Invincible Snake Emperor-Chapter 97 - 96: Frenzied Slaughter
Tu Xiao’an floated in mid-air, gazing down on the people below. The fury from the torment of his captivity, long suppressed, finally erupted like a volcano.
He had deliberately pretended to be under Chen Mo’s control to make the man lower his guard and pull out the Silver Needle in his head. Now, with the Silver Needle removed, his Consciousness Power instantly returned, and he reconnected with the system.
That black pill wasn’t so special after all. Tu Xiao’an had worried he would lose his mind after eating it, but surprisingly, he felt nothing at all.
It was like eating a piece of candy.
Now, he was like Sun Wukong, finally freed after five hundred years under Five Finger Mountain. He soared into the sky, ready to repay every grudge and settle every score.
"You are the peerless Snake Species I’ve been looking for..."
Dr. Snake Chen Mo’s brazen voice was still ringing in his ears. Tu Xiao’an’s Snake Pupils narrowed, and the Electric Bee King abruptly materialized above Chen Mo.
’You can f*cking die now.’
A streak of white flashed past. A slender bolt of lightning slammed into Chen Mo, whose face was a mask of madness.
"Doctor!"
"Doctor!"
"Oh my god, the doctor’s been struck by lightning!"
A loud ringing echoed in Chen Mo’s ears, as if they’d been pierced by a sharp needle. His entire body felt numb, and he swayed, on the verge of collapsing.
’Bombard them relentlessly!’
In an instant, claps of thunder erupted throughout the laboratory. The rumbling grew closer and closer until, with a final, deafening CRACK, a staff member’s eyes rolled back in his head and he collapsed, unmoving.
They couldn’t understand. How could there be thunder and lightning in a sealed laboratory?
High above the laboratory, the Electric Bee King and twenty Electric Bees fanned out. Their bodies flickered continuously as they unleashed a relentless, frenzied barrage of lightning, as if it cost them nothing.
Tu Xiao’an was furious. Since becoming a House Snake, he had never suffered such humiliation.
He had been caged, experimented on like a lab rat, and worst of all, nearly killed.
He was free now, and he would wreak havoc like Sun Wukong in the Celestial Palace, utterly lawless. First, he’d stun Dr. Snake with another bolt of lightning. That man was the bane of the entire Snake Race.
Before, Tu Xiao’an hadn’t known the man’s methods, allowing him to get the upper hand. He certainly wouldn’t give him another chance to use them now.
Another bolt of lightning slammed into Chen Mo, brutally forcing his body to hunch over as electricity coursed across his skin.
He was no ordinary person. He was a Human Awakened from an unknown Domain. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
CRACK... CRACK... CRACK...
Bolt after bolt of lightning struck Chen Mo without pause. Tu Xiao’an wanted to force him to his knees, to make him look up at him in submission.
The way he had called him "master" before made Tu Xiao’an’s stomach turn.
’The person who can be this House Snake’s master hasn’t been born yet.’
’It can control lightning... It can control lightning!’
Chen Mo was secretly astounded. His body slowly bent at the waist, forced to his knees. It was involuntary; the baptism of lightning made it impossible for him to straighten up.
’This snake can actually unleash lightning... Incredible. I can’t let it escape.’
Even now, these were the thoughts running through his mind.
"Master! Master, are you okay?"
Jiang Xingze was panic-stricken. It seemed he had already been through everything his master was now experiencing. The fear of death washed over him.
Tu Xiao’an had to admit that Dr. Snake was a monster. Although his Electric Bee Thunder couldn’t kill a person in a single strike, one hit was enough to knock them off their feet.
Yet, despite being struck by more than a dozen bolts of lightning, Chen Mo’s knees hadn’t buckled. He was still desperately holding on.
’You like venomous snakes? Then I’ll give you venomous snakes.’
Tu Xiao’an had collected quite a few rare and excellent species of venomous snakes on She Mountain. He had originally planned to give them to Sister Meilin, but that didn’t matter now.
