Infinite Regeneration In The Apocalypse-Chapter 107: Decent Of The Heavenly Devil!
"KA-BOOOOOM!"
The two attacks collided head-on in a catastrophic explosion of conflicting energies.
The golden dragon fist met the star-like blade energy, and the resulting shockwave was absolutely devastating. The explosion rang out through the entire street with a sound like thunder multiplied a hundred times.
Everything within a twenty-meter radius of the collision point was instantly destroyed. Buildings collapsed, their support structures pulverized. The street pavement was torn up and scattered like loose gravel. Cars were flipped end over end. Even the air itself seemed to burn away temporarily.
Both combatants were sent flying backward from the explosive force.
Xander was blasted approximately fifty meters through the air before he managed to stabilize himself and land in a controlled crouch, his feet skidding across the ground.
Vogue was sent flying even further, traveling roughly seventy meters before his body collided with tremendous force against a building wall. The entire wall shattered against his back on impact, chunks of brick and concrete exploding outward. He crashed through into the building’s interior.
Xander straightened from his crouch and gazed toward where Vogue had been thrown. His expression had returned to its usual indifferent mask, though there was genuine surprise hidden beneath it.
He was actually surprised that Vogue had managed to not only survive that attack but block it effectively enough to create a mutual knockback rather than simply being destroyed.
Xander’s eyes narrowed thoughtfully as he spoke, his voice carrying clearly across the destroyed battlefield.
"The ultimate mastery state of a Sky Grade technique. So that’s how you survived the combination of my talent and combat style. I understand now." He paused, then continued. "But tell me, how long can you continue releasing such powerful attacks? Even with significant energy reserves, techniques of that magnitude drain stamina rapidly. You will eventually become exhausted."
As he spoke, Xander raised his hand and pointed directly at where Vogue was pulling himself from the rubble. His voice took on that commanding tone again.
"Kneel!"
Immense pressure burst outward from Xander’s body like a physical wave. The force pressing down on Vogue suddenly doubled in intensity, becoming twice as crushing as it had been before.
Vogue immediately activated Time Stop as he felt space itself beginning to tighten and constrict around him. It was as though the entire world was listening to Xander’s will and trying to enforce his command. Reality itself seemed to be conspiring to force Vogue into a kneeling position.
But Vogue didn’t hesitate. He layered Time Step on top of Time Stop and moved through the frozen world, dodging away from where the kneeling force was most concentrated.
He appeared directly in front of Xander in the span of a heartbeat and slashed hard with his blade, aiming for a clean decapitation strike.
But Xander was somehow siphoning off Vogue’s enhanced speed even during Time Stop. His Parallel Speed ability was partially functioning despite time being frozen, allowing him to perceive Vogue’s movements.
Xander shifted his body just enough to dodge the blade by a hair’s breadth, then immediately launched a counterattack with his golden-aura-wrapped fist.
Vogue reacted by using his dragon tail in an unexpected move. The tail whipped around and caught Xander completely off guard, slamming hard against his chest with tremendous force. The Divine Son was sent flying backward through the air from the impact.
Vogue didn’t waste the opportunity. He immediately appeared above Xander’s airborne body using his superior speed and brought his blade down in a powerful overhead slash.
Xander could barely react in time. His eyes widened as the blade descended toward his neck. At the absolute last possible moment, he managed to twist his body and shift his neck out of the way.
But the blade still connected with flesh. Instead of slicing through his neck as intended, it carved deep into his shoulder and severed his entire right arm. The limb separated from his body cleanly, tumbling away through the air trailing blood.
"Enough!" Xander roared with genuine fury and pain.
Vogue was suddenly blasted backward by another invisible force, sent tumbling through the air once more. Xander’s defensive abilities had activated automatically to protect him.
The Divine Son immediately levitated upwards anger in his eyes as shame overwhelmed him.
"You forced me to do this!" Xander growled, his voice echoing across the entire battlefield. "I didn’t want to use this technique during the trial, but you’ve left me no choice!"
He raised his remaining hand toward the sky and began channeling an enormous amount of energy. The air around him started to shimmer and distort from the sheer power being gathered. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"Descent of the Seven Divine Devils!"
"Descent of the Seven Divine Devils!"
As Xander shouted the technique’s name, something impossible began happening to his body. The severed arm that had been lying on the ground started dissolving into golden particles that flowed back toward him through the air like iron filings drawn to a magnet. Within seconds, his arm had completely regenerated, growing back perfectly with no sign it had ever been cut off.
But that wasn’t the truly shocking part.
Xander’s entire body began to glow with brilliant golden light that grew so intense it hurt to look at directly. Then, impossibly, his body started splitting apart. Not tearing or breaking, but actually dividing into multiple separate forms like a cell undergoing division.
Golden energy poured out from him in waves as his single form became two, then three, then four. The division continued until there were seven completely separate bodies standing where Xander had been floating moments before.
These weren’t simple copies or illusions. Each one was a fully physical incarnation, standing roughly three meters tall and radiating terrifying power. They looked like demonic warriors made of condensed golden light, their features twisted into expressions of fury and violence. Horns curved from their heads, their eyes blazed with flames, and their bodies were wrapped in crackling energy.
This was a sky grade technique that allowed the user to split their consciousness and power into seven distinct devil incarnations. Each incarnation possessed a different specialty and fought with a unique style:
