Chapter 164: The Principal’s Wrath

With Cian now unconscious on the floor the remaining members of the Red Team their shock momentarily overriding their fear finally surged forward.

They moved in a unified desperate assault. This was their last chance to salvage some small semblance of their pride. They had to put down this upstart Eric who had so thoroughly humiliated their leaders.

One of the Red Team members a lithe agile fighter leaped forward from behind Cian’s fallen form. He launched a powerful kick aimed directly at Adam’s head. Adam however moved with an almost lazy grace. frёewebηovel.cѳm

He leaned back slightly and the kick whistled harmlessly past his face. As he dodged his body already in motion he simultaneously lashed out with his left hand.

It was the same hand that was still wreathed in that pure white flame-like energy. He struck two other Red Team members who were rushing him from the side. It was a single fluid motion that connected with both their faces at the same time.

The moment his fist enveloped in that blinding white energy made contact the two students were thrown backward. Their bodies went limp. They were completely unconscious before they even hit the ground.

Four more Red Team members now closed in on Adam surrounding him. These were not martial artists they were armed.

Three of them wielded short wicked-looking knives. The fourth held a long staff with a sharp spear-like blade affixed to its end. They were ready to use their weapons.

Adam moved with a speed that was almost impossible to follow. He shot forward a blur of motion. He delivered two powerful kicks to the stomachs of the two knife-wielders who were in front of him.

His legs too were now enveloped in that same pure white energy.

And the impact of his kicks sent the two students flying backward gasping for air. At the same time he struck the other two attackers in the face with his fists.

It was another two swift decisive blows that sent them crashing to the ground unconscious. He was taking them out one by one with incredible ease.

Simon watched this his fury reaching a boiling point.

The plan the entire purpose of this confrontation had been to utterly destroy "Eric" in front of everyone.

It was to crush his nascent new group before it could even take root. But the exact opposite was happening. The Red Team one of the most powerful and feared factions in the entire United Academy was being systematically dismantled.

They were being destroyed by a single first-year student. A student who hadn’t even been in the Academy for a full day. The humiliation was unbearable for Simon.

With a roar of pure unadulterated rage Simon charged forward. His own black sword with its blood-red hilt was held tightly in his hand. He poured all of his magical energy into the blade.

This caused the red pulsating aura around it to flare to life.

It grew brighter more intense more deadly.

He now saw Adam not just as an upstart first-year. He saw him as the single greatest threat he had ever faced in his life.

He was about to unleash his most powerful attack. It was an all-or-nothing strike. He knew it would cause significant collateral damage to the cafeteria itself but he no longer cared.

Somya seeing the immense destructive power gathering around Simon’s blade realized what he was about to do. "Simon stop!" she shouted her voice filled with a desperate urgency.

"That attack is too deadly! You will destroy half the building!"

But Simon was beyond listening. He continued his charge his sword raised high. His mind was consumed by a single all-encompassing desire. He wanted to destroy the boy standing before him.

Adam seeing Simon approach also prepared himself for the final confrontation. He knew his time in Eric’s body was limited.

He had to neutralize all the remaining Red Team members quickly before Eric’s consciousness returned to his body.

He clenched his fist channeling even more of his own power into it. The pure white energy around it grew even brighter even more condensed. He too charged forward ready to meet Simon’s powerful attack head-on.

The two of them Adam and Simon were now just a few feet apart. Their final devastating attacks were about to be unleashed. The entire cafeteria was about to be caught in the crossfire.

And then an immense overwhelmingly powerful energy flooded the entire cafeteria.

It was a pressure so profound so absolute that it made the Principal’s earlier display in the auditorium feel like a gentle breeze in comparison.

The very air seemed to solidify making it impossible to breathe. All the students who had been standing watching the fight with a mixture of fear and awe immediately collapsed to their knees.

They were gasping for air their bodies trembling under the immense crushing weight of this new power.

This new energy was so powerful that this time even the fourth-year students—Simon Somya Killua and the other elites from the different factions—could not withstand it.

They too were forced to their knees. Their own considerable power was utterly insignificant in the face of this new terrifying force.

Adam however remained standing. He recognized this energy. He had felt it before. He immediately halted his attack. The brilliant white light around his fist dissipated.

He looked across at Simon who was now on his hands and knees on the floor. His head was bowed his entire body was shaking as he struggled to breathe under the immense pressure. His powerful attack had been stopped before it even began.

Adam then turned his gaze to the side. He saw them. A group of professors were striding forward with a grim Expression.

And at their head his face a mask of fury was the Principal. He had returned. And he was not happy.

The students had defied his earlier warning. And now they would all face his wrath. The situation had escalated far beyond a simple student brawl.
