Invincible Snake Emperor-Chapter 100 - 99: Family Extermination
On a bustling pedestrian street, a shifty-looking young man with a cigarette dangling from his lips was ogling the graceful figures of the various beautiful women passing by.
Suddenly, the young man casually glanced up at the sky and was instantly dumbstruck.
’What did I just see? Holy hell, it looks like a snake is flying in the sky.’
He rubbed his eyes, suspecting he’d seen it wrong, and stared intently to get a better look.
’Holy shit, I must be seeing ghosts in broad daylight. It really is a snake flying in the sky! This scene was just utterly unbelievable.’
His eyes nearly popped out of his head. He only snapped out of his stupor when the lit end of the cigarette hanging from his lips burned him.
Just then, a beautiful woman walked past him, and he immediately shouted out, "Hey, Miss! Look, there’s a snake flying in the sky!"
A faint, cold smile crossed the beautiful woman’s face, and she shot him an annoyed glare. "Is that really the lame pickup line you use on girls? How pathetic."
The man grew anxious and pointed at the sky. "I’m telling the truth! Just look up!"
The woman sneered. "If I actually looked up, I’d be falling right into your trap, wouldn’t I?"
"If you’d said a cow was flying, I might have actually believed you."
The young man asked, confused, "Why?"
"Because you’re down here blowing so much hot air. Hehe..."
She left behind a faint fragrance and a massive eye-roll as she turned and walked away.
’Has it really gotten to the point where no one believes you when you tell the truth?’ the young man thought.
He took out his phone, deciding to film what he was seeing. But when he looked up again, the flying snake was gone. He was so frustrated he could have coughed up blood.
...........
Tu Xiao’an flew far from the bustling City. For a Snake, the more crowded a place was with people, the farther away it had to stay.
This was his greatest sorrow.
He flew toward the mountains. Once inside, he would be like a dragon returning to the sea, full of new life.
Hunger. He grew hungrier and hungrier. It felt as if a Blazing Fire was burning inside his stomach. It was the Giant Snake Gene, wreaking havoc inside Tu Xiao’an, draining his very last shred of strength.
The mountains were right ahead. They were so close, yet Tu Xiao’an felt a sense of despair, as if they were impossibly far. He no longer even had the strength to control his Consciousness Power.
WHOOSH...
The Silver White Snake plummeted from the sky, crashing hard onto the Land below.
After a long moment, Tu Xiao’an lay ramrod straight, imprinted on a patch of muddy ground, his vacant gaze fixed on the azure sky.
’Could it be? Was he, a Snake, really going to starve to death?’
Tu Xiao’an’s Snake Gaze was vacant, yet it glinted with a baleful green light. He felt so hungry right now that a whole elephant wouldn’t be enough to satisfy him.
"CHIRP... CHIRP..."
As the saying goes, heaven never completely seals a Snake’s path. At first, Tu Xiao’an thought he was hallucinating. A tiny chick, looking like it had hatched only recently, was trotting over on its delicate little claws, curiously staring at the Snake that had fallen from the sky.
Like a newborn calf that doesn’t fear a tiger, the little chick was full of curiosity. It wanted to see if this Snake was dead. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
But curiosity has a way of being fatal.
A glint flashed in Tu Xiao’an’s Snake Gaze. He barely seemed to move, and the naive, innocent little chick was gone.
’Haha... Finally, I taste the pleasure of eating again.’
Once swallowed, the little chick was instantly and completely consumed.
Hungry, hungry, hungry! To Tu Xiao’an, swallowing one little chick felt no different from swallowing nothing at all.
It was then that he discovered, to his delight, that he had fallen into a chicken coop in a farmer’s backyard.
The coop housed a rooster and hen pair. Not long ago, they had hatched over a dozen chicks and were, for the time being, living a happy life.
But a Snake falling from the sky shattered their happy and peaceful life.
Tu Xiao’an looked over and saw more than a dozen chicks staring at him in fear. They had just witnessed one of their own siblings being swallowed by this very Snake.
In an instant, the green light in his Snake Gaze intensified. Tu Xiao’an completely lost his sanity, charging into the flock of chicks and frantically Devouring them one by one.
One chick per gulp, he feasted with relish.
’This feeling... it’s so satisfying, so blissful.’
With each act of Devouring, every cell in his body seemed to cheer. A scorching hot Energy surged wildly within him, and he could feel his body undergoing an unprecedented transformation.
’This must be the effect of the Giant Snake Gene.’
Delicious, so delicious. To the starving Tu Xiao’an, these newly hatched chicks were the most wonderful delicacy in the world.
"SQUAWK!"
As the ferocious Silver White Snake was Devouring the chicks, a loud squawk pierced the air. The rooster and hen charged out of the coop, their eyes red with fury. Wielding their sharp beaks, they pecked frantically at the Silver White Snake’s Scales, striking dozens of times per second.
They were trying to stop the Silver White Snake from eating their children.
So fast. It was too fast. The pecking chicken heads were a blur, like phantoms striking Tu Xiao’an’s body.
An ordinary venomous snake would have been pecked full of holes by the furious pair, but Tu Xiao’an’s Snake Scales were incredibly hard, practically impenetrable.
Although the rooster and hen’s beaks were sharp, they couldn’t injure him.
’They’re a little big,’ he thought, sizing up the chicken couple. ’Hard to swallow. I’ll finish off the chicks first.’
"SQUAWK... SQUAWK..."
The chicken couple shrieked as they pecked, watching as their children were mercilessly swallowed, one by one, by this damn Snake.
What was most infuriating was that even after swallowing all those chicks, the Snake’s belly remained completely flat. It hadn’t bulged in the slightest.
It was as if they had been eaten for nothing.
Tu Xiao’an ignored the pair and continued his frenzied Devouring of the chicks. In just a few minutes, all dozen-plus of them were gone. The chicken couple had pecked so hard they were about to cough up blood, but they still couldn’t stop the Snake.
As they continued to peck, the chicken couple grew terrified. They could feel a sinister, terrifying aura radiating from the Snake. Moreover, its body was actually expanding at a rate visible to the naked eye.
Even Tu Xiao’an himself hadn’t realized that he was now a large Snake, three meters long.
His body length had more than doubled.
Previously, every time Tu Xiao’an raised his Level, his body would only grow by about ten centimeters. But now, because of the Giant Snake Gene that Dr. Snake had injected, he had become incredibly responsive.
To grow so outrageously after just one meal.
The three-meter-long Silver White Snake’s silvery-white stripes shimmered as it ate, and the cells within its body multiplied without end.
’Had your fill of pecking? Now, it’s your turn.’
With a flick of its Snake Gaze, the three-meter-long Silver White Snake rose up, staring greedily at the chicken couple.
"SQUAWK..."
The chicken couple was no longer thinking about avenging their children, but about the terrifying possibility that they too were about to become the Snake’s next meal.
"ROAR..."
A monstrous, blood-red maw opened wide, and the adult hen was swallowed without a shred of resistance.
A few seconds later, the rooster could not escape its grim fate and joined the hen in the Silver White Snake’s stomach.
And just like that, a once-happy chicken family had been completely wiped out by Tu Xiao’an.
