Infinity, The Arcade Age-Chapter 296: A Villain’s Threat
Chapter 296 - 296: A Villain’s Threat
In the dark room, Jessica, who had been kidnapped and tied up, curled up in the corner, her face full of fear. Standing in front of her were Qin Ming and Damnd.
Looking at the terrified blonde beauty, Qin Ming raised an eyebrow.
"So, what's next?"
Hearing this, Damnd grinned widely, slapping his chest with confidence.
"This is my specialty. Leave it to me," he said smugly. "We'll use her to threaten the new mayor, make him cooperate with us and stay out of our business. If he listens, we'll return her safely. If he refuses..."
Damnd chuckled darkly, then elbowed Qin Ming playfully, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
"Then we, my brother, are in for a real treat!"
His grin grew sleazy as he gestured toward Jessica.
"This chick's a real beauty! Just look at that body, look at that face! If the mayor refuses to cooperate, and things turn ugly, then I'll personally make sure you get first dibs!"
Damnd's laughter suddenly stopped.
He had just turned his head to size up Qin Ming's massive build, then glanced back at Jessica's delicate frame, and...
His smile faded instantly.
Wait a damn second.
With this guy's size... if he goes first...
Then what the hell will be left for me?!
Why the hell did I just offer that so casually?!
Damnd's face twitched, suddenly regretting his big mouth.
Qin Ming, of course, had no idea what was going on inside Damnd's head.
Hearing the suggestion, Qin Ming merely gave him a disgusted look, his face full of contempt.
Only weaklings need to force themselves on a woman. That's the type of person I despise the most.
This bastard was the very definition of scum—nothing like himself.

Sure, Qin Ming looked intimidating, had a violent temper, was ruthless, and had killed a lot of people—but at least he was a decent man!
After all, every woman he had? He earned them with his own ability!
What? It was all thanks to my titles?
And? Are titles not a part of my ability?!
With his arms crossed, Qin Ming expressionlessly stared at Jessica, who was still looking at him with terror-filled eyes.
Seeing this, Damnd assumed that Qin Ming was hesitating for a different reason.
Lowering his voice, he leaned closer and whispered:
"Brother, listen... This is an order from the boss. Don't mess around. We can't touch her yet—not until we've completely fallen out with the mayor. If you act too soon, we won't be able to negotiate."
Qin Ming rolled his eyes.
"Relax," he said lazily. "I'm not some horny little mutt who jumps on anything that moves."
"Oh, good," Damnd sighed in relief. "Though, technically, we can't touch her, but a little fun is fine, right? Hey, why don't you pull off her coat? We gotta video call the mayor later, y'know? Gotta show him something that'll shake him up a bit. Otherwise, he won't take us seriously."
The moment Damnd said this, Jessica's face turned deathly pale.
She clutched her collar tightly, trembling in fear.
Qin Ming, on the other hand, simply shook his head as he walked toward her.
"Too much trouble," he muttered.
Before Damnd could figure out what he meant, Qin Ming had already reached Jessica, grabbed her, and threw an arm around her shoulder.
With his other hand, he tilted his chin up slightly.
"Just send this image over," he said flatly. "It'll be just as effective as stripping her."
Damnd blinked in confusion, then looked at Qin Ming's massive build—his towering frame, his muscular arms, and that tight red vest exposing his abs and chest.
Then he looked at Jessica, who was now pressed against Qin Ming's side.
The contrast between their sizes was absolutely ridiculous—her small frame looked almost comically tiny next to him.
Suddenly, Damnd's face lit up in realization.
"Ahhh, I get it now! Beauty and the Beast, huh?" he exclaimed. "Damn, this is way scarier than just taking her clothes off!"
Laughing to himself, Damnd quickly grabbed a TV, setting up the video call with the new mayor, Mike Haggar.
As soon as the connection was established, the screen flickered to life—revealing a broad-shouldered, imposing man on the other end.
As the video call connected, Damnd grinned at the burly man on the screen.
"Hey! New Mayor! Busy, huh? Stop what you're doing. We've got something to discuss. You know who I am, right? But do you recognize the person behind me?"
As he spoke, Damnd stepped aside, revealing Jessica and Qin Ming, who was forcefully holding her.
Seeing his daughter on the screen, along with the towering figure next to her wearing a black ski mask, Mayor Mike Haggar's stern expression quickly turned to one of shock and anger.
"Jessica? You bastards... What are you doing to her?!"
"Hahaha! Don't worry, don't worry! The fact that your precious daughter is sitting here unharmed means we haven't done anything to her yet. But if you refuse to cooperate, my buddy here might just have to do something!"
"Keep that bear away from my daughter!"
"Bear? No, no, no, no! He's way tougher than a bear!"
Damnd leaned closer to the screen, his ugly face and rotten teeth on full display as he smirked.
"Mayor, why do you have to make things difficult for us? Why not work together and make some money? Just like the last mayor, we'll give you a cut every month, and you turn a blind eye to our business. Everyone wins, right?"
"I will never bow to a bunch of criminals!"
"Oh? Is that so? Well, if you insist on making things difficult, you might not bow to us, but your daughter might have to bow to my buddy! You've got three days to think it over! After three days, either we work together, or my buddy here becomes your son-in-law!"
With a grin, Damnd cut off the call before the mayor could respond.
On the other end, Mayor Mike Haggar was so furious that he punched the TV, smashing it to pieces.
He stood up, tearing off his suit to reveal his muscular physique.
Looking like a bodybuilder, Haggar's veins bulged on his forehead.
"Those bastards! How dare they! Is there no law anymore?!"
Slamming his fist on the table, Haggar took a deep breath to calm himself, then spoke.
"It seems you were right. The Mad Gear Gang really is planning to use my daughter to threaten me. I should've prepared earlier. I never expected they'd be so lawless as to target a government official's family!"
Hearing this, the four adventurers standing nearby quickly exchanged glances, their expressions strange.
"Mayor, don't worry. With us here, we'll definitely rescue your daughter. We can't stand people who defy the law like this!"
Although they said this, the four intermediate adventurers, who had managed to get close to the mayor under the guise of helping, were now utterly confused.
Hiss! Wait, this isn't right! Where's the fan service? Where's the photoshoot? Why isn't it happening?
And who's that masked muscle man on the TV? Was there ever such a character in the original story?
Good grief! With that kind of build, did he come straight out of some adult anime? We've never heard of any dark, forbidden subplots in the Final Fight world!
The four adventurers, who had been confident in their plan to rescue Jessica and gain the trust of the main trio, now felt their confidence wavering.
It wasn't that they were afraid of losing a fight—it was more that they feared the kidnappers might act too quickly, ruining their rescue target before they could even get to her.