Above the laboratory, savage and terrifying venomous snakes materialized from thin air and began to rain down. As they landed on people, they opened their mouths, sinking sharp, slender fangs into exposed necks and injecting their venom.
The laboratory had become a living Hell.
"Help! Help! I’ve been bitten by a venomous snake!"
Four or five venomous snakes frantically tore at one of the staff members, plunging the man into endless terror. Soon, he was foaming at the mouth, his breathing stopped, and he died.
One person dead!
Two people dead!
Five people dead!
There had been over a dozen staff members in the laboratory. In the blink of an eye, more than half of them were dead.
The entire laboratory was filled with the panicked aura of death. It felt as if the apocalypse had arrived on Earth, and no one would survive.
The slaughter continued.
The air was thick with the smell of blood. The whole world seemed to tremble as if mountains were collapsing and the earth were splitting apart. In an instant, one vibrant life after another was snuffed out.
It was like death by a thousand cuts, as venomous snakes, one after another, impatiently tore faces to shreds with their sharp fangs.
A few people, driven mad with fear, tried to flee the laboratory. But before they could escape, a BUZZING sound filled their ears. They looked up, and a sun-blotting swarm of bees descended, Devouring them like a black hole.
That’s right, bees. In addition to the terrifying venomous snakes, there were now no fewer than five thousand bees in the laboratory. Densely packed, they formed a black shadow in the air, rampaging wildly and stinging anyone they saw.
A red alert blared through the laboratory. A team of security guards burst in from outside, only to be instantly plunged into the same endless terror.
Screams erupted from all sides.
The Silver White Snake floating in mid-air watched the slaughter it had created with cold indifference, filled with the satisfaction of vengeance. It seemed the most wonderful feeling in the world was the thrill of obliterating everything with one’s own power.
A kind man is bullied by others; a kind snake is captured by men.
Since he was a venomous snake, he felt no need to pity those who had harbored ill intentions toward him.
Since becoming a venomous snake, Tu Xiao’an’s disposition had grown colder. A human life meant little in his eyes.
He was only responsible for protecting those he cared about. As for others, if they left him alone, fine. But if they provoked him, they would pay the price.
"Jiang Xingze, I told you. If I survived, I would repay you a hundredfold."
A voice filled with Killing Intent suddenly echoed in Jiang Xingze’s mind, making him tremble uncontrollably, shaking like a leaf.
The lab was crawling with venomous snakes and more than five thousand bees rampaged through the air, yet Jiang Xingze remained unharmed. Why? Because Tu Xiao’an was saving a special meal just for him.
Tu Xiao’an had etched into his memory every wound the man had carved on his body with that dagger. This person deserved death by a thousand cuts.
Jiang Xingze gritted his teeth, his wide pupils filled with terror. He glanced at his master, Dr. Snake, who was wreathed in lightning, desperately trying to withstand the assault.
He was too preoccupied to even save himself, let alone protect his apprentice.
’Run. I have to run. Otherwise, my death will be far more miserable than anyone else’s.’
He took a step, but suddenly felt an immense weight press down on his entire body, as if a mountain had been dropped on top of him.
It pinned him to the spot, making him unable to move.
"Oh my god!"
He let out a terrified scream. At some point, his entire body had become covered in a dense swarm of bees. It was as if he were wearing a Golden Bee Robe. No fewer than a thousand bees had landed on him, their combined weight of over a hundred pounds crushing the very breath from his lungs.
In the space of a few short breaths, Jiang Xingze’s face was also covered, leaving only his eyes exposed. He didn’t dare open his mouth, knowing that if he did, the bees would immediately crawl inside.
His throat felt frozen with terror, and his heart hammered as if it would burst from his chest.
His death would take only a second. In that single second, every inch of skin on his body would be stung by the bees until it was nothing but a festering ruin.
The phrase "covered in wounds" would not even begin to describe it.
