Kaijin Fighter: So I Have to Make Monsters, So What?-Chapter 1135: Home Developments
’Well, good to know that the Kaijin are also capable of filling with existential dread...seriously though, is what they’re suggesting possible.’
=Well... I suppose it is possible for there to be other Strangebloods out there...parts of our memory are still sealed away. That and the fact that when we don’t have a Lord, we stop working altogether.=
<Secretive bastards, all of them!,> Pathos complained. <Course, I don’t blame them. We kind of them raised to be like that.>
’Of course you...wait a minute...don’t I know not just one, but two possible sources of Kaijin activity?’
<=...oh yeah...=>
’Wait until we get home to resolve that though.’
<=Oh! Speaking of home, you and your cousins are going to get a kick out of this. So, Arachnidame and Lacerage determined that your clan was ready to learn [Chaos] arts.=>
’Say what?’
<Yeah, and you’re in luck because two of your uncles are about to showcase their stuff in a sparring capacity!>
=Zako feed, online.=
..Meanwhile on the other side of the world...
[Regalia,on!]
[Regalia,on!]
ROAR!
REEE!
In the training arena of the Zhen Clan estate, two of the elders were about to exchange blows for the sake of training.
On one side was Zhen Xi, whose [Regalia] had the vague visage of a giant boar, while being made entirely out of stone and blackened steel. Combined with his large bulk, he looked as if he could comfortably suplex an elephant.
On the other side was Zhen Hou. His [Regalia] appeared to be made of silver and purple cloth, but made him have the visage of a very large bear. Then again, that could’ve been due to his equally large bulk.

"Don’t hold back for me, big brother!," Zhen Xi declared while stomping his foot in anticipation.
"Wasn’t planning to!," Zhen Hou responded while slamming his fists together.
Out of all the elders in their clan, both Zhen Hou and Zhen Xi were power-type warriors, meaning that they preferred straightforward but brutal attacks that left little room for error on their opponents.
That was especially the case nowadays due to their recently acquired gains, but they were saving those for later. For now, they needed to see how far along they were in their traditional cultivation methods. After all, they had just broken through to Grandmaster rank, and wanted to see just how sturdy their respective [Regalia] were.
"Ready..."
"Go!"
[Mountain Crushing Boar Charge!]
Zhen Xi was the first to make a move, amping up his entire body with aether before forcefully strengthening his legs.
Despite looking like a human boulder, Zhen Xi managed to move as fast as an aether enhanced crossbow bolt and was about to tackle Zhen Hou right in the solar plexus.
Most other warriors in this situation would dodge out of the way or redirect the blow...Zhen Hou didn’t do either of these.
Instead, Zhen Hou met force with force.
[Grand Grizzly Palm!]
During the incredibly small window of time where Zhen Xi was charging at him, Zhen Hou had condensed his aether into the palm of his armored hand, causing a portion of it to glow with power.
Once it was fully saturated, Zhen Hou swung forward and slammed his palm against Zhen Xi’s shoulder.
At least, he tried to swing it into his shoulder.
The sheer power produced by the charge was enough to create a protective bubble that pushed back against Zhen Hou’s palm.
Neither side wanted to relent at this moment, since power were both of theirs forte.
Bang!
"A draw!"
"Damn!"
Unfortunately, they didn’t have a choice as their respective attacks fizzled out and forced the two to take a step back...but not for long.
Once both sides re-established their footing, they went right into a slugfest, punching and blocking one another like they were proper pugilists.
Heavy booming sounds echoed from the arena as Zhen Xi and Zhen Hou traded blows with one another, with neither side gaining a clear advantage.
Once they had exchanged about ten blows, both sides shared the same thought.
’Alright time to kick it up a notch!’
With one last exchange of fists, Zhen Hou and Zhen Xi separated from one another and took on very different stances that had strangely similar auras to them.
Evidently, both sides decided that now was a good time to practice the [Primordial Beast Scripture].
Well, their version of the scripture.
