Journey of the Fate Destroying Emperor-Chapter 1799: Holy Son Privileges
Out of shock at Wang Wei saying something so absurd, Fangjin lost control of his aura for a microsecond, revealing his cultivation realm. Now, all Wang Wei could think about was what made such a person choose to serve another. Is he some kind of unique lifeform, a puppet, or is the holy land so good at training its people?
"Well, I guess the truth doesn’t matter for now," Wang Wei thought. "However, I feel like Fangjin’s ability would be immensely useful to Wang Qi." As one of the few subordinates who accompanied him from the lower dimension, Wang Qi has great fondness for the latter. Sadly, his rapid development and Wang Qi’s poor talent meant their time together was limited. But things could change if Wang Qi could absorb Fangjin’s strength and talent.
"Let’s put this matter aside for now," Wang Wei thought.
"Much better," he commented to the "loyal" servant. "Now, tell me everything about the sect."
"Everything? That would be too much, sir. Maybe, you should specify."
"You make a good point," Wang Wei nodded. "My current purpose is to train and increase my strength. So, why don’t you start with the training resources available to me?"
"As you wish." For the next hour, Fangjin explained all the benefits and privileges of the Holy Son. Of course, since the information was so vast, he would just give a brief introduction, his own comment, and a suggestion before handing Wang Wei a talisman containing more detailed information.
"Their foundation is truly scary," Wang Wei thought. The holy land has already perfected a system that ensures Saints are born in every generation. They have reached the point of artificially breeding Saint Tier resources to ensure the cultivation of their people.
"If only I could steal everything and bring it back," Wang Wei lamented. After secretly shaking his head, he focused on the task at hand.
After analyzing everything, his first instinct was to use the Saint Will Monument, which all disciples used to help condense their Will Domination and Saint Will Prototype. However, he controlled himself and headed to the Scripture Pavilion. Knowledge was Wang Wei’s power, and the more he knows, the more options he’ll have when in danger.
According to Supreme Elder Mingyunjun’s words, as the Holy Son, Wang Wei had access to all knowledge and resources below the second step, including knowledge of the Primordial Saint realm. He wanted to test out whether this was true or whether these people would use all kinds of excuses to hinder him from enjoying his privileges.
As a Holy Son, Wang Wei received a token, and with just a thought, he could access all the knowledge in the library. However, he wanted to see the place himself, so he had Fangjin lead him. The scripture pavilion was also on the hilt of the axe, but slightly below his Holy Son’s mansion.
Wang Wei arrived and saw the beautiful white building. He recognized the material as something that can increase comprehension and even drastically increase the odds of having an epiphany. This library was worthy of a Saint Lineage, and if Wang Wei were to be honest with himself, this pavilion had only revealed the tip of the iceberg.
Crack!
As he was about to enter, a void crack appeared before him. A muscular man dressed in a lion’s hide appeared. Wang Wei was 1.95 meters tall, but this man was at least 2.5 meters tall, with domineering eyes. Crossing his arms, Holy Son Seed Yanchu looked down at Wang Wei and Fangjin. "No three heads or six arms — nothing special at all. So, what makes you think you can just come in and sit on the throne?" 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Boom!
A terrifying punch with intense killing intent rushed toward Yanchu, who desperately tried to resist by blocking with iron-like arms. Sadly, he had only condensed a Will Domination while his opponent could condense a false Supreme Saint Will at any time. The fate of Yanchu’s arms wasn’t hard to determine. However, Wang Wei didn’t just want his arms; he wanted his life.
The second punch was even more intense and potent. Anyone watching could tell that Yanchu would die once he was hit. And of course, they couldn’t allow one of their seeds to die. No matter how powerful and talented Wang Wei was, he was not one of their own. After helping the holy land, he would probably return to his home.
Bang!
A golden shield appeared around Yanchu, nullifying all the attack’s strength. As a Holy Son Seed, he was granted a Saint artifact capable of protecting him in front of even a 12-pillar Primordial Saint. Wang Wei wasn’t surprised by this outcome; he simply wanted to test out how much these higher-ups were willing to tolerate him.
