stared at Allen, unafraid of dying.
Allen wasn't angry, not after releasing his frustration on Omni-Man. With a clearer mind, Allen had a couple of comments to make.
"You could've kept that information to catch us off guard..."

Allen's voice silenced everyone present, and those watching from around the world. The eyes once again fell on Omni-Man, but he looked coldly at Allen.
"Don't get confused. It's not about regret, it's not about compassion, it's not about apology... my race has a fairly simple ideology in many aspects. The winner is the strongest. The strongest takes the glory, the life of the loser, and everything... You won, you have the right to that information..."
In the GDA, Debbie's expression, which had briefly lit up, went dark again. Cecil squinted for a moment, feeling the impulse to call Allen, but he didn't.
Eve sighed, Amanda snorted in disdain, and Kate looked on in silence. They didn't know what Allen would decide, but they would support him, even if he decided to kill Omni-Man at that moment.
Invincible flew at high speed toward California, but he wasn't sure if he would get there in time, and he didn't know what he would do once he did.
Allen gave a bored look. "What a boring answer... Nolan."
"...!"
Even now, Allen could still see how Nolan was struggling inside. If he wanted to be a villain, he should fully embrace it, or just do nothing.
"Nolan, tell me something. That impulse attack you did around the second moon was devastating. The speed at which you flew created a wake of destruction across the surface..."
"What... do you mean?" Nolan frowned.
"You used that attack on Earth, but unlike on the moon you rose high enough in the sky not to cause devastation in your wake... why?"
Everything fell silent again until Nolan sighed tiredly. "Stop asking pointless questions. I just did that because our goal isn't to destroy the world, but to conquer it...."
Allen stared Nolan in the eyes and then raised his hand. "Fine, you're a shitty superhero, but at least you're a warrior. I would have been disappointed if you justified yourself."
With Allen's words, his decision was clear; he wouldn't let him go. Omni-Man closed his eyes, not trying to avoid his fate.
...
[I.M] "Does anyone have something to say?"
Gwen – I'd tell you to consider what we all know about Nolan Grayson... but...
MJ – I don't know, maybe it's a different universe, and Nolan becomes a full villain.
Unohana – But it's all speculation, isn't it?
Kimiko – Hmm, killing him is the easiest option...
Cate – I don't know...
Emma Frost – Don't make problems for yourself down the line, darling.
Yoruichi – Hmm, I support your decision.
Nanao – A logical option would be to prevent such a powerful man from seeking revenge...
Rías – Umu... I don't know; it's a bet, Allen.
Ruby – According to what I've seen, Omni-Man might get redemption in the future...
Orihime – Hmm, I don't like having to comment on something like this... there's so much I don't understand about this world...
Rukia – I know you'll make the best decision.
Rangiku – Oya~ it's not common to see you hesitate Allen-chan~
Akeno – Ufufu, Allen-kun, if you have the slightest doubt, it's better not to take that responsibility~
Annie – You could just arrest him...
Harleen – I can see that deep down, he's not completely a psychopath. Maybe there's hope...
Asia – I'll never be in favor of killing, but I understand if you do. I won't blame you.
Raven – Complicated...
Isane – Awawa, Allen-sama, just choose what won't make you regret it...
Kara – As a superheroine, I don't want to kill people, but I know that a hero's job ends with handing over criminals to the police, but yours goes even deeper...
Meave – If you'd killed him during the fight, it would have just been an inevitable death, but choosing at this point is a hard thing to do...
Barbara – I don't want you to stain your hands with executions, Allen...
Starfire – This is all so sad. Can't we just imprison him?
Soifon – What nonsense, just kill him...
Donna – In Themyscira, this would've been over already...
Emma W – Allen, don't stain your hands with blood like this...
Megan – It's true, executing someone who can't move is... hard.
Artemis (Goddess) – It might be harsh, but if Nolan comes back to get revenge in the future, it'll be too late to regret it...
Hestia – But Allen is strong. He can handle whatever comes next...
Aphrodite – Ah~ everything you do is fine~
Hippolyta – I've had to severely punish my sisters. Sometimes, you have to make decisions no one wants to make.
Tearju – Allen... Just breathe and make the decision that will affect you the least in the future.
...
The situation was difficult to resolve, but in the end, it was Allen who had the final word. Regardless of everything, his only real concern wasn't about what was right or wrong. There's no room for that in a life-or-death battle. This wasn't a fight between villains and heroes but between two warriors.
Allen made a decision, he pointed his hand at Omni-Man and began to create a sphere of fire.
"..."
The crimson glow intensified, along with the heat it radiated. If there are two marked differences between a Kryptonian and a Viltrumite, it's that while the Viltrumite doesn't have a weakness like Kryptonite, their resistance to damage is indeed lower, as even the Viltrumite Regent couldn't withstand being in the sun for too long.
Allen focused the fire in his hands to create plasma hot enough to pierce through a Viltrumite with ease.
Parents covered their children's eyes. Some chose not to witness it; others prayed, and some cried. Despite her broken heart, Debbie also screamed.
"Wait! No!"
Invincible appeared and struck Allen's hand to prevent him from killing Nolan, but unexpectedly, he wasn't strong enough and didn't even budge Allen.
"What are you doing?"
Allen's voice was cold, of course, he understood the reason behind Invincible's actions. No matter what had happened before, no matter what Omni-Man had said.
"I know..." Mark stood between Allen and Omni-Man, "But he's my father"
...
Cecil punched the wall, "Dammit, what's that kid doing?! Donald!"
"I'm calling, but he's not answering!"
"Someone get him out of there!" Cecil looked at Debbie, who was as stunned as many others. "Debbie, it's your son. You know Walker doesn't mess around."
Debbie got scared but immediately put on a serious expression. "Cecil, take me there!"
Kate growled. "What is that idiot doing? Doesn't he realize he's ruining his life?!"
"You can't be that stupid!" Amanda felt like going to that place to hit Invincible.
Eve, for her part, stopped watching and flew in that direction. On her way, she let out a big sigh.
"Regardless of the outcome, people won't forgive Omni-Man... Mark, you're ruining your life..."
Everyone understood the consequences of Mark intervening to protect Omni-Man, whether he achieved something with his presence or not, the superhero image he had created would be destroyed. People might even hate him.
Mark was aware of this, but still, he had to do it. He felt he had to do it. He couldn't just watch as they killed his father without intervening.
"Mark..." Nolan's gaze was complex, but he quickly grew furious. "Stupid brat! Do you want to humiliate me?!"
Mark was shocked by his father's outburst. Turning around, he saw a look of contempt.
"Dad?"
"Have you already forgotten what I told you?! Viltrumites are a race that rejects weakness! I've lost, and now I must pay with my life!" Nolan looked at his son tiredly. "Just go, Invincible..."
"I can't..."
"Do you realize what you're doing?" Allen pointed his hand at Invincible, the miniature sun in his hand burned menacingly. Mark was scared but didn't step aside.
"I..." Mark gritted his teeth and looked at Allen with sorrow and bitterness. "He's my father... even if he's a cruel bastard..."
Allen withdrew his hand, canceling the power. Mark mistakenly thought he had convinced Allen. However, he soon realized that wasn't the case.
A punch dug into Mark's stomach, even sending the air moving in all directions.
"Ah... argh!"
Mark staggered backward, clutching his own stomach, then knelt down and vomited.
"W-why...?"
"You still ask? This filial love is beautiful for a story, but it doesn't change Nolan's actions in any way..."
"But..."
Allen kicked Invincible in the face, breaking some of his teeth.
"Multiple charges of murder, among them, you should already know who I'm referring to... the murder of civilians, soldiers, superheroes, he's an infiltrator spy, a terrorist, and above all, his clear intention to dominate the world and turn humanity into slaves... all of this was done by the man behind you!"
"I know that!... But... he was also a superhero for twenty years! He saved the world many times!... Ugh! You can't deny that!" Mark clenched his fists. "The reason everyone is here and can judge him is because Omni-Man has been protecting this world for twenty years! Even if it was to conquer it!"
Nolan opened his eyes when he heard his son's words. Even if twenty years were just a breath in his life, for the people of this world, they were very significant. For the first time, there was regret in Nolan's eyes.
"Mark!" Debbie's voice grabbed everyone's attention. Cecil calmed down, straightened his suit, and stood quietly. He had come intending to take Mark away, but with his speech, the situation had complicated.
"Mom..." Mark looked stunned at the woman who gave him life.
"..." Nolan didn't dare look at Debbie after what he had said.
...
Gwen – I guess this is the protagonist's power...
MJ – Mm, that's true. Even if the plot deviates, the protagonist somehow manages to intervene.
Felicia – Allen?
Annie – He's been silent for a while...
Rukia – Are you okay?
Akeno – Allen-kun?
Athena – This is bad...
...
"What a beautiful story..."
Allen's words cut through the emotional scene in front of him like the cold of winter, completely destroying it.
Allen extended his hand and grabbed Mark by the neck. He tried to break free, but couldn't do anything, as if his super strength had disappeared.
"However, the world isn't made of emotional stories..." Allen's eyes turned cold. "A man can spend twenty years being an exemplary Samaritan, helping orphaned children, volunteering in poor areas, being an animal rescuer, and still if he kills one person, he will be condemned for murder!"
"Urgh!"
"Mark! Let him go!" Debbie tried to run, but Cecil embraced her. "Let me go, Cecil!"
"Do you want to die?!" Cecil got upset.
Allen tightened Mark's neck, cutting off his breath. "You're a young hero, someone who will definitely become someone who can replace Omni-Man in the future, but look at you, throwing it all away..."
