Chapter 502 - 502 Invincible: The End of Omni-Man, The Multiverse Man – Angstrom Levy, Consequences for Invincible and Kate Has a Shameful Secret.
(The Next Day)
The aftermath of the battle between Omni-Man and Allen left large marks on the world. Mountains, a valley, Lake Michigan, the moon; but the greatest loss of life occurred in the city of Chicago, where many people were reported dead.
The only consolation was that compared to how many people would have originally died, the loss was limited to about fifteen percent. It wasn't only because of Allen that fewer victims were claimed; amid the disaster, The more experienced New Guardians arrived to help rescue survivors. Because of them, the tragedy was much smaller than it would've been.
Not everything was positive. The moon was destroyed... again, creating massive meteorites, some even heading toward Earth, but nothing major happened, as the dolls took care of redirecting or, if necessary, destroying them. Allen had to bring in another moon to replace the one that was destroyed... again.
GDA took the body of Immortal while the Mauler twins who revived him were captured by the Ghost Soldiers and taken to The Supermax.
Invincible didn't have much luck. People now knew what he had done, and they certainly wouldn't forgive him easily. From that moment on, whenever he went outside, he would be met with boos from the people. The only good thing for him is that Cecil decided to keep Omni-Man's identity hidden. Officially, Nolan Grayson died in a gas explosion, so Invincible could be Mark Grayson without fear of receiving worldwide hatred.
"It seems you have no intention of letting him return to a normal life," Allen said, leaning back in Cecil's chair with his feet on the desk.
Cecil poured himself a glass of wine from his minibar before looking at Allen.
"Nolan is contained for now, though I have my doubts about whether we have him trapped; maybe he simply doesn't want to escape... anyway, we need a new Omni-Man, and if you aren't one, I should think about Nolan's son..."
"Oh..."
Allen narrowed his eyes. If he had to speak on it, he was truly surprised by Nolan's strength; he didn't think he would be that strong. However, the most plausible theory, based on the existence of parallel universes, is that the Omni-Man of this world is stronger than the original. Not only him, but Thokk was also incredibly strong, enough to injure Allen. A version of Allen without physical restrictions.
"Cecil, are you thinking about using Omni-Man against the Viltrumites?"
Allen's eyes sharpened. Cecil was a man who would make deals with the devil if it benefited him.
Cecil blinked wearily, "I don't know, it's very dangerous, but I don't have many options. There's a Viltrumite empire that wants this world, and who knows how many Omni-Mans I'll have to deal with..."
Allen stood up and adjusted his clothes. "Do whatever you want."
Cecil glanced at Allen out of the corner of his eye, then pulled out a check from his coat pocket and tossed it. It flew toward Allen.
"Walker, this time you've done too much. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask me."
"I'll think about it," Allen shrugged and teleported.
...
Once in his apartment, Allen decided to take a couple of days off from his work as the Regulator. After all, yesterday had been a madhouse.
The Maid 2B approached and removed Allen's coat. For now, no one was home. Amanda stayed at the Guardians' headquarters, motivated by yesterday's incident to enhance her combat skills. Eve was at the university and would come in the afternoon. As for Kate, she only came around when she was bored, although right now, she was also training hard.
"Thanks."
"It's nothing, Master..." the girl smiled slightly. Allen extended his hand and gently pinched 2B's cheek.

"M-Master?"
"It's nothing, but I've noticed you've improved at showing expressions. Your smile, though subtle, is very natural... You've definitely become cute."
2B seemed to stop functioning for a moment before becoming embarrassed. She was thankful that her bandage covered her blush, but unfortunately, it spread all over her face and ears.
Albedo appeared, jealous, grabbing Allen's arm without subtlety and pushing her chest forward to make herself noticed.
"Hmph, that human finally understood the amount of respect he should show towards Allen-sama!"
"Well, I stopped the Superman of this world from turning this reality into a bloodier version of 'Injustice.' If that doesn't build Cecil's confidence in me, nothing will... not that I care if he suspects or hates me, that'd make it more fun..."
Allen walked over to the couch and sat down with Albedo still clinging to his left arm.
It had already become a habit to sit there, looking at the city while reflecting on this world. Invincible was a brutal, bloody, and cruel world. The main universe was already a reality where many would die, and it was just the tip of the iceberg. There were infinite alternate universes where things were even worse. Ironically, the protagonist was mostly responsible for that.
In most universes, Invincible doesn't oppose Omni-Man. On the contrary, he joins him, and together they conquer the world for the Viltrumite empire.
Wednesday appeared at his right. Allen wrapped his arm around her and pulled her close.
"Are you planning to go to other universes?" she asked in a voice much softer than usual.
