Invincible Divine Doctor of the Beautiful Lady-Chapter 98 - 96: Sleeping on the Sofa
Chapter 98: Chapter 96: Sleeping on the Sofa
"Mm, good brother, your century egg and lean pork congee is really delicious. It’s fragrant and smooth, melting in the mouth. I can’t help it, I need another bowl—it’s just too tasty, truly top-notch," Zhao Yaya praised as she swiftly devoured a bowl of the congee, gobbling it down. Tangyu had cooked plenty, so he served her another bowl: "Eat more if you like it. You drank so much last night without eating much, you must be starving. There’s still a lot left here."
"Heehee, good brother really knows how to take care of someone, you’re so considerate," Zhao Yaya said.
Lin Feifei also stole several secret glances at Tangyu, and she had to admit the century egg and lean pork congee was incredibly tasty. If it weren’t for the need to maintain some semblance of decorum, she’d want to eat as heartily as Zhao Yaya.
She hadn’t expected Tangyu’s breakfast to be this delicious. It was much better than the breakfasts she’d had before. Moreover, it was simple and economical. Eating congee in the morning was good for the body.
Guo Momo looked at Tangyu and said, "Tangyu, it seems like your cooking skills might just be better than mine. I’ve made century egg and lean pork congee too, but mine isn’t as fragrant and smooth as yours. It looks like we used the same ingredients, so you must have some tips that are better than mine. I’ve actually liked cooking since I was young, and I don’t really enjoy eating out. I prefer my own cooking."
"Hehe, thanks for the compliment. I’m just okay at making congee, but I might not be as good at cooking other dishes," Tangyu responded, feeling quite flattered by the beautiful girl’s praise.
Zhao Yaya put down her bowl, licked her lips, and flashed a smile at Guo Momo, "Sister Momo, the congee you make is also tasty enough, at least a bit better than what my school serves."
Guo Momo laughed and shook her head, slightly chiding, "We haven’t even finished one bowl and you’re already done with two. Why eat so fast? No one’s competing with you."
"Huff huff, Sister Momo, you can’t blame me for this. It’s just because this century egg and lean pork congee is too delicious. I even want another bowl," Zhao Yaya complained.
"No more for you, two bowls is enough. Eating more will just be too much for your digestion, and I don’t want you turning into a chubby girl," Guo Momo warned.
Zhao Yaya pouted before she said, "Fine then, for the sake of my pretty figure, I’ll stop eating."
Tangyu let out a silent chuckle, thinking that having a special skill really was an asset when wooing girls. His century egg and lean pork congee could certainly be considered a unique specialty; any beauty who tried it would endlessly sing its praises and shower him with compliments.
"By the way, good brother, I seem to remember that we all got drunk and passed out last night, right? So how come I woke up in bed? How did we get onto the beds? I can’t remember a thing," Zhao Yaya suddenly asked.
When Zhao Yaya asked this question, both Guo Momo and Lin Feifei blushed, obviously knowing what had happened. All three had been drunk, so naturally, it was Tangyu who had carried them to bed.
Initially, they were pretending as if nothing happened—after all, they were drunk, so it wasn’t as if they could have just slept on the dining table all night. It was an awkward situation best left unspoken, so everyone could act as if nothing had occurred. But Zhao Yaya’s question had inadvertently brought up the embarrassing topic.
Guo Momo lightly kicked Zhao Yaya and gave her a warning glance. Zhao Yaya, looking utterly confused and innocent, turned to her.
Seeing Guo Momo and Lin Feifei’s shy demeanors, Tangyu knew they must be thinking that he had carried them to bed. They clearly felt uncomfortable about it, and might even be overthinking the situation.
"Ah, now I remember, good brother! I have this tiny memory of someone carrying me up. It must have been you who carried me to bed, right?" Zhao Yaya guessed.
Tangyu didn’t want to admit it initially, but with Zhao Yaya pointing it out so directly, he had no choice but to acknowledge it.
"Heehee, I’m so smart; I guessed it so quickly. Don’t feel embarrassed, good brother, I’m not shy at all. I’m still a kid, no big deal," Zhao Yaya said with a laugh.
Tangyu also smiled, but thought to himself: It’s not you or me who should be embarrassed; it’s Guo Momo and Lin Feifei. He looked at the two women and noticed their heads were lowered as they ate their congee, pretending not to have heard anything. The way they blushed was quite adorable. It made Tangyu recall some of the ripples from last night and wonder when such happiness could truly be realized.
"Ah, good brother, did you also carry Sister Momo and Sister Feifei to bed?" Zhao Yaya suddenly exclaimed.
Guo Momo and Lin Feifei, who were eating their congee, almost choked simultaneously at her words. Guo Momo couldn’t help but kick Zhao Yaya again and shoot her a glare to tell her to keep quiet. Yet Zhao Yaya looked innocently at Guo Momo and asked, "Sister Momo, why do you keep kicking me?"
Having this already embarrassing issue brought up was enough to make Guo Momo feel extremely awkward.
"Stop talking and eat," Guo Momo ordered.
