I, The Celestial Dragon, Rule The Heavens Through The Double Gate-Chapter 201: Brand New Hovercraft
Chapter 201: Brand New Hovercraft
Soon!
The CP department had dispatched a fighter jet. This particular aircraft had been modified by Vegapunk and could now hover freely in mid-air.
After Vegapunk absorbed the technology from World No. 1, not only did it greatly enhance his capabilities, but it also allowed him to further upgrade World No. 1’s designs.
As a result, the World Government’s fighter jets had been significantly improved—now at least twice as powerful as before.
Their weapon systems were also continuously evolving.
Now, not only could these jets hover in mid-air, they could even dive to the bottom of the sea without any issues.
However, the core technology remained tightly controlled by the World Government. All the advanced fighter jets currently in service were secretly built by Vegapunk.
These super fighters were used exclusively by the CP department. Ordinary models were distributed to the Marines.
It was impossible for the Marines to possess the advanced models.
If the Marines ever showed signs of rebellion, the World Government could use its superior technology to eliminate them instantly.
This was the unshakable line the World Government had always maintained.
Even though the Marines were technically a subordinate force under the World Government, they would never be allowed to hold true power.
Amidst the growing noise outside...
Since Sengoku hadn’t seen Kaos yet, he had gone aboard the battleship with the other Marines to get some rest. He planned to meet Kaos the next morning.
Unexpectedly, just after lying down, they saw a fighter jet—built entirely from cyan-colored materials—stationed on the ship and hovering above sea level. Then, Stussy jumped on it, piloted it, and disappeared into the sky.
Watching the unfamiliar jet take off, Sengoku quickly realized it must be one of the World Government’s new models.
This aircraft was clearly far superior to their standard fighters. It didn’t even require a launch platform and could take off vertically.
If only they had access to such jets...
But they all knew the truth: there was no chance the World Government would ever hand over such precious equipment.
Kaos also heard the commotion outside. As he looked around, he noticed Esdeath, who had been resting in bed, had curled up and gone back to sleep.
The next day.
The weather was gloomy, with light rain falling steadily over the sea.
But Kaos didn’t pay it any mind.
He arrived in the cruise ship’s dining hall. The queen and her daughter were already there, serving him a table full of delicious food.
Just as they were finishing their preparations, a figure suddenly appeared in the room and dropped to one knee.
It was a CP agent.
"Reporting to His Highness Kaos—new intel!"
"Speak."
Kaos was chewing a piece of steak as he replied calmly.
The CP agent quickly delivered the report: "A major conflict occurred last night inside Wanokuni. With Kaido and Bullet dead, it’s reasonable to expect that others would fight over their territory."
"But strangely, no forces have moved to take Kaido’s territory. Everyone is keeping to their own land."
"As a result, the internal conflict died down overnight."
"All tobi roppo have been eliminated. The remaining stragglers have also been taken out. Only a small number managed to escape and are currently being hunted down."
Kaos nodded in satisfaction.
As expected, Stussy acted swiftly. The situation in Wanokuni was settled in just one night. Even though a few escaped, it wasn’t a concern.
The key targets—the tobi roppo—had all been wiped out.
With them gone, the Beasts Pirates had effectively fallen into the hands of Queen.
It was nearly time to officially give Queen a title.
He would rise to Four Emperors status and serve as Kaos’s puppet in the New World.
Kaos had no intention of completely stabilizing the New World just yet.
He planned to let chaos fester—allowing it to breed evil—so he could occasionally step in to harvest faith.
As for the method of harvesting faith?
The same as always.
The old tricks worked best.
Kaos waved his hand, dismissing the CP agent, and strolled toward the ship’s bow after finishing his meal.
With a slight wave of his hand, a giant figure appeared in the distant sky, racing toward them at an astonishing speed.
As it reached the cruise ship, its wings began to slow, and it hovered steadily above the water.
"Your Highness Kaos, I’m coming with you!"
Esdeath emerged, though her movements were a little stiff.
Seeing her like that, Kaos smiled and said, "You should stay and rest. Your journey is just beginning."
With those words, he jumped directly onto the dragon’s head.
"His Highness Kaos!"
Just as Kaos leapt up, Sengoku came rushing out from the battleship. He needed to get back to Marine Headquarters quickly.
He couldn’t afford to waste any more time here—there was still so much work waiting for him.
Kaos glanced at Sengoku. After a night’s rest, the man had mostly recovered, though two faint wounds still scarred his face.
Those wounds had been left by Kaos’s mental attack the night before.
"This battleship is now Esdeath’s. Whatever she needs, make sure she gets it."
After issuing that command, Kaos leapt again onto the dragon’s head. Zagula understood instantly, spread its wings, and soared into the sky, disappearing in the clouds.
Once Kaos left, Sengoku stood there, stunned.
This newly built super battleship... was being handed over to that woman?
Wasn’t that a bit too much?
