I'll Raise My Future Omega Son-in-law-Chapter 151: A SON’S SACRIFICE
"I ONLY caught a faint whiff of strange pheromones, yet it stuck to my nose for a long time. That’s probably why I only got a nosebleed when we got here."
An Baekya listened to Song Gunwoo’s story.
So, this kid really smelled Lee Heeju’s pheromones earlier.
Anyways...
Right now, only An Baekya, Song Gunwoo, and Mija were left at the table.
Yun Yuhyun sacrificed himself and played with the Kim Twins in the giant sandbox in the middle of the café.
Hence, the three of them could talk freely.
As usual, their nannies and bodyguards were at a safe distance.
"I noticed that you froze up earlier, Baekya," Song Gunwoo said. "What did Uncle Heeju’s do to you?"
"His ’request’ sounded like a command that I must obey or I’ll die," An Baekya said. At times like that, it was best to be honest. "It may sound like an exaggeration, but Lee Heeju-ssi’s pheromones felt like they were crushing me."
"No, it doesn’t sound exaggerated at all." Song Gunwoo said. "After all, there are plenty of illegal drugs that are meant to harm Omegas."
"Gunwoo Hyung, you’re only 12. You’re not supposed to be involved in your family’s illegal business."
"Well, it can’t be helped because my mother is a male Omega. My Alpha father and I are protective of him. That’s why my father started teaching me about the illegal substances that are meant to harm Omegas early." Song Gunwoo then tapped his nose. "Plus, I have a really sensitive nose. I can tell when an Alpha or an Omega uses a substance to change their pheromones. Or if an illegal drug is somehow nearby. When I was younger, I detected an aphrodisiac that a bad person sprinkled on my Daddy’s food."
"You’re like a drug-sniffing dog, then."
An Baekya only realized he said that out loud when Mija suddenly burst out laughing, while Song Gunwoo looked shocked.
Oh, no.
I shouldn’t be getting on this mafia chaebol’s bad side.
"I’m sorry for being rude, Gunwoo Hyung."
Song Gunwoo blinked, and then he chuckled. "No, you don’t have to apologize, Baekya. Most of the kids who know my daddy walk on eggshells around me because they are afraid of him. So, it’s refreshing to hear someone say something like that to me. Thank you for this wonderful experience."
That was a strange thing to be grateful for.
But chaebols have always been weird.
So, An Baekya just smiled and nodded.
"I’ll ask my father for an ’antidote’ that can protect Omegas from the illegal substance that Uncle Heeju is probably using to turn his pheromones deadly," Song Gunwoo said cheerfully. "I want to protect you and your Omega father, Baekya."
"Uhm, thank you, Hyung. But will you be okay? Lee Heeju-ssi seems to be a family friend."
"I can’t consider an adult who hurts Omega kids a family friend. Plus, I don’t think our SG Group is inferior towards Junsung Group, so I’m not really afraid of Uncle Heeju. I’m sure my father will agree with me."
Whew.
Getting involved with those chaebol kids was truly a blessing.
Only a chaebol can fight another chaebol, after all.
"Thank you, Gunwoo Hyung."
"I didn’t say I’ll help for free, did I?"
Yep, chaebols are really petty and greedy bastards.
"You are richer than our family, so I’m sure you don’t need money," An Baekya said. "What do you need?"
"Your story," Song Gunwoo said, then he looked at Mija. "Actually, it’s Mija Noona who wants to hear it. I’m only here to negotiate on her place."
Oh?
"My ’vision’ tells me you’re a kid, but also not," Mija said while looking straight into An Baekya’s eyes as if she could see his soul. "What are you, An Baekya? You and Yun Yuhyun."
Ah...
"I’ll excuse myself," Song Gunwoo said, getting up from his seat. "Supernatural stuff scares me, so I don’t want to hear it."
And, just like that, Song Gunwoo was out.
He joined Yun Yuhyun and the kids in the sandbox.
"The young master just doesn’t care about things not related to his beloved family. Plus, he doesn’t like complicated things since his goal is to live a carefree life," Mija explained Song Gunwoo’s sudden exit. "But I’m the opposite. I like complicated stuff, especially if it involves supernatural elements. So, care to share your story, An Baekya?"
"Will you believe me, Noona?"
"I talk to gods on a daily basis, kid. Try me."
Well, this noona is a shaman. And the shamans serving the chaebol families of this country are legit.
So, it was possible that Mija might really believe him.
However...
"Are you really only after my story because of your curiosity, Noona?" An Baekya asked carefully. "Or do you have some ulterior motive?"
"Ah, you got me."
I knew it— this noona has a hidden agenda.
"Not that I’m boasting, but I’m currently the youngest and the most powerful shaman in this country at the moment," Mija said, leaning against her seat. "I don’t like it, but unfortunately, it’s my job to catch shamans who use their divine power to hurt innocent people. If I don’t fulfill my duty, I’ll lose my divine power."
Catch shamans who abuse their divine power... oh?
"You’re after Shaman Ahra’s neck."
Shaman Ahra was the shaman serving Yun Dujun’s family.
The bitch who allowed Yun Dujun’s mother to hurt Appa again and again.
"Yes, that’s my goal," Mija said, nodding. "I need to gather evidence that Shaman Ahra is using her divine power to mess with the clan members she’s serving. Is she related to whatever is going on with you and your family?"
An Baekya paused for a moment before answering. "I’ll tell you my story, Noona."

"SIR, LEE HEEJU-nim was in the mall earlier and approached the young masters. He invited them to eat with him, but the kids declined."
Yun Dujun frowned after hearing Han Gunil’s report.
