Chapter 74: Chapter 73 Father’s Commission
Chapter 74 -73 Father’s Commission
“Master, we have received a duel request, would you like to accept?”
“Hm?” Muria, who was busy crunching on elemental crystals, lifts his head, looking at Cassio, “Duel request for me? Who is challenging me?”
“Heloise.”
“What?” Muria, with a confused look on his adorable loli face, stares at his spirit, “But she is at the soul intent level, challenging me, a mere golden weakling? Are you sure there’s been no mistake?”
“No mistakes.”

“Accept the request!” Muria quickly stuffs the remaining elemental crystals into his mouth and chews them down, “Begin establishing the teleportation array to the arena now!”
Muria was puzzled as to why Heloise would issue a challenge to him. The attitude displayed by the Titan teenager, Klaeste, the day before had shown a lot, the Titans only wished to battle with those who matched or exceeded their strength. They detested one-sided fights.
Heloise was far stronger than Muria. The outcome of this battle was predictable even before it had begun, but he would never refuse, even if he knew he would be beaten to a pulp. It’s by fighting the strong that progress is gained fastest.
A blinding teleportation glow casts over Muria. After a fleeting bout of dizziness, he is once again inside the bleak and dimly lit arena. Standing in front of him was Heloise in light armor.
“Put on your dragon armor.” The cold, distant voice resounded by Muria’s ear. Upon hearing this, Muria put on his dragon armor without any hesitation, leaving only his piercing golden eyes and shoulder-length black hair visible.
“Boom!” Once Muria had put on his dragon armor, Heloise charged towards him in silence. Under his gaze filled with a touch of defiance, she smashed apart the heavy dragon armor on his chest with a single punch.
“Crack!” A series of bone-crushing sounds follow. This time, Heloise hadn’t held back at all. The immense force acted upon Muria, breaking an unknown number of his ribs with that single punch.
“Thud!” Simultaneously, Muria’s imposing 32-meter figure was sent flying through the air, drawing out a low parabolic trajectory, before finally crashing into the ground and creating a shallow pit.
“Drip! Drip!” Light gold blood began trickling from beneath Muria’s faceguard. “Cough!” His chest in intense pain, he let out a heavy cough.
“Get up!” Heloise’s face emotionless, she watched as Muria, who she’d sent sprawling with a single punch, coughed up blood.
Upon hearing Heloise’s words, Muria’s blood began to boil. Golden Dragon Flames ignited, while his shattered dragon armor, fractured bones, and torn muscle began to rapidly heal thanks to his robust constitution.
“Muria, do you know why we Titans are hailed as the mightiest near god-world race?” Heloise, her cold and emotionless voice echoed through the vast arena. “Is it because of the bloodline of our Titans?”
“No, it’s not. In Elasia, there are not less than ten races whose bloodlines can rival that of ours. But despite that, we Titans are praised as the strongest.” Heloise didn’t wait for Muria to respond; she simply continued to speak, without any change in her expression.
“When those legendary creatures sleep, we strengthen our martial techniques. When those creatures play, we hone our skills against peers and slay monsters.
From the moment we Titans are born, and as soon as we grip a sword in hand, we are endlessly fighting, ceaselessly killing. We Titans fight and murder our way to legend. Therefore, we are hailed as the strongest race.”
“Muria, your bloodline is potent, stronger than the majority of Titans in the clan land, but that’s not enough.” Heloise looked at Muria, who already managed to rise to his feet. “The strength of us Titans is not in our bloodlines but in our inherited martial techniques.”
“Now, attack me with the martial technique you’ve learnt.” Heloise’s indifferent voice sounded.
“Crack!” As Heloise finished speaking, a thick thunderbolt pillar shot straight at her. Without any hesitation, Muria launched an attack. Facing a Titan at the soul intent level, Muria wasn’t concerned about being too harsh.
“Too weak, Muria,” Heloise raised her hand and crushed the massive thunderbolt pillar, “Your force is too scattered. That’s not how you use the Thunderstorm Strike.”
“Boom!” A thunderbolt pillar, identical in size to the one Muria fired, thundered towards him. Raising his fist, he easily blocked and shattered the attack.
“A third-tier golden attack,” Muria could tell the level of the thunderbolt pillar’s force in an instant.
“I’ve already suppressed my strength to the golden stage three. Pay close attention to the force contained in my thunderbolt pillar.”
Without waiting for her sentence to end, thunder pillars one after another whizzed towards Muria. Muria didn’t dodge them; he swung his fist, wreathed in Dragon Flames, shattering those thunder pillars one by one and earnestly sensing the power within each of them and comparing it with his own.
