Inheriting a Lost Bloodline, My First Task is to have heirs?!-Chapter 389 - Living Arrangements (Part 1)
Chapter 389: Chapter 389 - Living Arrangements (Part 1)
After Claude passed out, I carried him to the bath and gave him a thorough wash. He was practically drenched in sweat, tears, a bit of pee and even saliva from being pleasured too much that he lost control of his body. I even thought that if we continued, he would have gone insane.
After washing him up, I started healing all the wounds and scars on his body. These were not of my doing but from all the nights he had to serve other people before. I want to erase all the physical proof of their cruelty on him. Although I did not do the deed with him, he is as good as mine now.
Once I have dressed him up, I carried him out of his room. I told the receptionist that I will be taking him away to sleep in the inn where I am staying. It was not supposed to be allowed but I guess they misunderstood all those lewd sounds coming from our room. I did not have any difficulties bringing him away.
I excused myself for a bit and instead of coming out the main door of Bloom, I teleported together with Claude to my room at the inn. I laid him gently on the bed and covered him with the sheets. I placed a kiss on his forehead to deepen his sleep.
I sneakily went out of the inn and went to the count’s residence to use my other identity to make it easier for me to achieve what I am planning to do. When the guards saw me arrive, they immediately opened the gates and called the count and countess to meet me.
During our conversation, I asked for a few things like land that I can buy and that it would be great if it was spacious enough to accommodate farming as well. I also asked for help to look for workers that can build a house based on my preferences on that piece of land. Lastly, I want both properties to be placed under a different name which surprised the couple a lot. I simply told them that it was my man that I met serendipitously here in Bragen.
The noble couple nodded in understanding with a knowing smile on their faces. They immediately called for their attendant to look into pieces of unowned land that match my requirements. It did not even take half an hour before the attendant is back with what looks like a book.
The attendant urgently explained to me the places which he believes will satisfy my wishes. He gave me a total of seven options that totally shows how diligent he was in completing the task that was given to him.
Out of all those options, I chose a spacious lot next to the river, thinking that it would be nice to have a pond with edible fish. The space could also accommodate a few fruit bearing trees, some domesticated animals and maybe a few plots that can be used as vegetable patches. It was simple suburban living with everything at your fingertips. If my cute man doesn’t like farming, he can just hire people who are willing to do it for him.
As for the house, the final plan would still be pending since it may need the opinion of the future house owner himself. Speaking of the house owner, I have to go back to the inn since it won’t be good if he wakes up all alone in an unfamiliar place. I have to be there to explain things because he will surely have some questions.
I asked permission to use magic in the count’s property which they readily allowed. I thanked them and teleported inside my room at the inn. I hurriedly changed my clothes to that of what someone uses for sleeping, buried myself under the sheets and conveniently hugged the guy.
Eventually, I fell asleep too in the warmth of hugging somebody on the bed. After what seems to be an hour, I felt the guy in my arms shiver uncontrollably which confused me. I slowly opened my eyes to see what’s up and I saw him teary-eyed, staring at me as if waiting for me to wake up.
I looked at him curiously and hugged him tighter, burying my face on his neck for a sniff. Claude stiffened and finally couldn’t help but ask, "Where am I? What happened after I passed out?"
I smiled at him in amusement and teasingly said, "Do I have to answer that question?" He grumpily replied, "Of course, you should! Ruthless, perverted woman!"
I chuckled as my eyes started to have that mischievous glint in it. Seeing that familiar look in my eyes, Claude tried to scramble away from me but would I even let him go now that he is in my room?
I teasingly asked him, "Where are you trying to go? Don’t you want the answers to your questions anymore?"
Claude nervously answered, "I- I- I’m fine. You don’t need to... You don’t have to answer. I- I’m going home. I-"
I answered him in a jolly tone, "But you are home. This is the inn that I am staying in right now. If you don’t like it, I will build you another one. What kind of house do you like anyways?"
He looked stunned for some reason. I do not know if it was because I brought him home or because I promised to buy him a house based on his preferences. After looking stunned for several seconds, his face suddenly scrunch up as tears started flowing down his cheeks.
He suddenly said in between sobs and sniffs, "Don’t lead me on. If you buy me a house and let me live there, that is as good as taking me in. I will never let you off. You can never get rid of me after."
I hugged the crying Claude and replied in a soothing manner, "Yes. Yes. The house will be yours. I will take you in and you are mine for life if that is what you want so stop crying already. Do you like taking care of animals or plants?"
After hearing what I got to say, he calmed down a bit and stopped crying. In between sniffs, he answered, "Do you mean like a farmer? That would be nice but land is expensive. Seeds are expensive. I don’t mind all the hard work it entails though. That’s food and planting some for yourself means you won’t go hungry, right?"
