Chapter 267: Chapter 262: Strange Divine Academy 7

Erin’s face turned pale, and she hurriedly defended, "These aren’t mine..."

She couldn’t return the dishes once they were taken out, but they weren’t hers. Why should she pay for that shameless woman’s food?!

The cafeteria lady slowly leaned her head towards her, "Do you want to return the meal?"

Erin was startled and hurriedly said, "These aren’t mine! They’re hers!"

Josh: "But they’re not mine. Isn’t it who holds the food is whose?"

Erin was so angry she almost transformed, but seeing the cafeteria lady’s sinister gaze, she settled down and had no choice but to resentfully pay the bill. Holding two portions of food, she gave a hateful glance to the smiling Josh beside her and turned to find a seat.

Josh cheerfully followed, sat opposite her, and took back his tray.

Erin stared at her menacingly, "Are you asking for death?"

Josh chuckled, looking at her with some kindness in her eyes, "I’m doing this for you~ So much food, can you finish it by yourself?"

Erin took quite a bit herself, and Josh, being in a growing phase, ate even more.

Combined, Erin probably couldn’t finish it all.

Josh looked at her in surprise, his voice raised a bit, "No way? You don’t plan to waste food, do you?"

Her voice caught the attention of the cafeteria’s discipline patrol staff.

Erin’s face showed a trace of panic, "What are you babbling about!"

Her hand slowly released the food tray.

With a grin, Josh took his tray, "Well, thank you, tablemate, for treating me to lunch~"

Erin’s face was somber as she glared at her hatefully, lowered her head to eat, and viciously threatened, "If you leave even a bit, I’ll kill you!"

Josh earnestly said, "How could I? Wastefulness is a very shameful act."

She glanced at the passing patrol staff, "Isn’t that right?"

The person gave her an approving glance.

The players watching this scene were all dumbfounded. How on earth could this be possible??

The NPC tablemates didn’t seem easy to mess with, how did she dare to make the other party treat?

Some were tempted to try it themselves but retracted their necks after seeing the ferocious NPCs next to them.

Besides, these NPCs weren’t fools. After Josh’s maneuver, the others deliberately kept a long distance from their players.

Bumming a meal was simply impossible.

For a moment, everyone couldn’t help but feel a bit envious of Josh. Why hadn’t they thought of that trick?

Josh ate while naturally asking, "Here, do class duties have more authority?"

Erin ignored her, just focused on eating.

Josh picked the beans she didn’t like into her bowl, "Come on, say something, tablemate!"

Looking at the beans tossed in, Erin’s face turned red with anger, "Don’t push it!"

Josh chatted as if with a normal friend, "Aren’t we good friends? I don’t like beans, could you help me eat them?"

Erin had never seen such a shameless person before. Enraged, she threw the beans back, "Back off!"

Josh shrugged and asked again, "Do you want to be a class president? What benefits does being a class president have?"

Erin gave her a sarcastic glance, "Of course being a class president has benefits. Since you’re so eager, why don’t you convince Teacher Windsor to make me the president?"

"Sure thing." Josh nodded with a smile.

Erin rolled her eyes and quickly finished her meal and slipped away.

Within three meters of Josh, her blood pressure had never dropped.

After lunch, instead of returning to class, Josh went to the teacher’s office.

Upon seeing her, Windsor’s gaze instantly darkened, "Not taking a nap in the dormitory, what are you doing here? Asking for death?"

Josh greeted reverently and said, "Teacher, I can tell fortunes. Would you like one?"

Windsor sneered, her neck extending like a snake’s head towards Josh, her eyes filled with murder, "Not interested in fortune-telling, but I haven’t had lunch yet, and I’m hungry."

The snake head approached Josh, the stinking saliva dripping from its mouth.

The snake’s mouth opened wide with a hiss, densely packed sharp teeth glistening with mucus, fierce and twisted.

Josh remained calm, "Judging by your appearance, since joining the school, you haven’t been rated as the best teacher, right? Don’t you want to be rated at least once?"

The snake’s head paused, "What do you mean?"

Josh smiled, "I can help you."

After leaving the office, Josh didn’t rush back to the classroom but went to the central square.

Post-lunch was free time, many players were outside exploring clues, and NPCs were wandering around too.

Josh discreetly approached the statue’s location, and as she neared the red and white rose garden, she pretended to trip on her shoelace, falling into the garden, her body sprawling at the base of the statue.

At the moment her hand touched the statue, she activated the Super Sensing Skill.

Overwhelming displeasure and the agitation from being offended converged into a killing intent.

Indeed a conscious living entity!

Josh: "...Stupid jerk, who cares to touch you?"

She quickly got up, kneeling beside the flower bed, "Holy Pope, please forgive me. I shouldn’t have deliberately fallen beside you, but I couldn’t stop myself from wanting to get close to you."

She raised her head devoutly, making a praying gesture as she stared at the statue, "Pope, I just can’t control my admiration for you. The daily midday prayers aren’t enough to express my love and respect for you."

"Please forgive my offense and touch, I swear, I’ll never do it again, never again..." She gazed longingly at the statue, murmuring like convincing herself.

She thought to pluck the red and white roses at her feet as an offering but realized upon touching that these flowers had consciousness too.

She hurriedly activated Super Sensing, the flood of negative emotions made her frown slightly, a trace of surprise in her eyes.

Afraid the statue might notice, she quickly composed herself, feigning a focus on her prayers.

Moments later, she repeated the prayer a few more times before leaving.

In the afternoon, the class bell rang on time.

Some players panicked in the classroom, and upon seeing Josh enter, furiously directed their anger at her: "Josh! You despicable person!"

Josh raised an eyebrow high, "What? Did I dig up your ancestors’ graves?"

Players glared at her with rage, "Where on earth did you hide the schedule?"

Josh glanced at her messy desk, then swept over the people whose fury hid some panic, showing exaggerated surprise, "No way? You all seriously skipped lunch to search my schedule, and stole my stuff for nothing, really?"

The guy and girl were clearly flustered, "Who stole your stuff?"

The guy was even angrier, "Besides, we’re all players! Why not share some clues with us? The schedule isn’t vital, sharing it would make things easier for everyone. What’s the point of hiding it?"

Josh grinned, pulling a printed schedule from her pocket in an irritatingly cheerful tone, "It’s interesting~~ seeing you looking guilty and coming up empty-handed was quite fun!"

"You!" The girl’s face grew more unsightly seeing this, "You carried the schedule all along?! So you said that on purpose before leaving?"

Josh innocently asked, "What did I say before leaving? I don’t remember."

In anger, the girl said, "Before you left, you warned us not to touch your stuff. If there wasn’t a schedule inside, who would touch your trashy desk? Just those two worn-out books!"

Josh blinked, "Of course, I’d be scared you’d steal my stuff. I just got those new books from the office. In case someone was too dumb and hadn’t found where to get books yet, they might steal mine."

Right! Why hadn’t they thought of that?

The guy and girl’s faces both showed embarrassment. Even without the schedule, stealing new books would be nice too, since they hadn’t yet figured out where to get books.
