Infinite Paths: The Raging Phoenix-Chapter 937: Here we go again
"Right, some powerful dragons also vanished throughout history and I believe that the same thing is connected," Isa said. "The dragons and the dragon gods only used this planet as training grounds to breed some strong dragons and now they are killing those who they see as too weak."
Isa's unexpected statement reverberated through the assembled group, catching everyone off guard. Her revelation that the strongest species in their world were sending their most skilled warriors away seemed utterly insane and nonsensical.
The notion that the most powerful and dominant species were deliberately sending away their finest warriors appeared contrary to any logical strategy or common sense, especially in a world rife with conflicts and impending danger, baffled everyone.
This seemingly counterintuitive decision raised numerous questions and doubts. Why would the strongest species, known for their power and prowess, choose to dispatch their best warriors? What could possibly drive such a perplexing course of action, especially in a time when their strength might be crucial in facing imminent threats?
"Since you are revealing your bloodline so openly, you must also believe on Dad and thinks that the situation is truly serious," Sealyn said. "Can you convince the demi humans of the danger that we are going to face?"

"No, they will only move when things are too late," Isa shook her head. "Our barrier can't protect us against a world wide climate change and even if we have time to change it, it won't be enough. I suspect that those dragons are in a league of their own if compared to all the others that we saw. Even I probably can't face one of them and win."
As Isa's revelation settled among the group, a heavy and somber atmosphere descended upon the commander's tent. The weight of uncertainty and disbelief gripped everyone present, casting a shadow over their collective thoughts. The troublesome was truly difficult to handle.
The once lively and hopeful discussions turned into a grim and silent contemplation. There was a palpable feeling of helplessness as no one knew quite what to say or do in the face of such unexpected information. The sheer implausibility of the situation left them grappling with the harsh reality that their world was facing dire circumstances beyond their control.
In this moment of darkness and uncertainty, the plan to escape the planet emerged as the most viable option. The prospect of leaving the world behind became more appealing, as insane as it sounded.
"Anyway, we will have to prepare for that and see what will happen," Isa said. "In the meantime, you should work on your plan and try to improve things as much as possible. I take it that you don't know how things will be in the long run, you didn't have time to think about it."
"Right," Rain said after nodding.
For Rain, the idea of leaving their planet behind evoked a sense of unease and discomfort that was difficult to shake off. The notion of abandoning their home, a world he had grown accustomed to despite its perils, felt like an admission of ultimate defeat against the impending threats.
The thought of escaping rather than confronting and overcoming the challenges ahead struck an annoying chord within Rain. As someone who had been reincarnated and had strived to make a difference in this world, the prospect of fleeing felt like a betrayal of the journey and efforts put forth to protect and shape the world's fate.
The idea of fleeing from the impending cataclysm and the possibility of returning to this world in the future only to face similar challenges left him with an unsettling feeling. It seemed contradictory to the very purpose of his reincarnation - to contribute, protect, and potentially alter the course of events for the betterment of this world.
"We didn't even have the time to talk about the things that happened on your end, did you defeat the beast queen on your turn, Annie?" Rain asked when Isa, Sealyn, and Seadrei had left the tent to talk with the demi humans.
"No, but I guess it is fine… not like that accomplishment would have changed anything aside from caressing my ego a bit," Annie replied.
"Shouldn't we focus on the details of the plan?" Terra asked. "Since we can't plan the battle until we know if the demi humans will join us or how many will, we have to see how are we going to escape and how to make sure that the dragons won't chase us."
"The finer details are a bit troublesome, but the other things will be easy," Rain said. "Making a huge piece of land to leave the planet is the real difficult thing, maintaining a barrier that will work like a domain that will mimic the conditions of the world for us won't be that difficult at all."
Rain's explanation revolved around harnessing the inherent energy of magic and converting it into a propulsive force, akin to traditional rocket fuel. His concept aimed to use the vast reserves of magical energy available in their bodies as a means to propel and navigate using a sizeable floating island through the vast emptiness of space.
The central idea was to create a magic-infused barrier around the floating island, manipulating the energies within it to generate thrust and propel the structure through space.
Propulsion in space operates on the principle of Newton's third law of motion: for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. However, in the vacuum of space where there is no air or atmosphere, traditional methods of propulsion, such as those used in vehicles on Earth, don't apply in the same way.
Explaining physics with magic and how it worked on space was a bit difficult… Rain wasn't an expert in the subject after all…
"For your plan to work, you will need the best way possible to harness energy automatically from all the individuals on the place at the same place," The woman in the darkness said.
"... Who does that voice belong to?" Terra asked.
"Here we go again…" Rain said and then sighed.