"Look at the fear in your eyes. No wonder you’ve never been able to condense a Saint Will Prototype," Wang Wei scoffed. A boundless rage rushed out deep from Yanchu’s soul after hearing these words. However, as he was about to erupt, he remembered that terrifying punch, and his mind cooled down faster than the temperature of hell. With this one attack, his Dao Heart did not collapse, but it was on the verge of doing so.
Wang Wei glanced at him briefly before turning to Fangjin: "What’s his strength among the seeds?"
"He’s ranked second."
"Such strength, and he’s second? Is there a vast difference between the first and second place?"
"Not really. In a fight, the first place probably has a 70% chance of winning, and only if he’s at his peak."
"It seems this generation of your Holy Land is quite mediocre. No wonder you need an outsider to help you." Wang Wei did not hide his feelings despite knowing countless eyes were probably watching him.
Fangjin glanced at his new employer and did not comment on the matter. He understood that Yanchu was not as bad as stated. The reason for such poor performance was Wang Wei’s killing intent and the vast difference between their souls and spiritual cultivation.
One of the core differences between this world and the Primordial Timeline is how long it takes cultivators. On average, a Paragon takes about a million Yuan Epoch. Meanwhile, the average raising time for an Ancestral Fiendgod — which is on par with Primals — is only 10,000 Yuan Epoch. The most talented genius of this world reached the ancestral realm after only 1200 Yuan Epoch.
Yanchu was only less than 7,000 Yuan Epoch and had already reached 5-star. Meanwhile, Wang Wei had lived for so long; his experience, spirit, and accumulated killing intent were beyond a youngster like Yanchu. So, when faced with that terrifying killing intent for the first time, it’s understandable that his Dao Heart was about to collapse. Although it was still a disgrace, it was understandable.
"Where is the abode of the other four?" Wang Wei asked. "Let’s deal with them first, so they stop annoying me." He could tell that Yanchu was not only weak but also stupid. The fact that he was the first to act was probably because someone manipulated him. For now, Wang Wei plans to suppress all five Holy Son seeds, and after a while, he’ll decide whether they are worth associating with.
"If you would please follow me," Fangjin replied, not offering any advice or comments. Wang Wei left, ignoring Yanchu. He didn’t think this man’s cultivation path was finished. The expedition had countless ways to deal with a broken Dao Heart, let alone a sect that a Great Dao Saint created.
The subsequent action was smooth. Starting from the weakest member, Wang Wei openly challenged these seeds and suppressed them — usually with only one move. The first seed — a beautiful woman with great legs — survived five punches, but only because she used a secret technique that boosted her strength, but the side-effect of leaving her weak for a couple of thousand years.
"I thought she wouldn’t dare accept the challenge," Wang Wei commented as they teleported back to the scripture pavilion.
"Her mind would have been flawed if she hadn’t dared to fight," Fangjin briefly stated.
"True, and she’s the only one whose Dao Heart remained intact after the defeat. She has potential," Wang Wei nodded. The affairs of the Holy Son’s seeds were dealt with, and now, he can finally focus on what’s important. The content of a Saint lineage’s library truly welcomed his eyes.
The variety of techniques available was mind-blowing to Wang Wei. During his first interaction with the Bi Clan from the Primeval Body Mansion, they classified body refining into different paths: [Bloodline], [Qi Blood], [Giant], [Weapon Body], and so many more. At first, Wang Wei thought most of the techniques here would be only bloodline, but that was far from the case. The library contained many variables and different paths to body refinement — the bloodline section just has the most techniques.
"If these people don’t block me, I will copy everything here to bring back to the sect," Wang Wei thought excitedly. After browsing through things, he headed directly to a unique section: Saint Ascension. That part of the scripture pavilion contained all the information a Primal or Ancestral Powerhouse would need to know to become a Saint.
