"Yes mother, yes. I know, I'll keep that in mind as well. You just look after Anna… She has a lot to say-... Yes yes I know we talked about all that. Hmm? I didn't mean it like that!"

Talking with mom was simply complicated.

We had already spent a day talking about all of the things we experienced over there. Telling them about Anna, the things we did over there, about Pappy, even the other things was not all that simple.

It took us some time, and even though we are going back, we had spent two extra days at the Heliox estate.

'We rested for most of the time and adapted to this environment, which was only possible because our reopening timings were delayed.'

Academy would open in a few days from now, we were on the airship right now, and we would start our second year directly when academy starts.

There will be a few days of rest and all the proceedings that follow, but we surely had to take care of the new year and new kinds of subjects from the beginning.

The classroom and the teacher for the homeroom would be the same, but we might not get to have the teachers we had for the common subjects once again.

'There's so much to do… and then there's mom.'

When we came back, she was in a critical state. Seeing us safe and well almost reincarnated her past self since according to grandmother and the other people at home, she was not herself in our absence.

She was not smiling, she wasn't doing any work, she had changed into a completely different person.

But still, seeing us safe and well brought her old self back. The kind of relief and joy that dad had when he saw the light in her eyes once again seemed simply unbelievable to me.

I cannot explain it, but he was thanking gods at that moment even though he despises them.

'It was a sight to be treasured.'

***

He did not discriminate between races or body figures like that. Ladies approached him first and he did not shy away from entertaining them.

As long as they were pretty and gave their consent he would be with them, and if they weren't uncomfortable, he would be with multiple partners at the same time, spending nights and days and afternoons with them… reading and gaining knowledge or being called a Saint candidate meant nothing at that point.

Looking back, Miyu did not know why he was doing this when he liked that lifestyle he had. There was no reason for him to change. He could still have fun if he asked her if she was comfertable being with more than just him… just ladies if she did not mind.

Miyu knew that the bastard wasn't going to be anywhere near the men when it came to things like these, he was too straight for that… if Eres wanted, he would politely stay away from her, but, if she was someone like that, he would not have been strracted to her in the first place.

"There is nothing strange in this, Miyu. Everyone has a different way to spend time. Some people talk, some people hug one another throughout the night, some people stay together but don't say a single thing, simply enjoying their own company while some just go and have fun together." Genny knew this wasn't all that unique.

She had been one of those long chatters. She talked about a lot of things– from the small things to the complicated things, from unique things to the most common thing that everyone would know about, or something related to their day and what they were going to do on the following day.

With her fiance, with her husband, she talked about all kinds of things. She was the chatterbox while he simply liked listening to things, listening to her words, listening to the cute chatter.

It didn't matter that he knew most of the things that she was saying, it also did not matter that she was telling him something she had already spoken about. He just liked listening, interrupting her midway to tell her to breathe a little, to drink water sometimes.

As she thought about those days, that past, those times… she was reminded of her time when she was not married, a time when she was also simply a young girl.

'But… this isn't what I wanted.'

They weren't supposed to talk like this. She had no idea what was happening inside the tent since they were giving them soem privacy. Their ethical boundries did not allow them sneek a peek at anything that was going on inside.

Rain knew everything that was going on in there but then again, he was the only one that knew what was gpoing on over there, as well as the only one that could tell if their chat was going to end anytime soon or not.

But he wasn't telling them anything. When it came to ethics, he had stronger ones compared to any of them… he was too stubborn for that.

"It's morning already, so I guess we should at least inform them that it's morning already. They should wrap things up for today and go for breakfast.

I'm starving already…" Miyu was hungry, but she was not the only one. Even Genny was a little hungry, but the same could not be said for the rest of the four, of which, three did not even need food for survival.

"I think they are going to finish up soon as well…" Rain kissed Miyu's head and he rubbed Zo's back. He knew she was hungry as well, but they wouldn't have to wait for too long anymore.

The discussion that Wise and Eres were having was almost nearing its end.

"What did they talk about though? I can't believe Wise got through to her so easily… wasn't she supposed to be different from the normal?" Alexa wondered that even after she knew the nature of this individual.

But, only Rain knew about how both of them were arguing the whole time on various ethical and moral dilemmas of mankind.

Wisely wanted to be the romantic kind, do something sweet and stuff, but then, after they started talking, the topic somehow came to whether it was right to kill those who had done something bad.

Wisely being a scholar had his own point of views of various societies and the ethical boundries that are followed in various worlds, so he tried to justify his own point of view, while Eres argued back with her own understanding of the truth.

She questioned how would the ethics of the world be of any matter to someone like her that had no real attachment to that world.

There was only suffering in that world for her, and thus she wanted to do something to lessen that suffering.

If killing someone or something helped with that, then what was the problem? To her, it wasn't a big deal to be looked at negatively by the society.

What did a witch care about humans or the other races when they don't even understand how their kind thinks or functions? How could they lump someone like them together with their fragile selves?

"They did not have as much fun as you think they did, I'd say."

Wisely was knowledgeable. He was also smart so he was practically counselling her the whole night in a way.

They were practically fighting at the start, then they calmed down and ate the food that Rain had prepared for them.

They liked it and it gave them strength to continue their argument.

At some point, Wisely started explaining to her the human viewpoint. The viewpoint that there are things in the world who make sense, things that are important, things that matter, and things that one needs to respect as a living entity.

But, she still did not understand half the things and just continued asking questions, asking the reasons, asking him about how it mattered to her.

But, ultimately, even though Wise tried the best he could, he could not make her understand the things which were simple to them.

"Oh. Seems like they're coming out now." There was no way he could have made her understand something humans and mortals inherently possess, a point of view that is developed over a lifetime.

"They don't look well… Eres seems confused as well."

He did his best, but there was little that she understood from this long chat of theirs.

"And Wise looks concerned about her." Genny had not expected this outcome, no one did actually.

"Hey… everyone."

Even though it was a new day and they had not slept a blink, they did not look tired at all so that much was a good thing. But since they had not resolved their arguments yet, they knew they were going to have to continue this sometime later.

The sooner they resolve this, the sooner they will be able to progress with what each of them wants… Perhaps this was going to stay in their heads for the time being, but, one cannot rule out the possibility of something else either.

Maybe this argument or talk or counselling session of theirs will take a bad turn and ruin things for them as well as for the others, or perhaps things will work out somehow and this high witch will have a new perspective of the world thanks to this green wise owl.

However, whatever the case might be, things were going to move forward.

They were going to meet and talk once again, and that much was for certain…
