I Will Survive Till The End: Blood Extermination Academy-Chapter 135: A Splitting Mirage
Chapter 135: A Splitting Mirage
Chapter 135 — A Splitting Mirage.
.
.
It was over in the blink of an eye.
"CALL." The host announced unhurriedly. It was a tie—both Yimu and Leo, Win!
In the first match, Leo had won while Yimu had lost. But now they are both qualified to advance to the next stage.
Huh.
Yimu smirked at Leo, taking out her nail polish from her pockets, and continuing her manicure.
Success!
Floriana, She—Yimu, Rita, Rolo, and Natalia... All members of their Team were qualified to move to the next Phase!
Smile, why shouldn’t she smile?
Behind her, Leo picked up his game and continued playing. However, he paused and looked Levon’s way.
’Bro, it’s all up to you now.’
...
Break time arrived in a flash.
Taking to his feet, Levon, Artilla and a few others left the arena.
After Break, it will be their turn to fight. At the same time, more and more top leaders appeared in the many cubicles above.
Amazing!
They were even more than the last time. Familiar and not-so-familiar faces gathered. They all had plain, relaxed expressions of intrigue and casualness.
Well, they were here to see the bizarre Bloodren 10s everyone was talking about. Some just returned from missions, and others had only heard a thing or two.
Still, it would be a lie to say something within them was rattled, especially after hearing the many perks and advantages the Order had thrown the way of these Bloodren 10s.
It was anything but ordinary, drawing them all in.
And then, the competitions finally commenced.
Battle 5—Viren Vs Potchmay!
Viren the Gothic half-pink, half-green, punk-haired guy, appeared from the shadows.
Viren belonged to the new Bloodren 10 group.
However, the one called Potchmay, belonged to an older Bloodren 10 group.
When he first appeared during the first match, he had a comb in hand, combing and styling his Rockabilly Pompadour.
That was the name of his hairdo. The center of his head resembled a rolled up hotdog. That was the hairdo he rocked 2 weeks ago. As someone very obsessed with his looks, when he first appeared back then, he kept styling his hair endlessly.
But today, when following behind Viren, he looked like a demon straight out of hell.
His hair wasn’t styled, as he allowed it to flow down freely in a wet look.
Honestly, his hair covered all parts of his face except his eyes. He looked like a Possessed human emerging from some horror movie well, ring or something.
Seeing him like this, Delweather and many other Bloodren 9s, lit candles in their hearts for Viren.
Last time, Viren won by cheating Potchmay.
From what they knew of this guy, he was someone who could hold grudges. And when he intended to pay back a grudge, don’t think it will be over in just one battle.
For probably the rest of his life, Viren will have to keep watch on Potchmay. Such a relentless enemy is far scarier than one who takes revenge on the spot.
The spectators had countless thoughts as both emerged from the runnel. It was not until they reached the stage’s center, that the Host raised a hand to signal the start of their match.
BEGIN!
Swish~
Viren unleashed his Shard, a silver gothic bracelet with skulls and spikes.
As for Potchmay, he also released his comb shard, wasting no time taking action.
BAM~
Potchmay appeared before Viren, so fast he seemed otherworldly.
Viren counterattacked, but was pushed back so much he rolled backwards. And before he could get up, a blow landed on his jaw, almost throwing him over the LINE.
"Bastard! I’ve waited one year just to pass this bloody stage, and you dare threaten my progress?"
~Pitchui!
Countless comb teeth shot out like missiles, pinning Viren, pants and jacket wrist. Now, he was in a kneeling position.
"What’s the matter big boy?" Potchmay was cocky.
A sweeping kick from him almost dislocated Viren’s lower jaws. "What? Weren’t you tough last time when you made a fool outta me?"
~BANG!
~BANG!
~BANG!
~BANG!
For a moment, everyone watched as Potchmay not only kicked, punched and kneed, but also used his sharded ability to plunge into Viren’s flesh.
Levon frowned. ’What’s going on? This guy isn’t this weak... So what’s he doing?’
Many also wondered the same thing, feeling that the battle was a little boring.
As for Viren’s team in the arena, they also felt their hearts throb chaotically. However, they’ve been with their boss for so long in the outside world, that they knew him completely.
So what was there to worry about?
They leaned back into their seats, watching the one-sided beatdown with heavy hearts. And sure enough, 10 minutes into the match, THEIR Viren finally cracked.
~Bhahahahahahhahahahah~
Viren’s shrill laughter echoed across the arena, causing many to freeze.
THEN, for the first time since the match began, Viren raised his head to meet Potchmay’s eyes.
"That’s it? Gotten it out of your system now?"
Standing unnaturally, Viren flexed his muscles.
Crack, crack~
All dislocated bones and joints were put in place.
And as for his bloodied lower chin Viren used the blood as hair mousse, to keep his drenched hair intact.
Then, everyone saw him jump and stretch even more, duplicating and swirling his hula-hoop size gothic ring with both hands.
"Tell me, Potchmay," Viren teased. "Do you know the difference between you and I?"
Know? Potchmay gritted his teeth vindictively. Of course he knew!
He, Potchmay, was a far stronger fighter than VIREN!
Although he hid it quickly, Viren still saw the flicker of disgust on Potchmay’s face.
"How amusing." Viren chuckled, somehow becoming a different person all of a sudden. "Little boy... make no mistake! You aren’t talking to the Viren from earlier."
No... Something is different!
What’s going on?
Potchmay and many others frowned, not understanding what Viren meant.
However, Viren’s team smiled wryly.
"He’s come out to play again, hasn’t he."
"Yeah... Whenever he comes out, he leaves the Captain defenseless. Probably why the captain couldn’t do anything else since the beginning.... They were having another internal battle."
Who? Who has come out to play?
Cah-Pui~
The suave Viren spat a mouth load of blood in disgust.
"Honestly, if this guy hadn’t fought me for so long, would we be in this predicament?"
Potchmay was rolling his eyes, a little annoyed. "What the hell is all this bullshit? Enough talking. It’s time to end this once and for all."
"Oh?... Just you?" Viren seemed to have become 10 times smarter, reading Potchmay’s attacks before he even made a move.
Potchmay barely raised hand, and Viren appeared and slapped it down. When did he become this fast?
The two Gothic rings seemed to dance magically in Viren’s hands, as he now utilized them far better than earlier.
But this doesn’t make any sense!
~Bang
Potchmay rolled on the ground in disbelief.
"What the hell is going on? How can you change this much in such a short time?"
POUFF~
Potchmay spat blood out like a fountain as Viren stood crouched on his belly.
It was incredible that Viren used one of his rings to twirl into the air like an umbrella, protecting him from the platter.
The skill set improvement Viren displayed was unnatural.
Sorry, but even the audience wished to know as well. Soon, the murmurs from Viren’s teammates spread like wildfire, causing many to somewhat understand.
"It’s too fast!"
"Exactly! I swear I only blinked once and his skills have grown again."
"How is it possible you ask? Well, that’s because I’m Viren, and at the same time... Not Viren."
"Impossible! How can you be him and not him at the same time?"
"Well, I can understand why a half-witted dimwit like yourself would get stuck. But pray tell, haven’t you heard of the term: Split Personality."
BOOM.
The realization hit the masses like a shock wave.
"So Viren has another personality living in him?"
Viren’s teammates chuckled wryly.
To understand how this split personality came out, one must understand the kind of Fucked up family Viren came from.
It was a monstrous family that could even eat their own offspring for the sake of greed. They say the most vicious creature in the world is a human. However, what they don’t tell you is that there are different grades of viciousness to the tale.
And unfortunately, Viren—a rough kid with cigarette burns on his body, had faced the viciousness most adults hold in their guts.
So with what Viren has gone through in his very young life, it wasn’t surprising he could form an entirely different personality that carried the darkness deep, deep, deep in his heart.
It was this personality who took charge whenever Viren was in danger. It was thanks to this personality that Viren’s parents were now scared shitless of him and never dared to harm him again.
In the end, both Personalities feed off each other. One can never truly dominate the other, nor could one completely eradicate the other.
They are both Viren. However, the Viren they all know, seems to have full control over their body.
