As time passed and Rain persisted in his attempts to breach the barrier, a growing sense of concern clouded his mind. Despite his efforts for around ten minutes, the barrier remained as formidable as ever. Its thickness became apparent as he realized he had covered a considerable distance of dozens of kilometers but had barely made a dent in its structure.

However, after roughly fifteen minutes of continued effort, a slight change became noticeable. The barrier, previously repairing itself swiftly, began to show signs of slowing down itself-restoration process, offering a glimmer of hope amidst Rain's persistent struggle.

At first, Rain only saw hard earth on his path, but soon he began to find stones and rocks as well. It seemed that he was getting closer to the surface. Still, soon things got weird.

The underground below the ocean floor was a diverse landscape that held various features and formations. Beneath the water, the Earth's crust continues, consisting of the uppermost solid layer of the planet. It comprises oceanic crust, primarily made of basaltic rock, and continental crust, which consists of lighter granitic rock.

The ocean floor also contains abyssal plains, vast flat expanses covered by fine sediments, and seamounts, underwater mountains that rose steeply from the ocean floor.

Before long, Rain confirmed his suspicions… a torrent of water took over him when he reached the surface and it was rather cold as well. Rain quickly created a wind barrier to protect himself since he was still naked and then he used a bit of hot hair to dry himself while he looked around… he was at the bottom of the ocean considering the rocks and the clarity of the water.

The water wasn't muddy or dusty, but it was still a bit dark around. When Rain looked above, he saw a layer of ice on the surface in the whole area…

"Hmm… that isn't icebergs, I thought that frozen surfaces could only happen like that in lakes," Rain rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

Rain didn't think that he had moved enough to reach the ocean, but considering the ice, it made sense that he was on the southern ocean. So, it seemed that he chose the right direction.

Although Rain didn't recognize the surroundings, he eventually went up and crossed the frozen surface with a punch and soon found himself flying in the middle of a snow storm… he couldn't see land around or anything close to a landmark.

"I need some clothes before I head to the base," Rain thought. "While it snowed on that island, it wasn't this intense… just how far south did I go?"

Rain decided to check the things in the human country… Even if years had passed, he should be able to find some clothes in some villages. The fall of the meteor should have destroyed everything in the central area of the country, but there were plenty of villages that should have escaped the blast.

Rain began to fly North as fast as possible to reach the country, but after several minutes, he couldn't help but frown since he didn't see anything in that direction.

All of a sudden, Rain decided to stop and check if he truly was heading in the right direction… he flew upward and crossed the clouds and then he felt his skin crawling.

"... The clouds are charged with magic power and corrupt energy," Rain thought while furrowing his eyebrows. "The power of the dragons and the sins…"

Rain wasn't taken aback when he discovered that the snowstorm was summoned by the dragons. Having heard of similar tactics from the ice dragons in the past, he was aware of their abilities to manipulate weather. These dragons were familiar with the fact that the sea folk had a deep dislike for such extreme weather conditions, possibly from previous interactions or conflicts.

Hence, it wasn't a shock to Rain that the dragons utilized this method as a strategy.

After a while, Rain crossed the clouds… it seemed that the ice dragons didn't hold back in the use of energy to summon that massive snowstorm… it was fine if they wanted to create an environment that suited them, but they were going pretty damn far… it was as if they wanted to bring another ice age.

"The sun is moving West and down… which means that I am… where the sea folk territory was supposed to be," Rain thought and then sighed. "I was heading in the wrong direction all along…"

Rain wondered for a moment why he didn't feel anything after crossing the clouds… the dragons should have noticed his presence at that moment. Then he recalled that his domain was still active, and it nullified the effects of the system… that was he hadn't been discovered yet."

Rain, becoming increasingly aware of his current state— but naked and flying through the skies in broad daylight—decided it might be prudent to head in the opposite direction.

The realization struck him that soaring in the open, unclothed, might draw some unwanted attention or cause a fair amount of awkwardness, prompting him to change course swiftly… even though the only ones that could find him were dragons wouldn't find him as long as the domain remained active. It was a matter of self-awareness, after all…

Rain flew through the skies for hours, and his anticipation increased as he sought to reach solid ground. As he drew closer to the country below, the shock on his face was unmistakable. What should have been recognizable terrain was now obscured beneath layers upon layers of snow, an extraordinary transformation that had left the landscape unrecognizable.

Descending for a closer inspection, Rain confirmed his suspicions—the thick blankets of snow, reaching an astonishing depth of hundreds of meters, seemed eternal, as if time itself had frozen the land in an unyielding winter embrace.

The once-familiar sights were swallowed by this cold, unforgiving snowscape, a startling revelation that left Rain bewildered by the sheer magnitude of change that had unfolded over the years.

"The ice dragons have been getting carried away, huh?" Rain thought.
