I'm an Extra, so What?-Chapter 16: Sayonara, [bleep]
Chapter 16 - Sayonara, [bleep]
Luka glanced quickly over his shoulder at the river, noting the barely visible rocks disturbing the gentle current.
'If worse comes to worst, I have an escape route...' he thought to himself.
Any smart man always had a "get the fuck out before things get really bad" plan—preferably one that didn't involve screaming and flailing.
Suddenly, Luka's thoughts were interrupted as Snow let out another furious roar, louder this time.
The bushes trembled, the leaves rustling...
Luka's breath steadied, his body instinctively falling into a rhythm.
The world around him seemed to slow, his heartbeat a quiet drum in his ears.
With careful precision, he drew back the bowstring, his fingers taut against the fletching of his arrow. He aimed at the shaking bush, his muscles coiled like a predator waiting for the perfect strike.
The trembling of the bush intensified.
Something was about to emerge.
It was then...
A sudden burst of movement—Luka didn't hesitate.
He released the arrow in a single, fluid motion, the string singing as the projectile sliced through the air.
Thud.
A soft, pitiful sound followed.
Luka's sharp eyes widened slightly.
A small, white-furred bunny lay motionless on the ground, the arrow lodged between its glassy eyes. Blood pooled beneath its tiny body, staining the dirt red.
A mistake.
Before Luka could fully react, the bush erupted with violent force.
A two-headed wolf lunged forward, its twin jaws splitting open in a savage snarl.
Saliva dripped from its yellowed fangs, splattering onto the grass as it charged with terrifying speed.
"Shit!"
Luka's hands moved on instinct.
He yanked one of his last three arrows, his fingers fumbling in haste as he nocked it onto his bowstring.
His feet shifted back in a hurried but controlled motion, widening the distance between him and the two-headed wolf.
He was careful not to step too close to the riverbank—mud slicked the ground, and one wrong step could send him tumbling into the water.
The two-headed wolf closed in, mere feet away.
Luka didn't hesitate.
He let the arrow fly.
The projectile shot forward with lethal precision.
The two-headed wolf attempted to dodge, its body twisting at the last moment.
But against a class Ranger's aim, evasion was nearly impossible—especially at such close range.
Thud!
The arrow struck deep into the two-headed wolf's side.
A distorted roar tore through the air, both heads reacting in unison—one howling in pain, the other snarling in rage.
The two-headed wolf stumbled, its movement faltering as one head instinctively tried to yank the arrow free with its teeth.
The more it tugged, the deeper the pain seared through its body.
It let out a guttural whimper, momentarily weakening.
Luka smirked. 'In the game, two-headed wolves weren't the best at working together. I can use this to my advantage. Hell, they're nothing more than low-level monsters begging to be farmed.'
With practiced efficiency, he loaded his second-to-last arrow and pulled the string back once more.
His sharp eyes locked onto the snarling head—the one driven by fury, eager to charge again.
He loosed the arrow.
The angry head reacted at the last second, shifting its body just in time.
But in doing so, it exposed the struggling head—the one still trying to dislodge the first arrow.
The second arrow struck true.
A sickening crunch.
The struggling head went limp instantly, its body swaying before slumping forward.
The two-headed wolf stood frozen for a heartbeat, its remaining head blinking in shock as it realized what had happened.
One half of it was completely dead.
Luka puffed out his chest, a proud smile spreading across his face.
'Can't believe I was worried for nothing. Just a dumb monster—easy to take out! All you gotta do is take out one of the heads, and boom! Its whole side is useless.'
Snow chirped happily. Clearly delighted by the scene, the baby dragon scrambled onto Luka's head, standing tall and puffing up as if sharing in his triumph.
"Alright, little guy. Let's claim our kill, shall we?" Luka said, stepping forward.
He stopped a few feet away from the two-headed wolf, keeping a safe distance.
The monster struggled to push itself up, its body quivering from fear.
Rage burned in its eyes as it snapped at the air, growling as loudly as it could in a last act of defiance.
But it was helpless now, its fate already sealed.
Luka calmly loaded his final arrow, drawing the string back with ease. He aimed directly at the last head, meeting its wild, desperate gaze.
"Sayonara, motherfucker," he muttered.

With a twang, the arrow flew.
A clean shot—straight through its skull.
The two-headed wolf gave one last twitch before fully collapsing, finally still.

"Oh, not bad!" Luka was far more pleased with this title than the Goblin Slayer title.
And in all honesty, for him, there was something satisfying about this kill.
He bent down, retrieving the arrows he could.
His adrenaline was still running high, and Luka couldn't help but revel in it.
The feeling was intoxicating.
There was a strange satisfaction in being stronger than another being, in asserting dominance over something.
To control the fate of a creature, to end its existence by your own hands.
It was a heady rush.
And Luka had a small sip of it—it made him hunger for more experience points.
The desire to grind, to push himself further, was creeping in.
Now, he didn't just want to grind... He craved the unhealthy, borderline-obsessive, questionable life grind.
It was a dangerous mindset.
A mindset you had to balance.
'If I want to survive in this game-like world, especially when the main game kicks off, I need to get stronger. I'm not about to let my Extra status hold me back, or let anyone else control my fate. I'll rewrite the plot if I have to—I'll do whatever it takes...'
Luka took a deep breath, trying to calm the urge that stirred within him.
"Well," he spoke aloud.
"I should be close to level 2. I'll aim for an attacking skill this time, and then I can tackle those side quests nearby."
