Abel felt immense relief when he realized that the one calling was his daughter. Still, he had some worries. If something had happened to Marion, and she had been kidnapped, the kidnappers could as well use Marion’s phone to call.

That was a low probability, considering that most of the times, they used anonymous calls in order to inform those that needed to know about the kidnapping incidence.

Regardless, he watched as his wife went ahead and received the call, before she put the call on loud speaker.

"Hello, Marion, is that you?" Anna immediately spoke the moment that she received the call.

"Yes, mom it’s me." Marion’s voice came through the phone’s speaker.

Hearing her speaking, the two immediately felt relieved. All the tension that had been building up within them was finally released.

From the way that Marion was speaking, it was clear that she was okay. Since that was the case, at least, they did not need to be too much worried for now.

"Tell me, where are you, and how are you doing right now? Did anything happen?" Anna immediately asked, impatient to understand the current situation that Marion was in.

On the other hand, Marion took a deep breath before she replied, "Mom, I was almost caught. The two of them were killed."

The moment that she said those words, silence descended within the living room of the villa. The two were tremendously shocked, as neither of them had expected something like this.

They had initially thought, even if Marion was kidnapped, it would not lead to anyone’s death. At least, that was until the Wilson family had agreed to the collaboration with the Laito family.

Even though Marion had not said who exactly had died, the two of them immediately knew. After all, she had left with her two bodyguards, the ones that they had assigned to protect her for several years now.

At this moment, the tension that had disappeared gathered once again. At this moment, the couple was extremely nervous, wanting to understand what happened.

"Sweetie, are you all right?" Anna asked with a cracked voice.

"Yes, I was lucky, I was saved by someone. Currently, I’m in his house, I will come back in a few days." Marion replied.

The two of them once again felt relieved. Even though they were sad with the death of the two bodyguards, considering that they were familiar with them, they felt relieved that Marion was not harmed.

The moment that she said those words, both Anna and Abel were completely shocked. They understood the implications of the words that Marion had said.

If this person had a relation with Cynthia, was it possible that he was Zachary, the one who had eloped with her? That was the only possibility that they could think of.

When she said those words, there was an extended moment of silence. And, Marion could not see the expressions of her parents, but she could already guess just based on the silence.

Both of her parents knew Cynthia, at least they knew her much better than she did. And, Marion knew the fact that her father was so dotting towards Cynthia.

Occasionally, he would mention her, claiming that it would be very good if she had been around. At least, they could be together, share good moments as family.

From this, she could already tell how much Abel loved his sister. This was something that she had seen even during the time that she was still young.

For almost a minute, nobody spoke, as both Abel and Anna tried to process the information.

Not knowing where Cynthia was, was extremely different from knowing that she was dead. At least, not knowing her whereabouts presented a possibility of meeting again.

But knowing that she died, and not recently, but several years ago, was there even any hope there? Only despair remained.

Finally, after a while, Abel managed to regain his bearing, before he asked in a low voice, "Tell me, is the person who saved you Zachary? From what I know, he definitely has the ability to do that.

Is he close by? If he is, I would like you to give him the phone, so that I can talk to him directly. I want to understand something from him."
