"Well, it is time to prepare for the next step," Esmeralda said while having a hard time hiding her smile.

"You could at least pretend that you aren't excited for this," Branden furrowed his eyebrows. "People will question your judgment."

"We can do that, but we will need more people here," Rain said. "Besides, once we began to move, we won't return to this planet probably for a while… years perhaps."

As Rain talked about the subject of not returning to the planet for a long period, a clear tension gripped the assembled group. The prospect of venturing into the unknown stirred a mix of worry and apprehension among them. The realization that they might not be around to witness the events unfolding on their home planet brought a sobering sense of responsibility and concern.

In the midst of their shared unease, a subtle murmur of conversations and exchanged glances circulated among the group. The idea of not being present to address potential issues on the planet troubled them. Questions about the consequences of their absence began to surface, ranging from the stability of the territories they had established to the well-being of those left behind.

They were the leaders of their people, after all. Still, staying and waiting wouldn't accomplish anything.

Yet, despite these concerns, the weight of the knowledge they had acquired loomed large. The revelations about the dragon god's ambitions and the impending threat required immediate attention. Rain and his companions recognized that their journey into the uncharted territories was not a choice but a necessity.

The prospect of facing the unknown and potential dangers ahead prompted moments of doubt. However, Rain knew that they needed more people, their unique abilities, and the mana they could offer to stand a chance against the possible incoming threats.

"We should spread the word about that here and down there," Esmeralda said. "While I want to spread a message that will benefit us, I suppose we can't hide anything that is too inconvenient since it might cause problems in the future."

"We don't want revolts to happen after all, when we might encounter enemies at unknown lands," Sealyn said while nodding. "How much time do we have until we take the next step?"

"I need to check thins for a distance and do some math, perhaps two weeks everything will be ready," Rain said.

"We need a more clear amount of time," Sealyn said while raising her eyebrows. "... Can we work with one more week just to be sure?"

"No problem, in three weeks everything will be ready," Rain said.

It seemed that Sealyn ended up regretting a bit assuming that tone to her father, but it couldn't be helped given her position. She was used to assuming that kind of tone, when people looked unsure about that. At the same time, he noticed that she only realized that when she looked at Seara for a moment.

"I will help with the transportation of people while you work on that," Branden said.

"Thanks, that will help," Rain said.

The group dispersed after that, they needed a lot of time to absorb all the information and to prepare for the future… unlike before, they are going on another journey that no one in the past ever did, it was only natural that they needed to ready themselves mentally for it.

Rain wanted to work immediately on finding the next places that they needed to investigate, calculating the traveling time, the mana they would use and the distance all that was necessary and only him and relics could do that… but in the end, Terra and Seara dragged him to their house.

"It is finally time? Don't raise my hopes too much," Rain said.

"We need to talk about all this, you look too unfazed considering everything that you told us," Terra said while showing a confused look on her face. "You aren't the type to show that kind of reaction, but everything have limits."

"Well, I was pretty shocked before, but there is no point in keeping showing that, right?" Rain asked. "Instead of worrying endlessly, we just need to keep doing our best and hope for it as well."

"We know that you are hiding things from everyone and if you think that is for the best, we will believe you," Sears added. "However, if you keep acting like that, it will only make us worry more."

"While that might be true, I am not actually hiding anything that could cause problems to everyone," Rain said. "Believe me, just seeing you all is enough for me to feel much better and ignore the problems. Smelling your napes and bossoms is a huge plus too."

Terra and Seara exchanged a quiet glance, their concern lingering in the air. They found Rain's ability to find solace in their presence and occasional help in fights somewhat perplexing. It seemed almost too simple, too easy. While they didn't wish for Rain to become a constant worrier and a crybaby, they felt that some level of emotional sharing was necessary for a healthy bond.

As they observed Rain's demeanor, they understood that he had his own ways of coping with the weight of the revelations. It was a challenge to fully grasp the complexity of his emotions, but they respected his approach, even if it felt a bit illogical to them. In silence, they silently vowed to continue offering support in the best way they knew how.

After making sure that Terra and Seara were comfortable and had fallen asleep thanks to some headpats, Rain found himself back in the command center of the vessel right below his home. With a deep breath, Rain settled into his seat, ready to delve into the intricate calculations and planning that lay ahead.

The complexities of space travel unfolded before him, revealing a web of factors that required careful consideration. As he delved into the calculations, Rain began with the vessel's current state—its speed, fuel consumption, and overall efficiency. He meticulously analyzed how these variables would evolve as the vessel's size increased and its capabilities expanded. There was more as well…
