Kami-Jutsu: The Yakuza's Son is Aware-Chapter 19: Die for the Shinigami Ō
Jack seemed like the paranoid type who didn’t usually make sense to the group, but somehow made the most sense of them all.
"Alright," the widow voiced from behind them, "to quench Jack’s fear... Neko," she turned to one of the identical twins, "cut him down, once and for all."
Neko nodded and moved in to behead Ken, her dark red jacket fluttering in the soft night wind.
She reached within distance and raised her sword.
It seared through the air toward Ken’s neck, but—
KLANG!
It was deflected.
Neko and the others backed off immediately, their faces painted with surprise.
The strike had been deflected—not by Ken, who was still sitting on the ground suddenly staring at everyone like a wild beast with golden eyes...
[Valhalla] was in effect.
No, the strike was deflected by—
"...M-Mio!" the Don said it.
The famous Mio we’d been hearing about had arrived on set.
Ara?
But this girl...
She wore a dark robe-like outfit, her long black hair slipping out.
Ah, yes. This was the shadowy lady from the penthouse.
The one Ken killed when he cut some girl in half, and the shockwave traveled and split this one too.
"Mio... Are you okay?!" Mr. Don looked both relieved and terrified, like Mio was a ghost about to vanish. "C’mon, it’s Daddy. Come here."
Daddy?!
Okay, which type of daddy are we talking about here?
Well, Mr. Don does look old enough to have fathered her age mate.
Mio glanced at him with anger, her brows knitted in a deep frown.
"Please..." Mio’s voice was soft and scrappy, like Ken’s. "Die for the Shinigami Ō."
The moment those words escaped her lips, Ken basically vanished.
But he was just moving so fast, it might’ve seemed like he disappeared.
Unfortunately, the one closest to him was the physically fit onee-san, whose name we weren’t opportune to hear.
Ken appeared before her—and before she could even shift into defense, gritting her teeth—Ken’s hand flew through her neck in a flash.
Her shocked head fell and rolled, facing the Don.
It didn’t stop there. Like flicking a light bulb on and off, Ken appeared and vanished in quick bursts.
A punch to Jack’s wary face—and his head was lost.
The host club guy tried to jump, but Ken threw his hand up to meet him.
And then, it began to rain blood and flesh.
Neko ran at him with her katana, while her twin flanked her, opening fire on Ken.
The bullets hit, but bounced off Ken’s defense like ice hitting steel.
Ken disappeared again.
The twins looked at each other—blood seeped from their mouths—and they both fell, cleanly severed from the waist down.
The creepy dude with the big smile... yeah, still smiling for some reason.
But he started running toward his crew members.
He was just about to reach them, a breath of relief slipping out— 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
THNK!
A katana suddenly penetrated his skull.
He still had that big smile... even in death.
When he collapsed, the person behind the strike was revealed.
"Mi... Minase?!" the black widow gasped in shock.
Minase—yes, the executive who’d blown up the entire penthouse some minutes ago.
At her side were the three ladies who had first attacked Ken. All alive and well.
Minase glanced at the shocked Don. "Forgive me, Toki..."
Before long, a great shout rang out.
The space around the hotel ruptured like glass, and people—formerly labeled dead, most of their bodies already tagged in the mortuary—came pouring out of the breaks, armed to the teeth.
And boom... War began.
The Sabertooth’s men on site were about 300.
But the folks stepping out of the portals... 447 in total.
Among them, one Kamijutsu user.
Yamai... or was it Yamaha? Whatever.
Even though he couldn’t use Kamijutsu due to the satellite jamming field, he was still almost as strong as Ken.
So basically, he fought like a hundred men.
In total, the Sabertooths were fighting 547 people, basically. It was a bloodbath.
Ken just watched it all with golden eyes, slitted like a serpent’s.
As calm as someone overseeing a construction site.
Within minutes, dozens fell.
The guy in the mask did pretty well, actually.
He even managed to kill both Mio and Minase.
But then got greeted with a punch from the other Kamijutsu user, and it was lights out.
"C’mon, sis!" the Kamijutsu guy called to a lady in a suit. "Let’s wreck that anti-Kamijutsu device!"
"Wait, Yamada, I haven’t even figured out what’s going on..." she frowned.
Okay, she was hella cute!
"Don’t think about that right now," Yamada (yep, heard his name now) smiled at her.
"Let’s just do as the Ō commands."
And wow, like his words unchained her, the cute lady in the suit nodded and started bodying folks with superhuman strength.
She raised her leg and kicked a guy’s neck.
The result wasn’t pretty at all.
She even locked someone’s neck in a car door.
I wonder what her anger with necks is.
She cleared the way for Yamada to reach the satellite’s position.
The guards there unloaded bullets at him, but Yamada twisted and dodged with the grace of an astronaut swimming through space.
The outcome was;
Several men had their skulls caved in, like they’d been kicked with an iron boot.
Then Yamada hoisted the large device up himself, and slammed it into the ground, shattering it.
The Don was very pleased... Okay, he was fuming from all the chaos.
"You think you’re hot stuff, huh?!" he yelled, then brought out a cube from his pocket.
It began to expand and transform into something bigger and lengthy, with stands.
Okay, it turned into a bazooka thingy, with pulsing blue lines around the metallic surface.
Mhm... I can’t access all my memories, but I think I recognize those blue lines:
