Infinite Paths: The Raging Phoenix-Chapter 1140: True power
Rain had to deal with and neutralize the colossal insect before he could divert his attention to helping the others. Naturally, he would only do that in case the others were in trouble, but disobeying orders would only cause more issues for the whole group.
"Sakaki, we need to improve your download speed…" Rain said.
"I wish that it were that easy or even possible," Sakaki said. "I can do a lot of things and improve myself as well, but I have many limits without a proper body. Just relax and trust your friends. If you are that worried, you can always lend your shield and armor to your father-in-law as well.
He is strong and will become even stronger if you let him use the set and you share a bit of your DNA sample with it."
"I wanted to say that I don't want another part of a guy with me, but I guess it would be even more suspicious if I were to ask for his daughter's DNA," Nigel said.
Seadrei didn't want to bring the spear since it didn't belong to him anymore, but Seadrei gave the order, and since she wasn't going to fight until they returned, she had no use for it. If anything, she was very pragmatic and practical with her choices.
Before long, Rain began to hear some loud impacts and tremors around the area… the fight had started, and it looked like things were getting quite intense. After taking a deep breath, Rain ended up summoning a wind blade and cut the palm of his right hand a bit, and then his blood began to fall on it.
The moment his life essence touched the metallic surface, both items began to radiate a soft, ethereal blue light. Unlike the ominous, dark glow associated with the corrupt power of dragons, this glow exuded a sense of warmth and tranquility.
The blue light danced along the edges of the shield and armor, intertwining with the intricate patterns etched into their surfaces. It created an otherworldly aura that seemed to repel the shadows of uncertainty that had lingered moments before. The energy pulsated from Rain's blood, infusing the items with newfound strength and resilience.
It was as though the very essence of Rain's determination and commitment to protecting his comrades had materialized in the form of this enchanting glow. The light emitted a sense of assurance, a promise that whatever challenges lay ahead, they would face it together and emerge stronger.
"Go to Seadrei and help him," Rain said. "If you mess up, you will be stored in a box of manure."
"That is an old threat," Nigel said. "Well, here I come."
The shield and the armor passed through Rain's suit as if it had become intangible for a moment and then flew to the side. That wasn't a power that Nigel didn't have, and Rain didn't have it either… he had some questions to answer later.
"This could also enrage the monsters even more, but I guess it is better than doing nothing," Rain thought.

When Seadrei felt a powerful presence approaching, he was blocking the charge of one of the giant centipedes with his spear. The attack pushed him backward from the sand for hundreds of meters, and that made him raise his guard, but soon he realized that no malice came from it, and soon he felt the presence touching his body.
The air around him seemed to shift, and he felt an overwhelming surge of energy as the full set of armor, shield, and spear converged. The equipment seamlessly connected, resonating with each other in perfect harmony.
The sensation was unlike anything Seadrei had experienced before. A newfound strength passed through his veins, and he felt a surge of confidence that rivaled the vigor of his youth. The armor adorned him like a second skin, the shield felt weightless yet impenetrable, and the spear became an extension of his very being.
The synergy between the enchanted artifacts heightened his senses, making him acutely aware of the battle unfolding around him.
At that moment, Seadrei felt invincible, ready to face any challenge that dared to stand in his way. The rush of power brought back memories of his reckless youth, a time when he reveled in the thrill of combat. However, the recollection was short-lived, replaced by a sense of calm as he remembered the time Rain kicked his ass.
"That is good, old man," Nigel said. "I don't want him blaming me for your mistakes either."
Seadrei furrowed his eyebrows but soon resumed his focus. All of a sudden, he jumped backward before attacking the head of the monster with a powerful swing. In the following moment, a line of blood emerged from the monster's head and moved all the way to one-fifth of the monster's body.
The beast convulsed in pain thanks to the attack, that much damage and all of a sudden was nothing like the beast had suffered thus far. Regardless, even out of the water, Seadrei could show that much power, so he could only wonder how much stronger he would be in the ocean… freewёbnoνel.com
Speaking of the ocean, he had an idea… he looked around and saw the groups fighting in a circle. Soon, he swung his spear around and summoned some massive waves of water that surrounded the group and engulfed the monsters. The warriors stopped fighting thanks to the surprise. Still, soon they saw the giant centipedes trembling and groaning in pain as the water moved super faster.
Before long, the sand turned into mud, and when the monsters tried to dive in to escape, they felt like they had collided with a brick wall. The monster trembled even more, and then everyone began to unleash the power of the lightning gloves…
The combination of that vortex of water and the lightning bolts was insane… the massive monsters were shocked over and over while they received the power of everyone and nonstop.
