Chapter 1175 -1174: Chaos Brings About the End of the World

Beyond the Western Mountains lies the largest and most bustling human stronghold.

Its name is “Yui City.”

Yui City spans three thousand miles, where no common passersby are ever seen.

Towering walls reach into the clouds, as unyielding as iron. Flanking the city gates are two colossal mechanical beasts.

These are the guardian beasts of Yui City.

On this day, the sun was bright, the wind gentle, and people went about the daily routines of their lives.

Suddenly, the earth trembled, and a rumbling sound echoed from the horizon.

Those standing on the city walls looked westward, only to see the massive figure of Chaos emerge within sight.

The boundless energy of Stepping into Immortality reverberated across the Firmament.

“Look quickly, what is that?” someone exclaimed, pointing at Chaos in alarm.

“A monster beast is attacking the city! Prepare for defense!”

“Hurry, activate the guardian beasts!”

……

When a group of adventurers arrived at the city gates, they found the defenses already locked in place, ready for battle.

“Open the gates! Let us in!” several of them shouted desperately.

“Did you lead the monster beast here?” someone on the city wall demanded harshly.

“Open the gates first! We can explain everything after we’re inside!” the adventurers pleaded anxiously.

They turned to look back—the figure of Chaos was now terrifyingly close.

“No, your identities are unclear. We cannot let you enter the city at will,” someone on the wall refused firmly.

“We’ll deal with the monster beast first, then capture and interrogate you.”

As the words fell, the massive form of Chaos had already approached.

The group of adventurers cowered in terror in a corner of the city gate.

Chaos stood nearly as tall as the city wall itself, its enormous head exhaling scorching breath like flames, fixing its gaze upon the walls.

At the city gate, the two massive mechanical beasts roared and charged at Chaos.

Chaos raised its claws, and with two thunderous crashes, it easily smashed the two guardian beasts into the ground.

“Impossible! What kind of creature is this?” someone muttered in shock and disbelief.

“Everyone, defend the gates!” the City Lord was the first to react, rallying all forces with determined orders.

This Yui City was the largest human settlement within the Western Mountain territory.

As such, many experts resided here, including numerous hidden masters who had long lived in obscurity.

Chaos extended its right paw and slammed it against the city wall with force.

With a thunderous crash, the entire wall nearly collapsed, leaving a deep gouge where the paw had struck.

Every attack rained down upon Chaos like torrential droplets, but no harm was inflicted. Chaos merely tilted its head and let out an enraged roar.

For a time, the air was filled with raging winds and thunderclashes.

“Let me handle this,” came a powerful shout.

An elder wielding the might of wind and thunder stepped forward.

He wore a gray-black robe, his hands skeletal as dry bones, and his cheeks gaunt like kindling. His frame was sharp and emaciated.

Yet his aura was formidable, and his hands seemed to wield the very essence of thunderbolts.

“It’s Zhou Mo, the Thunderbolt Fist!” someone shouted.

“Zhou Mo once pursued and vanquished the Four Fiends, striking them down across three thousand miles with lightning in hand.

His fame is legendary; perhaps he might have a way,” another said hopefully.

Zhou Mo ascended into the sky, locking his gaze on Chaos’s eyes. His right hand erupted with violent purple lightning.

“Die!” With a loud roar, a torrent of lightning shot forth.

It exploded right before Chaos’s eyes.

Any creature’s eyes should be its most vulnerable spot. Clearly, Zhou Mo aimed to exploit this weakness and strike at Chaos’s eyes.

Yet Chaos didn’t even bother blinking. It allowed the lightning to burst before its eyes, standing utterly motionless.

Then, with a slight movement of its gossamer-thin wings, a fierce wind surged forth.

The gust instantly sent Zhou Mo hurtling out of sight.

“This…,” people within the city exchanged helpless glances, momentarily stunned and unsure of what to do.

Chaos resumed its attack on the city walls. Panic gripped the people within, as even the iron-wrought fortifications wouldn’t hold out for much longer.

Just then, a streak of swordlight sliced across the horizon, its Sword Intent ancient and continuous.

It cleaved the heavens in half and pierced the Firmament, slashing down upon Chaos.

The swordlight exploded, Sword Qi sweeping outward, echoing through the earth for what seemed an eternity.

As the Sword Intent descended, people raised their heads toward the sky.

At the far edge of the horizon, dozens of figures were flying in, their feet treading Immortal Swords.

Each was clad in billowing white robes, their Sword Intent intertwining. Their extraordinary temperament and noble aura were unmistakable.

“It’s the Shu Mountain sect!” someone on the wall cried out.

“We’re saved! Shu Mountain is the most powerful faction in the Western Mountains.

Their Sect Leader, Yin Ruozhuo, is the strongest warrior of this era,

and together with five others forms the legendary Liu Tao.”

“Indeed, Liu Tao is revered as the mightiest force in the world, each member at the very pinnacle of the Divine Vein.”

People murmured and exclaimed, their spirits lifting in unison.

The dozens of Shu Mountain disciples flew forward atop their swords, led by none other than Yin Ruozhuo himself.

Clad in a swordmaster’s robe, his presence exuded a balance of Yin and Yang. His black hair, streaked with hints of white, fell impeccably behind him.

The sword beneath his feet emitted a Tai Ji-like glow, radiating black and white light.

Flashing through layers of void, stirring up countless torrents, he arrived in an instant at the front of Yui City.

“Greetings to Master Yin of Shu Mountain!” The people of Yui City knelt in respect and reverence.

Liu Tao stood as the pinnacle of power in the world, deserving the utmost admiration from all.

Yin Ruozhuo waved his hand gently, signaling everyone to rise.

A disciple from Shu Mountain stepped forward, sword aimed at Chaos. With a sharp tone, he said, “We of Shu Mountain are here. Monster, state your name and purpose for invading Yui City!”

Chaos raised its head, exhaled thunderbolts, and let out a low chuckle. “I am not merely taking Yui City; I intend to rule the entire continent.”

“Impertinent wretch! How dare you spout such arrogant nonsense!” The disciple snorted coldly.

Just as he was about to strike with his sword, Yin Ruozhuo stopped him.

“Ming’er, stand down.”

Yin Ruozhuo’s expression grew somber as he regarded Chaos.

The overwhelming aura surged around him like tidal waves crashing against cliffs, shaking the surrounding void. Unintentionally, he suppressed the entire Firmament.

This presence alone already carried the weight of Immortal Might.

His internal energy was vast and brimming, self-contained, a world unto itself—simplicity within complexity, the Great Dao made plain.

Yet even he could not discern the origins or cultivation level of the monster beast before him.

All he knew was that this creature exerted immense pressure, far surpassing even the other five members of Liu Tao.

“Which of the monster beasts might you be?” Yin Ruozhuo asked.

Having traversed half the Divine Continent, he had never encountered such an entity.

“Why waste words? Today, Yui City will fall,” Chaos said indifferently.

“Using Yui City as my starting point, the entire Divine Continent will also fall.”

As its words faded, Chaos let out a deafening roar.

Thunderbolts surged from its mouth, striking directly at Yin Ruozhuo.

“To the sword,” Yin Ruozhuo said softly, summoning Sword Intent to fill the sky, extinguishing the lightning.

Gripping his longsword, he turned to the others and said, “Step back. This battle is mine alone to fight.”

The other disciples exchanged worried glances but nonetheless retreated into Yui City.
