Information to Mastery: Points Store System-Chapter 244: Mike’s Decision, Abel
Upon hearing Michael’s question, Marion subconsciously nodded her head, before she quickly shook her head once again.
At this moment, she was not sure if she was supposed to admit what she was thinking, or not. Even though she was surprised by the fact that Michael was able to tell what she was thinking, she was more focused on his reaction.
If he felt that she minded the fact that he was a Santos, and decided not to help, what would happen? After all, even though he was the son of Cynthia Wilson, he took the Santos family’s surname.
Until now, with the two families never getting involved with the other’s affairs, it was better to maintain it this way, than to create an enmity.
Michael on the other hand did not think much as Marion was thinking. Instead, he just said, "You don’t need to worry about this. Anyway, I will help you out once or twice. But, you cannot expect me to help you all the time.
So, this is the first time that I’m helping out. Perhaps, I might only help out two more times apart from this."
Even though it was true that his mother came from the Wilson family, they were against the marriage between her and Zachary.
If the two of them had not come together, how could Michael exist? The only reason why he was helping out right now was because they had treated his mother well when she was there.
But of course, there was a limit. He was not willing to have them continuously seek help from him for every problem that they have.
For some of the problems, they would need to solve them by themselves. Only when they faced a situation that they could not deal with, that they could involve him.
But of course, after helping out three times, he had no any intention of helping out any longer. They would have to depend on themselves from then on.
Marion’s heart could not help but shake slightly when she heard those words. Still, she nodded.
She thought, ever since Cynthia had left the Wilson family, they had never helped out. They did not know where Cynthia was, so inevitably, they did not offer any assistance.
In fact, she thought, if her grandparents had known where Cynthia was, they would have undoubtedly tried to bring her back to the Wilson family. As for Zachary, they might have tried to break the two of them apart.
Michael’s growth to this level had nothing to do with the Wilson family. So, just from the fact that he was willing to help out three times, it was more than enough. Hence, instead of feeling dissatisfied, Marion felt grateful.
"Thank you. I’m not really sure what I can use to repay this, but in case you need anything, as long as I can do it, I will not hesitate." After a moment of silence, Marion finally spoke.
She was not really sure how to thank Michael for this. If it came to connections, it was clear that Michael had better connections than the Wilson family.
As for the wealth, with the connections that he had, would he even lack wealth? It was clear, his wealth was way above that of the Wilson family.
Therefore, there really wasn’t anything that she could do to show her gratefulness to Michael. In the end, she could only make this promise.
To this, Michael simply waved his hand dismissively. There really wasn’t any need for the Wilson family to do anything to help him out.
With the presence of the system, and the bio humans that he had already purchased, it was only a matter of time before he became the richest person in the world.
As for the connections, that was not much of a problem to handle. Just buy a few companies, and he could get the connections that the companies had initially.
That was especially if the system could grant him the shares of companies in the same way that it did with Vanguard corporation.
With Vanguard corporation’s former major shareholder, Dwayne, being in charge of the company, it operated without much of a problem.
There wasn’t much to change, considering that Dwayne himself had been managing the company quite well. So, most of the things that had changed within the company were related to the plans that Michael had made.
"Okay, just select a room upstairs that you would like to stay in for the time being. After the issues resolved, you can decide to go back home." Michael spoke, before he went back to his bedroom.
As for Marion, she remained seated in the living room for quite a while. Then, she thought of something, before she quickly took out her phone and decided to make a call.
In just a few rings, the call connected.
...
A villa stood in the heart of the Dula district, a serene residential district with tree-lined avenues and guarded entrances. It was a fully detached family home, set back from the road behind a low stone wall draped in flowering bougainvillea.
A smooth cobblestone driveway curved gently toward a shaded carport, while tall palm trees framed the entrance like silent sentinels.
The exterior blended warm cream stucco with dark wooden accents and wide glass windows that caught the afternoon light. A tiled, terracotta roof crowned the structure, giving it a timeless Mediterranean charm.
Behind the house, a garden stretched out trimmed hedges, with a small fountain at its center, and enough lawn for children to run freely.
Inside the living room of the villa, there was a lady with her long green hair let loose, while her gray eyes were filled with worry.
From time to time, she looked at her phone, as though she was expecting something. But as time moved on, she did not get what she was expecting.
This only increased her worry, as she stood up, before she began pacing around in the room.
At this moment, she heard the sound of footsteps coming from the stairs. Looking over, she saw a man with short blonde hair, Amber eyes and a mustache, walking down the stairs.
The man was short, about 168 cm, but with a slightly muscular build.
And as he saw the lady pacing around in the living room, he let out a helpless sigh.
He approached her, and the lady collapsed into his arms, as she began to sob. The man on the other hand could only caress her back, as he tried to calm her down.
About a minute later, the lady seemed to have calmed down as she asked, "Honey, have you gotten any news? Could it be that she is in trouble?"
The man shook his head at his wife’s inquiry. He could understand the worry that she was having. After all, it had already been several days since their daughter left home.
When she left, they were in the know. It was just that, they did not know where exactly she had gone to.
This was something that they did because they wanted to make sure that a plan that they had would succeed.
But, for 2 days now, they had not communicated with each other. This was something that left them worried.
Just a few minutes ago, Abel, Marion’s father and the late Cynthia’s older brother, had been using all the connections that he had to see if he could find Marion.
But for some reason, every attempt was thwarted for various reasons. This pointed towards the possibility that it might be the work of their enemy, trying to make sure that they could not reach her.
This made him think of a probability, which was, maybe Marion had already been kidnapped? If she really had, then they would not have any other choice in this situation but to cooperate and do as the other wanted.
"No, not for now. But, I’m pretty sure that she will call us in a little while. Maybe she is currently busy, which is why she hasn’t called." Abel responded to his wife’s inquiry, as he tried to comfort her.
"Please, don’t try to give me any false hope. Should we just agree to what they want? If they take the wealth that the Wilson family has, we can still start over.
But if something happens to our daughter, I don’t think that I can continue living. No matter what, the safety of our child is much more important." Anna, Marion’s mother said with a shaky voice.
She understood just how difficult it was for the Wilson family to be able to get to this level. But, at the moment, they really did not have many options.
So, if it came to a situation where they needed to choose between the Wilson family and their daughter, she would rather have their daughter. At least, with the family continuing to exist, they could still build something. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
Abel was silent for a moment upon hearing his wife’s words. At the same time, in his mind, he thought, building something new? That was an impossibility.
From his understanding of the Laito family, the moment that the Wilson family gave in, that would be the time for their destruction.
It was impossible for the Laito family to let them be. After all, just the existence of the Wilson family, even if it had been destroyed, would pose a threat, no matter how small.
As he understood that family, they were extremely ruthless. They would rather kill the wrong person, instead of sparing their enemy or a possible threat.
But of course, despite what he was thinking, he did not say that out loud. He was afraid that his wife would break down.
Still, as he was still thinking of a suitable response to give, a phone’s ringtone brought him back to his senses.
"It is Marion! She is finally calling!" At this moment, his wife broke away from him, as she looked at her phone, before she exclaimed with surprise and excitement.
