Chapter 51 - 46 Who gives a fuck? As long as he’s not a Murderer, that’s enough.

Geto Suguru recalled the cursed spirits he had encountered before—how, even after exorcising them, a similar spirit would regenerate in the same place. He nodded in agreement with Yamashita Ryo's statement.

"How exactly did your brother, Yamashita Gen, die?"

"It was... an accident. They killed him."

When Yamashita Ryo mentioned his brother's death, there was no hesitation or sorrow on his face. Geto Suguru guessed that this person might lack the emotional response a normal person should have.

After a brief pause, Yamashita Ryo continued, "Yesterday, I went home with them—those men in black—to search for Gen's USB drive. We ran into him just as he returned to the apartment. He was furious, thinking I had betrayed him. Then... the accident happened."

"The two police officers—were they also killed by them?" Geto Suguru frowned upon hearing how indifferently Ryo referred to his own brother's death.

"That's right." Yamashita Ryo shrugged nonchalantly. "Unlucky for them, they just happened to witness the men in black killing Gen."

Geto Suguru stared at the other man's utterly emotionless face and sighed silently. He asked, "One last question—who are these men in black?"

"The men in black? No idea... and I don't care."

"You don't care who killed your own brother?"

"That brat was always clinging to me since childhood, like a piece of gum I could never shake off. Honestly, he was annoying. It's better that he's dead." Ryo still looked indifferent, clicking his tongue. "Can I leave now?" (T/N: In raws his brother was elder now he's Youngest?)

As soon as he finished speaking, a sudden flash of light lit up the darkness.

Annoyed, Yamashita Ryo looked up, only to be startled by Gojo Satoru, who was snapping photos of him with his phone.

"What are you doing?" Instinctively, Ryo raised his hand to shield his face.

"Oh! Just for memories," Gojo Satoru said, pouting at the pictures on his screen. "Why don't you smile? You look kind of ugly in these. But at least, it's clearly you!"

Then he raised his phone again. "By the way, I recorded everything you just said. No denying it later!"

Yamashita Ryo's face turned red with anger, but there was nothing he could do against Gojo and Geto. He could only grit his teeth and say, "Do whatever you want! Can I leave now?"

"Hey, kid."

Gojo Satoru's usual playful smirk remained, but his tone turned chillingly cold.

"Next time, don't cross paths with me. If you really did kill someone, even if the police don't come for you, I will. Don't forget—Jujutsu society can sentence someone to death without a court trial. And my family just so happens to have some influence there."

Yamashita Ryo swallowed hard, feeling a shiver run down his spine. Gojo might look like a carefree teenager, but for some reason, Ryo couldn't even argue when he called him a 'kid.'

Once Yamashita Ryo disappeared into the shadows, Geto Suguru peeled Gojo off his shoulder and asked, "What do you think about all this?"

"What do I think?" Gojo hummed, climbing back onto Geto's shoulders. "I heard that the brain functions slower when it lacks sugar. Suguru, you'll make me some daifuku, right?"

Sighing, Geto could only accept his fate and nod before heading toward the apartment.

"Yes! I knew you were the best, Suguru!" Gojo cheered, raising his arms.

"Shut up." Geto swatted away the white-haired cat clinging to him.

"By the way..."

Gojo's voice suddenly dropped, his cerulean eyes narrowing slightly behind his blindfold.

"Yamashita Ryo might not know who the men in black are, but I'd bet they have something to do with the sorcerers sent to exorcise the cursed spirit. Either he leaked a secret, or he was involved himself."

Geto Suguru completely agreed. "Right. The men in black started targeting Yamashita Gen only after that sorcerer exorcised the cursed spirit and saved that unlucky netizen. Gojo, why do you think they were after Gen's abilities?"

"Then let me ask you—why do you think Dr. Itadori was interested in Yamashita Gen's abilities?" Gojo countered.

"Itadori...?" Geto's eyes widened as he recalled that Itadori Kaori had been near Yamashita Gen's apartment around the time of his death. "You're saying Dr. Itadori also wanted Gen's abilities, but she was just a step behind the men in black?"

"Exactly." Gojo nodded, raising an eyebrow. "Think about it—a program that can generate cursed spirits and replicate itself across the internet."

The mere thought of it sent a chill down Geto's spine. If someone with ill intentions modified the program, couldn't it create even stronger cursed spirits?

It was fortunate that the USB drive containing the program's source code hadn't fallen into the wrong hands.

"Gojo, we need to find Yamashita Gen's USB drive."

But Gojo simply smiled, looking relaxed. "Suguru, no need to be so worried. You should take care of yourself too! Now that Yamashita Gen is dead, no one else can easily replicate the program."

"Huh?" Geto blinked, suspiciously eyeing Gojo. "How do you know that?"

"Don't forget—I'm the heir of the Gojo clan! Of course, I know things you don't." Gojo smirked.

In truth, Gojo had recalled something from his past investigations before time rewound.

Yamashita Ryo and Yamashita Gen were orphans, raised by their uncle and aunt, who later threw them out when Ryo turned fifteen.

More importantly, while Gen could materialize cursed spirits and bind them into a digital program, the program itself required his unique cursed energy. Without his energy, even if someone got the USB drive, they couldn't just copy-paste their way into recreating it.

In other words, with Gen's death, the USB drives had lost their original function. Neither the mysterious organization nor Dr. Itadori seemed to know this.

A baiting plan began to take shape in Gojo's mind.

Of course, before that—

"Hey, Suguru, when are we eating daifuku?" Gojo glanced at Geto and asked, his voice almost whining.

Geto remained unmoved, answering coldly, "At least wait until we're back at the apartment."

"Okay!" Gojo beamed, wrapping an arm around Geto's shoulder like it was the most natural thing. Then, out of nowhere, he asked, "Hey, doesn't that Conan kid have some professor friend?"

"Huh?" Geto tilted his head at the sudden change in topic. "I think his name is Agasa Hiroshi."

"Then after we eat, let's..."