"But but, I’ve already finished eating. Are we not allowed to talk either?" Zhao Yaya complained with innocent bewilderment.
"..."
Zhao Yaya looked at Guo Momo and Lin Feifei, then at Zhao Ya, and finally nodded comprehendingly, "Okay, I get it. I’ll stop talking."
"Ah—"
However, Zhao Yaya couldn’t stay quiet for long; she let out another scream and stared wide-eyed.
"What’s the matter with you now?" Guo Momo said with annoyance.
Zhao Yaya looked at Guo Momo and said, "Momo, I just thought of another question, a very serious one. No, no, I can’t hold it in anymore. I just want to ask Good Guy Bro where he slept last night?"
As she spoke, Zhao Yaya’s big eyes were also fixed on Tangyu. This question also made Guo Momo and Lin Feifei pause for a moment and turn their gaze towards Tangyu. They hadn’t really thought about this because they hadn’t seen Tangyu when they woke up, and nothing seemed amiss.
However, hearing Zhao Yaya mention it, Guo Momo also tried hard to recall and seemed to vaguely remember that indeed she had embraced someone to sleep last night.
A flurry of thoughts quickly passed through Lin Feifei’s mind. She felt very comfortable, which made her very certain that Tangyu must have slept with her last night; otherwise, she would have felt uncomfortable.
Thinking about it, she had a vague impression that she indeed embraced something while sleeping last night. Could it be that she had embraced Tangyu? At this thought, Lin Feifei’s face flushed with a few shades of red, and she lowered her head. Then another question occurred to her: if Tangyu had slept with her, then didn’t it mean he had shared a bed with the three of them last night? Contemplating this, Lin Feifei’s face turned a shade paler.
Even if Tangyu hadn’t done anything last night, if Momo found out about this, who knows what might happen.
Tangyu’s expression also darkened as he took in the changes in Guo Momo’s and Lin Feifei’s expressions, "Ahem, I slept on the couch last night."
"Oh, that must have been tough on you, Good Guy Bro," Zhao Yaya didn’t doubt his words at all.
"Ahem, not tough at all," Tangyu, however, felt somewhat guilty.
"Feifei, are you okay?" Guo Momo asked with concern.
Lin Feifei bit her lower lip and shook her head, "I’m fine." Her mind was a bit chaotic, but she knew she couldn’t talk about this, or Tangyu might get into trouble. After all, such a matter could be blown out of proportion, and she had no idea what Momo’s attitude would be.
Lin Feifei suddenly realized that she seemed to care about Tangyu. She was indeed feeling a bit confused and wasn’t sure what to do for a moment.
Glimmers of unusual emotions flashed in Guo Momo’s eyes, but she didn’t say more. The table’s atmosphere turned a bit oppressive due to Zhao Yaya’s disruption, and everyone silently finished their breakfast.
"Momo, let’s go have some fun, shall we? Didn’t you say there was some kind of grand finale for a campus singer competition at your school this morning? We’re bored anyway, so why not go check it out?" Zhao Yaya suggested.
After a moment of thought, Guo Momo nodded, "Alright then, it’s the weekend, and you should be let out for some fun; otherwise, you can’t be contained at home anyway. Okay, let’s go upstairs to grab some stuff." The two quickly went upstairs, and after they left, Lin Feifei gave Tangyu a cold stare and said, "Come out with me for a moment."
Tangyu pursed his lips, knowing that Lin Feifei must have realized that she had embraced him in her sleep last night, and that the issue would eventually need to be addressed. He stood up and followed her out, going directly outside the villa.
"What did you do to me last night?" Lin Feifei asked directly.
"What do you think I did to you last night?" Tangyu replied.
Lin Feifei was startled for a moment; her clothes were intact, and indeed she had not been violated in any way.
"Even if you didn’t do anything, you definitely held me in your sleep last night. And why did you have to sleep in Momo’s room? You ended up sleeping with all three of us last night, do you realize how serious that is?" Lin Feifei said with an annoyed look.
Tangyu felt somewhat guilty inside. No matter what, he had taken advantage of the three of them, although involuntary; one must never argue with women as a man—it’s an unequal match.
"I did sleep with you guys last night, but I swear I didn’t do anything. Also—last night when I put you in bed, you clung to me for dear life, wrapping your legs around my waist and not letting me leave, so I had no choice but to hug you and sleep. Plus, if I didn’t share the bed with you last night, your body would have definitely had some serious issues," Tangyu explained.
Lin Feifei was suddenly silent. She did have some faint memories of last night, and it seemed to be as Tangyu said. Her face turned crimson.
"Even so—didn’t you know to put me to sleep in the guest room?" Lin Feifei asked.
"Please, if I could have slept in the guest room, why would I need to do that? The guest room door was locked; what could I do?" Tangyu retorted.
That’s when Lin Feifei felt relieved. After some thought, she bit her lip and said, "Fine, let’s drop this subject. But this stays between you and me, don’t blabber about it in front of Momo or Yaya. Otherwise, whatever the consequences, it’s not my problem."
"Fine," Tangyu murmured.
"Come on, they’re coming out, let’s go," said Lin Feifei, regaining her composure.
