I'm Trapped Inside a Prince as the Most Powerful Entity-Chapter 161: A Declaration of War
Chapter 161: A Declaration of War
Adam began to walk forward into the cafeteria. His steps were calm and deliberate.
The members of the Red Team who were sitting at their tables saw him approach.
They were completely unconcerned. In fact they seemed almost nonchalant.
It was as if they knew exactly what was going to happen. It was as if they had been anticipating this very confrontation. They were ready for him.
Several lower-ranking members of the Red Team stood up from their tables.
They moved to intercept Adam. They formed a human barrier a wall of bodies between Adam and the table where their leadership sat. They were going to stop him from reaching their leaders.
Ryan walking a few paces behind Adam was terrified. The fear was a palpable living thing inside him. It was twisting his insides into knots. He was so scared he felt sick.
All eyes in the cafeteria were now fixed on this single unfolding drama.
They were all waiting to see what this so-called "potential student" would do now. This was the one praised by both the Emperor and the Principal. How would he handle this? fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓
As Adam reached the human wall of Red Team members they blocked his path. They stood in front of him their arms crossed. One of them a burly sneering upperclassman stepped forward.
"There’s a rule in this place kid," he said. His voice was a mocking condescending drawl.
"There is no fighting in the cafeteria. So we’re warning you," he continued a smirk spreading across his face as he and his friends laughed "if you came here looking for a fight you should come back later. This is not the place for it."
They were confident. They were utterly certain of their position.
No matter how powerful this "Eric" was he wouldn’t dare break a fundamental Academy rule. The punishment for doing so would be severe. He would be expelled.
Adam understood their game perfectly. So, he thought a cold predatory smile touching his own lips they want to play by the rules.
They want to use the Academy’s rules to protect themselves while they bully others. A flicker of amusement danced in his eyes.
Then I will show them what happens when you try to apply your pathetic little rules to an absolute power. In such a confrontation there are no rules. There is no humanity. There is only power. And I have more than enough of that.
And then he vanished.
One moment he was standing before the human barrier. The next he was gone.
He reappeared instantly. He had passed directly through them. And he was now calmly walking on the other side. He was continuing on his path towards the leadership table.
Simultaneously a transparent blue window materialized in front of the terrified Ryan. Ryan was still standing a short distance away watching.
[Sub-System: Emergency Skill]
[Teleportation has been granted to Host.]
The moment the words appeared on the screen Ryan felt a strange pulling sensation. Before he could even process what was happening the world dissolved around him.
He found himself standing directly behind Adam on the other side of the now-bewildered Red Team members.
He looked around completely astonished. He looked first at his new location and then at the System Window which was now fading from his view. He had just teleported. He didn’t know how but he had.
He took a deep breath. His heart was still pounding from the shock. And then seeing Adam continuing to walk forward he slowly hesitantly began to follow him.
The Red Team members who had formed the barrier and indeed many of the other students in the cafeteria were utterly stunned. They couldn’t understand what had just happened.
The members of the other factions however were now watching the scene with an undisguised eager excitement.
They knew that if a confrontation erupted between Adam and the Red Team it would only benefit them.
It would weaken a major rival. They had no intention of stopping Adam. Nor would they interfere to help the Red Team. They were just going to watch the show.
Adam continued his unhurried walk. He finally came to a stop beside the large table where the ones who had beaten Ryan—Samba Somya, Simon and the imposing Cian—were seated.
They were sitting with the other high-ranking members of the Red Team.
Even now with Adam standing right beside them the senior members of the Red Team showed no signs of concern. Confidence and a sense of calm superiority were clearly visible in their expressions.
They did not consider Adam a genuine threat.
They had an unshakeable faith in their own power. It was a power they had cultivated through years of relentless brutal training.
They knew they were strong enough to rival even the elite soldiers of the Empire. So what could this prince from a small insignificant kingdom possibly do to them?
Adam looked at Samba and then he looked at Cian. "You know," he said his voice calm almost conversational "when I first formed my group The New Warriors I made a promise to all of its members."
The Red Team leaders were a little surprised by his approach. They had expected him to come in shouting to make accusations. But instead he was speaking to them with a strange unnerving calmness.
Simon in particular was watching Adam very closely. He wanted Adam to strike the first blow.
That would give them the right under the Academy’s strict rules to retaliate with overwhelming force.
After that even the Academy itself would have no choice but to take action against Adam for starting a fight in the cafeteria.
The Red Team was fully prepared. They were a coiled spring ready to unleash their full might the moment Adam made a hostile move.
Adam continued. His voice was still calm but now there was an undercurrent of cold dangerous fury in it. "I promised all my members protection," he said. "And I promised them freedom. But on the very first day of this Academy you decided to test that promise. You decided to test me."
He then turned away from the Red Team’s table. His gaze swept over the entire silent cafeteria. He raised his voice. His words were now a clear ringing declaration for all to hear.
"And I want to make this clear to everyone here today!" he shouted. "In the future if anyone from any group does anything to any member of my team their fate will be the same as the fate that is about to befall this entire Red Group today!"
His words his open declaration of war caused an immediate reaction.
The members of the Red Group who were seated at the other tables shot to their feet.
Their faces were contorted with rage. The rest of the cafeteria watched with bated anticipation. They knew that Adam had no other choice now.
If he wanted to save his group if he wanted to maintain any semblance of authority he had to fight. But no one believed that he this "Eric" could possibly win.
He was alone. His group was small weak and in no condition to fight.
The Red Group on the other hand had over five hundred members. Many of them were powerful experienced upperclassmen.
The odds were impossible. He was one boy against an army.
