I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess-Chapter 56: What are you doing, Marionette? (edited)
Marionette, who seemed to be as clean as she was before running off, held Lillian’s body tightly against her, staring down at her with a reserved expression.
"You have done rather well." Marionette’s ruby-red eyes stared softly at Lillian—her eyes glinting with an impressed gaze.
Her body then shifted around a bit.
Lillian, who was still in a slight daze, finally broke out of it.
"What the—? Why are you carrying me—" Lillian’s face was then suddenly slammed into Marionette’s chest.
Marionette, who had just stomped against the ground, shot swiftly towards a crowd of fearful Dwellers, breaking through their crude formation.
Lillian accidentally let out a short, high-pitched squeak at Marionette’s sudden action. (2)
Why was she doing this? Why was Lillian being tightly carried around like a princess in her knight’s arms?
And why were they suddenly retreating from the seemingly endless horde of humanoid insects? Which she didn’t particularly mind.
Lillian raised her lantern over Marionette’s shoulder, staring back at the sight of the tenacious creatures, which began to fade away into the darkness the farther they got.
However...
’What’s that...?’ Lillian thought, narrowing her eyes, focusing on something huge in the back. (2)
She then stared down at the Catacomb Dwellers and even some Brawlers running after them.
Lillian realised how they occasionally glanced back. Their bodies shook fearfully as they seemed to be running away from something instead of after them.
A Catacomb Brawler, hurriedly running after them, was then suddenly lifted into the air.
Its durable carapace was cracked—shattered even—shocking Lillian as she knew how tough it was to even get through its defences.
Under the cracks of its armour, its blood eerily flowed out from the centre of its chest.
Raised high into the air, its blood creepily crawled down a tall, sharp, ebony black spire piercing through its chest.
A pillar possibly even darker than the actual darkness itself.
As the Catacomb Brawler unsettlingly fell down the spire, flailing its limbs around, it was then swung around.
It circled through the air before being tossed into the sky—its blood flowing out of the gaping and unplugged hole in its chest.
The rain of blood then landed on something that seemed to widen.
Widening to reveal a row of teeth so sharp it would leave a knight ashamed of his sword’s edge.
Whatever it was then snapped shut on the falling Catacomb Brawler, devouring it whole.
It seemed to be a maw of a beast that was assumably many metres large.
Lillian then felt the world seemingly trembling as the beast began to move.
"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING!?" Lillian exclaimed in horror. (20)
Marionette, in her usual calm tone, responded with, "Perhaps the predator of the Catacomb residents. Your guess is as good as mine, though."
Marionette continued to clutch Lillian’s body up against her, running farther and farther, quicker and quicker away from the approaching beast.
The beast that continued to swallow the retreating Catacomb residents whole without any sense of remorse from their screeches.
Their unnerving screeches of fear and horror resounded across the expanse of the Catacomb, followed by the sound of metallic crunching and scraping.
The sound of crunching that was wet at the same time.
It would be the sound that would come from putting a man coated in metal and pushing him into a large garbage disposer that shredded him alive.
Countless dozen Savage monsters fell into the gluttonous horror’s maw...
A gluttonous horror that seemed to grow even hungrier the more it chased after them...
She felt the delay between each tremor through the ground increasingly decreased.
The monster was quickening its movements at a concerning rate.
The majority of the Catacomb residents after them had either been crushed, devoured, or went missing.
But Lillian believed the most likely case would’ve been the first two options.
Lillian trembled fearfully at the approaching horror many times larger than them. (8)
A horror coated in the reflective red blood of the Catacomb residents, which continued to run down its body, dyeing it.

Fortunately, Marionette was far ahead of the monster due to the head start they had.
"Do you think you can outrun it?" Lillian asked with a hopeful tone, only for her expression to darken at Marionette’s quick answer. (2)
"No." Marionette plainly answered.
"HUH!? WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO NOW?!" (20)
Marionette shrugged, "Who knows... maybe if you stop distracting me, I might be able to outrun it."
Lillian then went silent, racking her head on what to do.
They currently had a beast capable of eating Catacomb Brawlers and their tough outer shell. Something akin to a horn sharp enough to pierce through its defences and size many times larger than them.
A monstrous beast was coming at them, quickly closing the gap between them to the point. However, it seemed to move back far enough away to where the light from her lantern couldn’t reach it—prolonging its obscurity.