“…Thud!” Muria, entirely charred with severe burns, fell flat on his back. He had been so brutally beaten by Heloise that he was physically drained of power and unable to fight.
“Let’s stop here for today. We’ll continue tomorrow.” Seeing the lifeless Muria lying exhausted, Heloise nods approvingly and prepares to teleport away.
“There’s more tomorrow?” Upon hearing Heloise’s words, Muria didn’t know whether he should laugh or cry. Although he had been harshly battered by this violent Titan girl for an entire day, Muria could feel significant improvement in himself.
“Is there something wrong?”
“Clearly there is.” Upon hearing this, Muria couldn’t suppress the confusion in his heart any longer. Today’s confrontation with Heloise was more like receiving guidance through intense methods rather than battle, and it lasted an entire day.
“Why are you instructing me?” Muria asked as he looked bewilderingly at the stunning female Titan. An idea popped into his mind: could it be that Heloise was his half-sister through his father, hence the reason she spent time training him?
“After coming home yesterday, I received a commission from Lord Ansalor, asking me to guide and train you in martial arts. Unable to deny Lord Ansalor’s reward, I agreed,” she replied.
“That’s it?” Muria looked rather disappointed at Heloise’s straightforwardness. He was just about ready to address her as ‘sister.’
“What else did you expect?” she queried.
“Wait, what did my father pay you?” he asked.
“He offered me enough highly valuable Legendary Metal to forge my exclusive weapon,” Heloise firmly answered, looking at Muria.
“What? Legendary Metal!” Muria jumped up from where he was laying on the ground.
Legendary Metal! His father was giving away such a treasure as a tuition fee? And it was enough to craft a Titan Weapon?
“Muria, I promise to guide you properly until Lord Ansalor is satisfied.” Leaving him with these words, Heloise disappeared in a flash of light.
Feeling weak and achy, Muria collapsed back on the ground. He wasn’t sure how to react to his father’s generosity. After some time, he began communing with his spirit.
“Master, should I directly transport you to the recuperation room?”
“The recuperation room? What’s that?” Muria asked with confusion. He was merely tired and physically unharmed. Why would he need to recuperate?
“It can help eliminate any latent injuries left from your battles,” Cassio explained.
“Then what are you waiting for? Transport me right away.”
Splat! Muria fell from the sky and splashed into a wide pool. The rich and refreshing smell of grass and nature wafted into his nose, a warm sensation radiating from all over his body.
Surveying his surroundings, Muria saw Cassio’s spirit hovering in the air and knew he was back in his residence. Seeing the bare stone walls around him, he realized this must be one of the rooms in the dwelling.
“What is this?” Muria asked as he immersed half his body in the lightly viscous, pale green liquid of the pool.
“It’s a concoction to repair any internal damage to your body. The primary ingredient is sap from the Tree of Life,” Cassio explained.
“The Tree of Life of the Elves?” Muria looked at the pool large enough for swimming, a wry smile on his lips.
“Yes. Every so often, the Elves provide a batch of tree sap. This is part of the condition for the Titans allowing the Elves to live and reproduce on the Titan Islands,” Cassio casually explained. “And also, master, the sap you’re using comes from 126 Trees of Life; no need to cut down a whole tree.”
“Over a hundred Trees of Life.” Muria licked his lips. The Titan Islands were home to hundreds of these world-class treasures. “Cassio, with this many Trees of Life present, the Elves living on our Titan Islands must have a higher tier Eternal Tree of Life, or even a World Tree…?”
“There is one, master,” Cassio looked at Muria. “However, you really shouldn’t imagine using the sap from the World Tree, master. You’re not nearly qualified to use that class of treasure.”
“No need to tell me, Cassio,” Muria replied with a wry smile. “I’m aware; the sap of the Tree of Life is more than enough for me at my current stage.”
“Oh, by the way, Cassio, you mentioned that the Elves periodically provide batches of Tree of Life sap as a condition of living on the Titan Islands. What are the other conditions imposed by us Titans?”
“Master, what is the Elf Race famous for in Elasia?”
“Well, every Elf is stunningly beautiful. Extremely attractive,” Muria quickly responded.
After his reply, he looked up and saw Cassio’s pure face staring blankly back at him.
“Heh heh, it seems I was mistaken,” Muria scratched his chin sheepishly. After a while, he answered with a somewhat uncertain tone, “Their trees and their skill with the bow and arrow?”
“Correct. The Elven archery is the strongest in Elasia, even better than the Titans. So that’s their second condition for living on the Titan Islands.
Any Titan who wants to learn archery can be taught by an expert from the Elf Royal Family.”
Muria’s eyes lit up with excitement. He looked seriously at his spirit and said, “I want to learn archery!”
“No!”