That question was key. After all, despite the differences in how events played out, ended with Omni-Man revealing his true nature. Now, they were calculating that the first season had ended, but for the second season, there was a subject, or rather a character, that couldn't be overlooked.
"Angstrom Levy..."
...
A Black man with a beard approached the cashier at a convenience store after grabbing a sandwich and a soda. He was wearing blue jeans and a hoodie as if he wanted to blend in.
– "The world can breathe easy because even if he's not a hero, there's someone who can face the Viltrumite threat..." –
On the counter, there was a small TV showing news about yesterday's incident. The cashier sighed in relief when he saw that everything was fine.
"This man, Allen Walker, seems to be very powerful..." said the mysterious man.
The cashier smiled. "My mother was in the center of Chicago yesterday. I don't even want to think about what could've happened to her if it wasn't for Mr. Walker..."
"It's true, no one would expect such an existence in this world..."
"Well, good thing he came."
"He came? Is he an alien?"
The cashier looked at the man as if he couldn't believe some people still didn't know about Allen Walker.
"No, not at all. He's from another universe, or at least that's what he shamelessly said himself," the cashier laughed. "Mr. Walker isn't afraid of anything. He doesn't even hide his address, so everyone knows where he lives. But no villain has the guts to go bother him, especially now that he even defeated Omni-Man!"
"I see..."
The man left the convenience store and walked to a building. Just before entering, he opened a green portal, very similar to one Rick Sanchez would use. Once he crossed, he arrived at a building exactly the same. As he entered, there were many men just like him; if an outsider came in, they would think he had similar power to Dupli-Kate.
"How did it go?" one of them approached, doubt in his eyes.
The man removed his hood. He was Angstrom Levy, a man born with the power to create portals between dimensions. He knew how cruel a universe could be, having seen all kinds of futures, and most of them were very cruel to humanity. "Allen Walker is unique. There are no variants of him in any of the hundreds of universes I've visited... I still can't believe a human so powerful could defeat the strongest version of Omni-Man I've seen... a human capable of defying the world's fate... is absurd"
The Angstrom Levy variants lowered their heads; if someone like Allen had existed in their universes, they would not have ended up in such miserable fates.
"So, should we contact him?" asked another version of Angstrom. "He could be very useful, he's just like you..."
Angstrom had countless variants, but there was only one with the ability to travel between dimensions, only one Angstrom Levy capable of doing that. So technically, he was also unique.
"We can't. Allen Walker is too powerful and unpredictable... If we make one mistake, the price will be too high."
Angstrom had been gathering his own variants from other universes with tragic endings, hoping to create a way to bring peace to everyone. During his journey, he ended up in this world right when Omni-Man would reveal the truth to the world.
He had seen this many times before; there were several possible endings. The most common one was that Invincible would accept conquering the world alongside his father. The second possible ending is that Invincible rebelled against his father, and in that case, either Omni-Man would kill him, or he would let him live and leave. In very rare cases, Invincible would kill Omni-Man and become a mad villain, but that didn't happen.
Before Angstrom Levy's eyes, a man appeared that he had never seen before, a man who fought against the strongest Omni-Man and won without much difficulty.
Angstrom was tempted to leave this universe and never return, but he decided to stay. He couldn't find another Allen Walker no matter how much he searched in other universes.
A variant of Angstrom with a longer beard approached him. "What do you think about testing him?"
Contacting Allen was too big of a risk, but it could also be an opportunity. After all, Angstrom, before becoming a madman obsessed with making Invincible suffer, was a man who truly sought the common good.
Angstrom Levy shook his head, "One problem at a time. First, we need the smartest variants of the Mauler from that universe, but it's risky to release them with Allen Walker around... we should give him a distraction."
...
A week passed quickly, and Invincible, who had recovered from his injuries, flew over the city. He had already seen how the world had changed.
"Get lost, bastard!"
An old woman cursed him as he passed by her building. From the people's point of view, Invincible had chosen his father over this world. Most would, but that didn't change the fact that there were consequences to these actions, and those consequences were pretty obvious.
"Maybe I should stop being a superhero..."
His father was locked away, his mother was devastated, and his friends didn't say anything, but he noticed the Guardians looking at him with disappointment because of his actions.
"You seem depressed..."
In Mark's ears, Allen's mocking voice sounded. He looked up to see Allen lying in midair as if resting on a sofa.
"Allen Walker?!"
Invincible stepped back, scared of Allen after receiving a beating from him. Of course, he knew he had earned it, but Allen's blows were more brutal than those of his father.
"Oh, come on, it's your destiny to get beaten up all the time. This won't even be the worst one you get"
"Are you trying to comfort me?"
"Huh?" Allen frowned. "Why the fuck should I be forced to comfort a man?"
"..."
"Invincible... I just want to say that even if you were an idiot in the end, the fact that you didn't join your father was very brave."
"...!"