"Oh... that’s quite familiar... I think." Marionette monotonously said, causing Lillian to snap her back to the front and make out the corner of the Catacomb walls.
Lillian widened her eyes, "Have we arrived back to the tree?!" (10)
Marionette quickly ran around the corner, meeting the sight of the tree still shimmering under the pillar of light coming from the hole.
The light seemed to have dimmed a bit. Evident that quite a bit of time has passed.
Lillian’s face brightened at the sight of the tree before darkening at the thought that the monster was still chasing after them. (2)
However, the tremors from the monster’s footsteps seemed to have stopped.
Had it given up?
Marionette quickly climbed the hill with Lillian still in her arms. She then looked back at the way they came before staring down at Lillian.
Lillian stared up at her, sighing in relief before feeling Marionette’s hands disappear from under her, dropping her carelessly on the ground. (2)
"Ow... couldn’t you have been gentler with me?" Lillian groaned, sitting up and rubbing her back. (2)
Marionette then plotted herself on the ground—her breathing a tad bit ragged, "Perhaps if I weren’t tired, I would’ve laid you down much gentler."
She then tilted her head at Lillian, staring at her in the eyes, "Or perhaps do you mean something different?" she asked with a stoic face.
Lillian couldn’t help but blush at what she could be implying, "S-shush! You know that wasn’t what I meant!" (2)
"But what if I didn’t know what you meant?"
"T-thats... anyway! Is that thing still there?" Lillian pointed. (3)
Marionette turned her head back around, staring at the deep darkness, narrowing her eyes.
Lillian felt like Marionette had now engaged in a staring contest with the monster.
"Well?"
"It’s still there. Just staring at us."
Marionette’s revelation that the gluttonous monster was just staring at them made Lillian’s mood even more sourer than it already was...
She sighed, turning towards her system and buying a potion. (2)
Marionette then watched as Lillian reached into the air before pulling out a glass bottle filled with a red liquid.
She then asked in a curious tone, "Must you summon a potion from your spacial storage so dramatically?"
Lillian silently stared at her for a moment—the corners of her lips curving upwards. She suddenly had the grandest plan to get back at Marionette’s countless teases towards her. (2)
Even if some may have actually been genuine and not teases towards her.
"Oh~? Every little action matters when in the presence of a beauty, y’know~" Lillian smirked at her, biting off the cork of the potion and spitting it away. (12)
She then drank the potion under Marionette’s curious gaze.
"... Is that so? Even if it doesn’t have a good reason behind it?" Marionette asked strangely.
Lillian’s face briefly expressed confusion before returning to normal. "Eh? Well... of course!" (2)
She just went with it.
"And what if it was a bold action instead of a small one?" Marionette asked, causing Lillian to become perplexed.
Where was this woman going with this? And why was she focused on this part?
Lillian had thought her attempt at flirting with her would cause at least the tiniest blush to appear on Marionette’s cheek.
But instead, she was being asked questions.
Lillian sighed at the fleeting thought of a blushing Marionette staring bashfully at her. (2)
"Uhm... the bolder, the better, I guess...? The beauties always love it when you’re bold and genuine with your actions." Lillian stated, placing her hands on her hips and nodding to herself. (10)
’I think.’
She wasn’t entirely sure if what she had just said was even true.
Marionette then fell into a deep thought—her palm placed on the side of her cheek. The index tapping softly at it, rhythmically.
Lillian, staring away from Marionette, stared down at her chest plate, which was still covered in blood. She sighed, summoning it back to her Mana Realm. (2)
Lillian’s thoughts then returned to the thing chasing them. She knew it had a sharp horn, that it was large and razor-sharp teeth.
Lillian then turned back to Marionette, "Hey, what did that thing look li—"
Before she could finish her sentence, she was distracted by the fact Marionette had suddenly brought a hand to her right cheek.
Marionette then placed her other hand on her shoulder, gently pushing her down on the ground, crawling over the surprised Lillian, who couldn’t help but watch what was going on.
Marionette gazed down at her—her hands resting on the ground on either side of Lillian’s head.
"... What... are you doing...?" Lillian slowly asked, still in shock at what was happening.
Marionette didn’t respond. Instead, all she did was lower her face closer towards Lillian, which eventually reached only a few inches away from hers.
And then she...
