Immortal in Horror Game: She is the Fortune Teller!-Chapter 229 - 227: Bloody Castle 8
As Josh was heading downstairs, he ran into Jiang Can and Yushi, who were on their way up.
Seeing Josh, Jiang Can greeted him first, "Where are you going?"
Josh: "To find Thomas."
Yushi looked at her, "Did you change rooms?"
Josh nodded, "Just about to."
Jiang Can said with a smile, "We switched to Room 9 and Room 7. You can come find us if you’re free."
Josh nodded slightly, and they passed each other on the stairs.
Before turning the corner, Josh turned back to look in their direction.
Jiang Can and Yushi were chatting and laughing about something as they left.
"Do you think they’re acting strange too?" Yuze appeared at the corner.
Josh looked at him, "You think so too?"
Yuze nodded, "Can’t pinpoint exactly what’s odd, but it’s definitely bizarre."
Josh: "Be careful."
Yuze looked at her, "Did you change rooms yet?"
Josh shook her head, "Not yet... cough cough..." She cleared her throat, this fever was a nuisance.
Whenever she had a fever, her throat would itch, and she could have a dry cough for ages.
It had been a long time since her last fever, and yet in this game, it was back.
Yuze frowned slightly, "You better hurry, only a few hours left."
Josh looked at him, "Have you changed rooms?"
Yuze nodded, "Yes, I’m in Room 12."
Josh curved her lips slightly, "I’ll be on my way then."
Yuze nodded.
Josh lowered her eyes, hiding the expression at the bottom, and turned to go downstairs.
When she went out, all four people from Mina’s room were present.
The bodies of the four from the twins’ team were lying in her room.
So here’s the question.
Which of her dear teammates killed someone while changing rooms?
Thomas was in the courtyard directing the maids to trim the rosebushes and thorny vines.
Josh walked over, "Mr. Thomas, I’m here to change rooms."
Thomas seemed surprised at how quickly she came, raising an eyebrow in surprise, "Whose room do you want to switch to?"
Josh: "I’ll take Room 1."
Thomas: "And the original owner?"
Josh smiled slightly, "In my room. Also, her friends are there too, perhaps you’d need to trouble Mr. Thomas to find maids to help handle it, the carpet is a bit dirty."
Thomas nodded without saying anything.
Josh seemed to think of something else and added, "Mr. Thomas, could we have a fireplace in Room 1? It’s a bit cold when sleeping at night."
"Of course." Thomas gave a gentlemanly smile.
Josh continued, "If possible, I’d also like a pot of hot tea and some small pastries."
Thomas nodded, "Understood."
Josh smiled, suddenly said, "Mr. Thomas, the feng shui orientation of this castle doesn’t seem right. If you plant two evergreen trees in the southwest, it might effectively purify the feng shui magnetic field, eliminating the owner’s sickness, disasters, and pain."
Thomas was taken aback, as if he’d never heard such a theory, "Planting two trees can eliminate the owner’s sickness and disasters?"
Josh nodded with a smile, winking at him mysteriously, "You might want to give it a try."
Thomas smiled but said nothing more.
Josh received the key card to Room 1 from him but didn’t hurry back to her room.
This Ancient Castle was large, with many places to explore.
Josh wandered to the basement, where she smelled a strong scent of wine in front of a door.
It seemed like an underground wine cellar.
She thought for a moment, then pushed open the wine cellar door.
A rich aroma of wine wafted over her, with stairs extending downward from the doorway, leading to an underground passage with flickering candlelight on either side, just enough to see the stairs.
An icy wind blew through the passage, accompanied by a damp, bloody smell.
It was clear this was not a proper place.
Josh quickly drew a symbol with her raised hand, fearlessly stepping inside.
Her slender figure was instantly swallowed by the darkness.
She followed the steps down; the stone steps were polished very smoothly, indicating that people often used this path.
With each step she took, a flash of golden light would pass beneath her feet, purifying the miasma on the stairs.
Barrage: [It feels like I’m watching a different game. I just came over from another live stream where Mina and Kasuo ventured into this secret passage and were pulled down by ghosts as soon as they stepped in, ending up severely injured.]
[Coming from Rob’s live stream, he didn’t fare much better.]
[So why is it that when Josh goes in, nothing happens? It’s like the ghosts vanished into thin air?]
[Could it be related to those two gestures she just made? I’ve noticed she often does this, and then there’s a flash of light, it should be her personal skill, right?]
Josh glanced at the barrage and smiled, "You seem really curious about my personal skills?"