As the two elders continued to condense [Chaos], two distinctive beastial constructs began to manifest around them.
Surrounding Zhen Xi was an armored creature that was colloquialy known as the Hellpig in another world, while the beast surrounding Zhen Hou resembled a massive bear with a surprisingly short face. That stated, both of these beast-like constructs had details that seemed unnatural and strange, almost like they were actually beasts from the darkest pits of hell.
Of course, they were wielding power that was even older than that concept.
The two old warriors weren’t exactly used to processing [Chaos] through their bodies yet, but they were still able to fully saturate the art to a satisfactory point. That said, the results were very different from each other.
[Primordial Beast Scripture: Hellpig Booster!]
[Primordial Beast Scripture: Ursine Mark!]
REEE!
ROAR!
The aforementioned Hellpig surrounding Zhen Xi suddenly exploded as soon as the latter made the declaration, transforming into a pair of pauldrons and a helmet that replaced those portions of Zhen Xi’s [Regalia]. Not only that, but a pair of rocket boosters manifested on his back as well.
As for Zhen Hou, the result produced by his execution of the scripture was no less dramatic.
The aforementioned bear construct folded in on itself, taking on the form of a seal that slapped itself onto his chest, causing his [Regalia] to reform in a way that encircled the seal.
As for the effect of the seal, Zhen Hou became significantly more muscular.
"Ready?"
"Ready."
Evidently, the difference in results was a direct reflection on how Zhen Hou and Zhen Xi approached their battles, despite both using brute force as their main tool.
The former preferred to make use of [Overwhelming] force.
If one blow wasn’t enough, then two. If not two, then three and etcetera, etcetera. Hence why Zhen Hou’s [Chaos] was distributed over his body with the seal on his chest acting like an anchor.
As for Zhen Xi, he preferred [Focused] force.
By applying all of his power into a singular point, he could drive through even the thickest defenses by making sure there was no way for the blows to get diffused. It was due to this philosophy that his [Chaos] took the form of a helmet with boosters. After all, it’s easier to tackle than to punch.
"Go!"*2
In a manner similar to how the first part of this battle opened, Zhen Xi charged at Zhen Hou with all is his might, however he was even faster than he was just moments ago.
In response, Zhen Hou began channeling [Chaos] into both of his palms this time around and prepared to bring them down like a pair of heavy hammers on his charging brother’s head.
The collision of these powerful attacks would surely be a sight to behold, something that would go down in history as a perfect example of the power of the Zhen Clan.
"Bleh!"
"Bleh!"
Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.
Just as the two warriors were about to collide, both Zhen Hou and Zhen Xi ran out of steam at the exact same time.
Neither of their bodies were used to processing [Chaos] just yet so they ended up burning through it a lot faster than they would aether.
As a result, Zhen Xi’s armor disappeared about half way through his charge while Zhen Hou’s tattoo disappeared and caused him to deflate back to normal size.
What should’ve been an epic exchange of blows, turned into Zhen Xi tripping, falling and rolling while Zhen Hou lamely swung a palm before collapsing on to the ground next to Zhen Xi.
"Hey...you good?"
"Yeah...just tired as all hell..."
"Yup."
The two Aether Grandmasters hadn’t felt this way since childhood so this was strangely nostalgic.
That said, they still weren’t pleased about ending up in such a state.
"Hey...you think we’ll ever get to the point where we can actually use this stuff before the Beast Tide hits?," Zhen Xi asked his older brother.
"Probably but we’re probably gonna be good for the one attack," Zhen Hou answered honestly. "On the plus side, the kids seem to have a better handle on this [Chaos] stuff than us old farts."
"Is that because they’re younger or because their cultivation is less refined?"
"Honestly, it’s either or."
"Fair."
As the two elders spent this time talking, a peculiar looking statue was keeping watch.
...
’I...I don’t know if I should be worried, annoyed or impressed right now.’
<=How about all three?=>
’All three sounds good...wait...is it just the elders and scions undergoing this weird training?’
