I'm an Extra, so What?-Chapter 17: Endless Walking
Chapter 17 - Endless Walking
Walk.
Walk..
Walk...
Walk....
At the moment, Luka was teetering on the edge of insanity.
The endless walking after such an exhausting day was already bad enough, but the gnawing hunger and parched throat made it unbearable.
His stomach growled in protest, a sharp reminder of his empty belly, forcing him to stop for a moment.
"We should be close to the dirt road..." Luka muttered under his breath, his mind still sharp enough to retrace his steps with precision.
Perched atop his head, Snow was fast asleep, completely unbothered by his suffering.
Luka let out a long sigh, realizing that without anyone to talk to, the journey ahead would be even more tedious.
But just as he was about to resign himself to the dull solitude, something clicked in his mind.
"Wait... my daily quest! I totally forgot!" His eyes widened in sudden panic. "Shit, don't tell me it has some crappy penalty if I don't complete it..."
Dread crept up his spine as Luka frantically called out, "Open status!"

"Fuck me..." Luka groaned, his frustration mounting as he had prayed he wouldn't be hit with some ridiculous penalty that would make his already miserable state even worse.
However, it seemed God wasn't going to spare him this time...
He swiped away the system window.
At this point, he felt like collapsing onto the ground and letting some random monster come along and eat him.
At least then he wouldn't have to keep walking.
Luka sighed, rubbing his temples. "Well, luckily, it's almost done... I just need to find a monster and kill it."
The reward was decent—enough to make the effort worthwhile—but right now, exhaustion weighed heavily on his body.
His limbs ached, and every step felt like dragging lead.
Still, Luka knew complaining wouldn't change anything, so he bit the bullet and pushed forward.
Moving toward the trees and bushes, he kept his senses sharp, scanning the area for any monsters.
But the deeper he went, the more he realized how much the darkness was working against him.
"Shit, if only it wasn't so damn dark..." Luka muttered under his breath, annoyance laced in his voice.
It didn't help that he didn't have his glasses.
Squinting, he strained his eyes, trying to make out anything in the shadows.
Every shifting leaf and flicker of movement had Luka on edge. His body was tense, ready to react at a moment's notice should anything appear.
Despite his poor vision, his ears caught a faint, erratic noise—one he recognized instantly.
'A goblin?'
A smirk formed on his lips.
'Perfect. It'll be easy to take down.'
Following the sound with careful steps, Luka made his way through the underbrush, his pulse steady despite his exhaustion.
The closer he got, the clearer the noise became—a series of unsettling, guttural grunts mixed with wet, sloppy sounds that made his stomach churn.
'What the hell is it doing...?'
Pressing himself against a thick bush, Luka peeked through the leaves, keeping as silent as possible.

What he saw on the other side made him wish he hadn't.
The goblin was hunched over the corpse of a dead bunny, defiling it in the most repulsive way imaginable.
Luka's stomach twisted in sheer disgust. "Disgusting..." he said under his breath, his voice barely above a whisper, yet thick with revulsion.
Without hesitation, he raised his bow, nocked an arrow, and drew it back.
His tired arms protested, but he ignored the ache, his focus solely on the vile monster in front of him.
With a steady breath, Luka released.
The arrow whistled through the air, striking the goblin clean in the head.
It barely had time to let out a startled grunt before collapsing, its body hitting the dirt with a dull thud.

Luka exhaled, lowering his bow. "Goblins really are the most degenerate monsters... even more so than succubi."
Shaking his head, he stepped out from the bush, making his way toward the lifeless goblin.
He then placed his foot firmly on its chest and yanked the arrow from its skull.
The motion was rough, and with a sickening squelch, dark green blood splattered onto one of his boots.
"Ugh... disgusting," Luka groaned, grimacing in pure disgust. He lifted his foot, shaking it slightly as if that would rid him of the filth.
"I'm throwing these away when I get back."
The thought of walking around with goblin blood on him made his skin crawl.
With a final look of disdain at the corpse, Luka turned away and began retracing his steps.
The cool night air did little to ease his exhaustion, but at least the daily quesrt was over.
As he walked, he glanced upward, his expression softening just a little.
'Good thing Snow is a heavy sleeper... '
Snow remained curled up on Luka's head, completely undisturbed.
'The little guy must've been tired as hell after today... we did have a lot of playtime earlier.'
Leaving the thick forest and back next to the river, Luka scratched his cheek as he called out, "Open Status."
