From the information, Michael could infer that there was a guy that liked Carol, and was actually pursuing her. Unfortunately for him, Carol had no interest in him.

On the other hand, Brenda was head over heels for this man. Unfortunately, the guy did not even pay attention to her, which was something that made Brenda furious.

But since she could not deal with the man, especially since she had feelings for him, she decided to vent all her frustrations on Carol.

The two of them were from the same entertainment company called Star Media. And Brenda’s family was from Banta city, where star media was located, with her family having a net worth of $27 billion.

They had quite an influence within the city, and were part of the shareholders of Star media.

As a result, using the influence that her family had within the company, Brenda had continuously suppressed Carol, which was actually one of the main reasons why despite years of effort, Carol had not been able to make it big.

It was to the extent that she had to go to some other provinces in order to perform, just in order to be able to get a bit more money. After all, for a musician, despite music bringing in money, it still needed one to spend in order to be able to grow.

While both the family and Vanguard Corporation were valued at tens of billions of dollars, there was a great gap between them.

This was one of the solution that Michael had thought of. He thought, he would just use the influence of Vanguard corporation in order to be able to deal with Banta family.

Of course, he had no any intention of destroying this entire family. Instead, he just thought that he would intimidate them, to make sure that they would not continue targeting Carol.

Regarding this, Michael had no any intention of wasting SP in order to be able to acquire the shares. As for the shares that he was targeting, they were the shares that were held by Kupa family.

Michael believed that, combining the acquisition of the shares and the intimidation from Vanguard Corporation, it should be enough to be able to deal with Carol’s issue, right?

As he thought of that, Michael immediately made a call, informing Dwayne about this issue. For the time being, Michael had not yet assigned Adrian to deal with the issue regarding Vanguard Corporation, considering that he was currently busy with Sky Technologies.

Michael informed Dwayne about what he wanted, including the details of both Carol and Brenda, telling Dwayne to take care of the issue.

Dwayne assured Michael that this was quite simple for him to be able to do, and he should just wait for results.

Inside a three star hotel, in one of the VIP rooms, Carol had just finished taking a shower.

A towel wrapped securely around her, the fabric still darkened by moisture. Her long auburn hair spilled down her back in damp waves, a few strands clinging to her shoulders and collarbone.

Her skin held a soft sheen from the steam, slightly flushed, as if warmed from within.

As she was preparing to take the blow dryer to blow her hair, the door of the room was suddenly opened. Carol was settled that she nearly dropped the blow dryer that she had just began picking up, as she gazed at the door.

When she saw who it was that was coming in, she could not help but say in a resentful voice, "Doreen, can you at least knock before you enter? Otherwise, you might end up startling me to the extent that I would pass out or even die from a heart attack."

"Why are you exaggerating things? Anyway, there is big news." Doreen simply waved at Carol as she gazed at her with her dark green eyes filled with excitement.

"Huh? What big news are you talking about? Don’t tell me, has she already made her move?" Carol’s expression shifted slightly as she asked.

The thing that she was most afraid about at the moment was regarding the issue with the concert. She had made quite a lot of preparations, and was intent on performing this time.

But, the issue regarding Brenda was something that made her quite nervous. She was from an ordinary background, and was also from Banta city.

Unfortunately, unless she was willing to succumb to those unspoken rules, it was impossible for her to be able to easily make it in the entertainment industry.

Still, she had already struggled for quite a while now, and she could see success coming. Even though she was not receiving much resources from the company, she believed that as long as she showed her value, the company would definitely give her some resources.

With the improvements that she had gotten ever since Adrian began training her, she believed that she could amaze her audience, and this time, not just with her voice.

"Are you joking? By the way, did you not tell me that you were asking that kid from before for help? I never thought that he had such a background.

It seems that you already knew about his background, which was why you were even willing to be his girlfriend? And, you even lingered in Brenton City for quite a while, which is uncharacteristic of you." Doreen shook her head as she spoke.

On the other hand, Carol was left puzzled as she asked, "What are you talking about? I don’t understand anything that you are saying."