Fortunately, his subordinate called when Bae Wonyoung was already asleep. Hence, he didn’t have to step out of the room to take the call.
"Where are the kids now?"
"The young masters are saying goodbye to their friends at the café, sir."
Ah, right.
It was already time for an early dinner.
The kids playing with his children were from chaebol families, so their parents wouldn’t let their children stay out too late.
I should call Heedo-ssi later and thank him for this.
He would also ask for the SG Group’s chairman’s contact number since the SG Group chairman let his son and their family shaman to play with his kids.
I’m still shocked the SG Group chairman allowed his son and their shaman to meet us.
"Take the kids home after they part ways with their friends."
"Yes, sir—"
"Uncle Gunil, are you talking to Abeoji?"
That was Yun Yuhyun’s voice.
"Give the phone to my son."
"Yes, sir."
And, a few moments later...
"Abeoji, I want to see Appa."
"No, you have to go home straight, Yuhyun-ah—"
"I’ll sneak away again if you don’t let me go to the hospital, Abeoji."
"Are you asking to be scolded right now, Yun Yuhyun?"
"I have something important to tell you, Abeoji."
"Whatever it is, it can wait—"
"Appa strangled me once."
Oh.
Yun Dujun’s eyes widened in shock.
But his son wasn’t done with his revelations yet.
"It’s Uncle Heeju’s fault and not Appa’s, though."
What?
Yun Dujun shut his eyes tight while pinching the bridge of his nose. "Tell Han Gunil to bring you here, Yun Yuhyun."
***
"WHY DID you say that to Abeoji?"
Yun Yuhyun raised an eyebrow at An Baekya’s question.
He was in the car with An Baekya while on the phone with his Alpha father earlier.
Grandma Rosa, Grandpa George, and Han Gunil were outside to give them privacy.
I asked them for privacy because I didn’t want them to hear that Appa strangled me once.
It happened in the original timeline anyway.
"Are you planning to reveal the truth to Abeoji?" An Baekya asked, furrowing his brows. "You’ll be punished if you do that."
"Yeah," Yun Yuhyun said, nodding. "And the punishment is losing my memories of the original timeline forever. Once it happens, I’ll get to be a normal child in this timeline."
That should be the same punishment for An Baekya.
And that’s why he doesn’t want to directly help Appa.
"You’re okay with that?" An Baekya asked in disbelief. "You’re okay with losing all those memories and regressing as a real child here?"
"Whether I have my original memories or not, I’ll still live a comfortable life here. I’m an Alpha who came from a rich family, after all. Plus, I’m smart and talented. Whether I decide to be an actor again or work for my grandfather’s company this time, I know I’ll still succeed."
"Good for you."
Yun Yuhyun could hear the bitterness in An Baekya’s voice, and it was completely understandable.
He didn’t mean to rub it on An Baekya’s face— he was simply telling the truth.
Moreover...
"Even without my memories of the original timeline, I know I’d still fall for you in this lifetime, An Baekya."
"Stop saying disgusting things," An Baekya said, obviously disgusted while looking at Yun Yuhyun as if he were a bug. "This is why I refuse to lose my memories and regress mentally. I don’t want to make the same mistake of falling for you again."
Yun Yuhyun had always known it was the reason why An Baekya refused to let go of his old memories, but...
It still hurts hearing it straight from him.
Having said that, he was glad that An Baekya was adamant about keeping his original memories.
"I’m going to tell Abeoji everything, so I’ll probably lose my memories as soon as I’m done with it," Yun Yuhyun said in a serious tone. "But I won’t tell Abeoji that you have your original memories."
An Baekya scoffed. "As you should."
"But, in return, please help Appa as much as the System allows you," Yun Yuhyun said, giving An Baekya one last smile. "That’s the least thing you can do for your former father-in-law, whom you’ve stolen from, An Baekya."

WHAT THE hell is this?
Yun Dujun couldn’t help but feel angry while reading the manuscript titled ’Rewind.’
It was as if the author took inspiration from his family.
Some of the events happened in real life, after all.
But the thing that made him angry was the fact that the Yun Dujun in that novel neglected Bae Wonyoung.
That heartless bastard only used Bae Wonyoung for his method acting.
But it was infuriating because...
I would have ended up like the Yun Dujun in this novel had I not fallen in love with Bae Wonyoung.
There was one thing that Yun Dujun couldn’t accept, though.
The Bae Wonyoung in the novel believed that the Yun Dujun there was in love with the book Lee Heeju.
That wasn’t true.
I never liked Lee Heeju that way, not even once.
But the poor Bae Wonyoung in the novel lost his sanity thinking that his husband was in love with Lee Heeju.
And...
"This Bae Wonyoung strangled his son...?"
Yuhyun also claimed that Wonyoung strangled him once.
What was happening here?
Yun Dujun’s thoughts were interrupted when he heard a knock on the door.
"Abeoji, I’m here."
Ah, it’s Yun Yuhyun.
***
WHEN YUN Yuhyun entered the room, the first thing he noticed was the manuscript in his Alpha father’s hand.
He wasn’t surprised since he already knew about it.
The System told me that Abeoji has gotten his hands on ’Rewind.’
"Yuhyun-ah, let’s talk somewhere else," his Alpha father said while getting up from his seat. "We shouldn’t disturb your appa’s rest."
"Don’t worry, Appa won’t wake up until our conversation is over, Abeoji."
"What makes you sound so confident—"
"Abeoji, I don’t have much time left in this body, so I’ll get straight to the point," Yun Yuhyun said in a serious tone. "Everything that you’ve read in that ’manuscript’ happened in real life— in a previous timeline, that is."