"Then will you kill me?! Will you kill my father and my mother if they get in the way?!" Mark's eyes filled with frustration. "Is that justice?!"
"Justice?" Allen slammed Invincible into the ground, creating a crater, then clenched his fist and punched him.
"Urgh!"
"Do you think this is justice?! Are you stupid?! Your father wanted to kill you! Do you know the beating he would have given you if I hadn't shown up?! Do you think he would have let you go?! There are endless universes, what makes you think yours has a happy ending?!"
In the future, different Invincibles from different universes would appear, each with a different story. Some were evil and cruel, others sadistic and insane, and there were those with tragic stories. It was said that the protagonist, Invincible, was an anomaly because the Marks from other universes tended to become villains.
"Do you want to be a Viltrumite and side with him?! Because that would mean defending your father!"
"That's not it, that's a different topic!" Invincible tried to return the blows, but it was like a baby trying to hit an adult. Allen hit him harder this time, making him bleed, and each blow made the city tremble.
"AAAHHHH!"
Mark couldn't resist anymore and let out a scream of pain. Cecil had to knock out Debbie. Nolan, who until that moment had stopped resisting, tried to get up, perhaps to save Invincible.
Allen appeared above him and stomped on the hole in his stomach.
"AAARGH!"
Nolan looked at Allen. This human treated him like he was less than garbage. Allen's fists were red from Mark's blood, making Omni-Man even angrier.
"You bastard!"
"Huh?! Are you telling me you can beat your son, but you can't stand when others do it?!" Allen mocked, but soon his gaze turned cold. "Nolan, this is what I hate about you. You're a bastard capable of killing guardians, killing civilians, destroying anything, but deep down, you love your family, and you won't admit it... unfortunately, I don't care."
Allen increased the pressure on Nolan's stomach, making his face contort in pain.
"NO!"
Invincible charged at Allen, even with broken bones and pain all over his body, he managed to intervene and managed to push Allen far enough to pull him away from Nolan.
"M-Mark!"
Nolan couldn't remain indifferent anymore. He knew Allen could kill his son at any moment, and unlike himself, who deep down didn't want to kill Mark, Allen would do it without hesitation.
"LEAVE!"
"...!"
"DAD, JUST GO, BE A BASTARD TO THE END, AND JUST GET OUT OF HERE!"
Allen frowned and elbowed Mark in the head, cracking his skull. However, Mark still didn't let go of Allen.
"You've done horrible things, but I also owe you eighteen years of being a good father... just leave!" Invincible screamed with tears.
"Stop saying stupid things!" Nolan barely got up. "Do you think I'm a kid who needs you to protect me?!"
Allen bit his teeth, losing patience. He released a burst of Ki that pushed Invincible back, his body surrounded by the energy, pressing against Invincible and Omni-Man, preventing them from getting up.
"Maybe I should just kill both of you at this point.."
"Allen..." At that moment, Eve landed. She looked at Allen with irony. "This is already pitiful, why don't we leave this and go away?"
Allen looked at the bitterness in Eve of wanting to ask for some mercy but not daring to say so. Allen's gaze slackened
"Never mind..." Allen withdrew his power and gave them a look of disdain. "Cecil, take care of this, I'm bored with all of this."
Cecil shook his head. "Sorry, Walker, I should have focused more on stopping this."
"You don't have to apologize. I mean, in the end, I understand. If I had to choose between my loved ones or the rest of the world, I'd do the same..."
Cecil trembled upon hearing the implied threat in his words. "I'll pray that nothing like that ever happens to you..."
Allen chuckled, then took Eve's hand and teleported. Once they were in his apartment, he was exhausted. So, Allen said goodbye to his chat before closing the stream. He didn't interact much with them today, but there was no other choice given the circumstances.
...
Allen extended his hand to caress Eve's hair. "I hope you take responsibility for being the straw that broke the camel's back."
"Hehe~" Eve took Allen's hand and smiled, pressing it against her cheek. "I wasn't here to help Mark and his father, but to prevent you from having an unpleasant moment~"
Certainly, killing a dangerous Viltrumite and killing a son who cares about his part and a father who cares about his son are different things. Allen isn't so cruel as to execute people without feeling anything. This could also be seen as hypocritical since there are families who lost their loved ones in Chicago because of Omni-Man. However, that's Cecil's problem.
Allen carried Eve to the bathroom, and they both undressed and entered the shower together. Eve had to take responsibility and wash her lover's body, but she showed no signs of hesitation; on the contrary, the beautiful girl's eyes burned with desire and excitement.
"Allen❤️~"
While Eve worked diligently, Allen got distracted. Now the story had changed. Nolan hadn't even left planet Earth, which meant there were few chances of Invincible's younger brother being born. In addition, Nolan would not encounter the insectoids that are compatible with Viltrumites as humans.
*Swallow*
Eve lowered her head with flushed cheeks while Allen relieved the stress of the day with her help.