Invincible's eyes widened. He never expected to be recognized by Allen, even if it came after being insulted.
"The trust of the people can be regained, as long as you don't change who you are. They'll see you as a hero again someday..." After saying that, Allen vanished.
Invincible stood still, unable to believe what just happened. After a moment, he laughed and shook his head before leaving. This time, it seemed his will and spirit were restored.
...
Allen returned to his apartment and heard the sound of the shower. He thought it was Eve, so he smiled and then stepped into the shower. The figure of a beautiful woman stood in front of him, but she had shoulder-length black hair. It was Katherine Cha... Allen thought for a moment before approaching and hugging her from behind.
"It's rude to get into other people's showers," Allen shamelessly felt Kate's abdomen.
"Ah... I thought free access came with included services~" Kate trembled, but instead of fighting back, she pressed her body against his while flirting.
"Actually, it does come with services. There's also a massage service with a happy ending, if you're interested, Miss Cha..."
"Oh~ that sounds interesting~"
Allen's hands traveled over Kate's body, and she melted. Then, she leaned against the wall. Allen observed Kate, who was looking at him sideways, her lip bitten.
Their relationship with Kate was strange. It was obvious she liked him, but she didn't seem to want a relationship or something was preventing it. But aside from that, Kate was more than willing to do anything with him. Perhaps in the past, Allen wouldn't have accepted such a relationship, but the current Allen was confident that no woman would escape once he had them in his hands.
Allen grabbed Kate's chains and smiled. "Then this time, I'll give you the full service, Miss Cha..."
"Ah!"
...
A couple of hours later Allen sat on his sofa in a bathrobe while Kate drank a beer in the kitchen. She was also wearing a bathrobe.
Allen blinked, curious. "Kate, I have a question. If you were pregnant and made clones just before giving birth, would many independent babies be born, or would it be the same one?"
Kate spat out her beer and looked at Allen with shame and anger. "You really are a son of..."
"Don't look at me like that. I have to teach you a little lesson..."
"Me?" Kate blinked. "Why?"
"Because you want all the benefits of a girlfriend without actually being one..."
Kate stopped moving, and her eyes softened. "To be honest, I like you, I like you a lot, but I'm scared. I'm not like Amanda. She sees you as the morning sun, and she wouldn't care if you had a hundred women, but I'm pretty selfish. I don't have the confidence to accept a life like that..."
Allen stood up and walked toward Kate. She recoiled nervously until she was against the wall, her cheeks red and her breathing quick, showing she was aroused.
"Then I have no choice but to dominate your heart, your mind, your body, and your soul..."
"Huh?!"
"Tell me, Kate, did you enjoy that day when I treated you like my maid?"
"No way that's true!"
Kate turned even redder, and her body trembled. She had felt a strange sensation every time she remembered that moment but had refused to admit it.
Allen grabbed Kate's chin, "I think you lie..."
Kate shook her head. "It's not like that!"
Kate created a clone to grab Allen from behind while she escaped. However, as she was leaving, she heard her clone's moan and saw her kneeling with a collar on her neck. Kate swallowed and couldn't go any further.
"If you want to leave, go ahead. I'll have some quality time with a more obedient Kate..." Allen petted the clone's head, and she smiled fondly.
"Yes~"
Kate glared angrily at her clone, jealousy piercing through her. 'No, I'm not like that!'
Allen ignored her and took the clone to the bedroom to do who knows what. Kate was burning with rage. But this was just a trick to get her to admit her true feelings and desires.
"Wait!" Kate stopped Allen.
Allen looked back to see Kate's lonely and regretful expression.
"What's wrong?" Allen already knew the answer, but he wanted it to come from Kate.
Kate opened her lips, but before she could confess everything, the sound of a phone call interrupted. Allen gritted his teeth, hating being bothered at this moment. He made the phone float from the wall to his hand, and when he heard Cecil's voice, he was about to curse him.
"Walker, we have a serious problem. Nolan escaped!"
"Huh?!"
"He is leaving the solar system!"
"Cecil you son of a bitch fix your prisons!" Allen flew at full speed into space.
...
Omni-Man flew alongside Uranus about to leave the solar system. He wasn't a coward, but he was forced to do it.
"Nolan Grayson... I'm Angstrom Levy. I need you to escape from this world and never let Allen Walker catch you. If you do, I won't harm your wife and son. You know I can do it after seeing what I'm capable of, and you won't be able to stop me..."
Before leaving, Omni-Man called Cecil to explain the situation. Even though he didn't have the right to ask for anything, he requested that he take care of Debbie and Mark. In return, he promised he wouldn't be a danger to the world ever again...
Allen had altered history, but it seemed that altering the plot wouldn't be so easy. Now, even Omni-Man had left the planet, just like in the Canon.
