Chapter 95: Chapter 93 Companions
Chapter 95 -93 Companions
“Is this… Fine Gold?” Upon arriving in Muria’s accommodation with Troy, the White Tiger, who was visiting for the first time, was thunderstruck by the turquoise-blue mountain that filled its view. It knew exactly what it was.
“This is just a Fine Gold mine,” Muria also looked at the small turquoise mountain in front of him with some regret. If only it were actually a mountain of Fine Gold.
Ever since he found out there were no limits to the number of Exclusive Weapons, Muria had been desperate for Legendary Metal. Rather than worrying about what kind of Exclusive Weapon to make, he might as well just make every weapon he wanted.
“Sigh… It’s indeed great to have an Epic ancestor. They are happy to provide Legendary Metal.” Troy glanced enviously at the fine gold mountain, his nose suddenly twitched and he grinned smugly, before darting into a stone hall.
“White Tiger, wait.” Muria chased after Troy and as he entered the daunting halls, a thick breath of life rushed over him. This was the main hall where the Pool of Life was located.
Muria looked at Troy, who had already rushed to the edge of the pool and was about to lick the water with his fresh pink tongue. He stretched out his hand, grabbed the White Tiger’s tail, and dragged him back a good ten meters or so.
“Muria, you are stingy. Can’t you even spare a few sips of your water?” White Tiger Troy looked discontentedly at Muria, licking his lips and staring at the vast green pool in the palace.
“No.” Muria rubbed his face. He was worried that he might burst out laughing, “This is my bathing pool. It’s not dirty. If you don’t mind, you can even drink it – drink all of it if you like.”
The bodies of the Golden-level Titans were always clean and free of impurities, as was Muria’s. Especially after Muria started eating Elemental Crystals, there would be absolutely no impurities. The point was not whether the water was clean or not.
“You’re actually using the Juice of Tree of Life to bathe.” White Tiger Troy growled. It was inconceivable that someone would use such a treasure for bathing. Most of the Titans it knew used the Juice of Tree of Life as a medicinal potion to heal internal injuries.
“Isn’t the Juice of Tree of Life meant for bathing?” Muria looked helplessly at Troy.
“Who told you that stuff is for bathing?” The big cat stared angrily at Muria with its green tiger eyes. “Do you know how precious this sap is? It’s so rare that we Exotic Beasts don’t even have a share, only you Titans do.”
“Is it that precious?” Muria looked a bit bewildered at the sparkling blue-green pool behind Troy. He bathed daily in such a huge pool of water but he had never thought that the Juice of Tree of Life was valuable.
Thus, Muria turned to Cassio for help. She oversaw most of his affairs, including the first time he had a soak in the Pool of Life. She would surely know the answers.
“As Troy said, other Titans simply drink the Juice of Tree of Life. Only you, Lord Ansalor, absorb its essence by bathing in it.”
“Am I the only one who does this?”
“Yes.”
“Hold on, I remember that every Titan’s share of the Juice of Tree of Life is limited. Why does Muria have so much Juice of Tree of Life?”
White Tiger Troy questioned Cassio. After all, it didn’t make sense that Muria had so much of the Juice of Tree of Life that he could bathe in it, even if it was diluted with water.
“Because of Lord Ansalor.” Cassio looked at the White Tiger and said softly, “The Titan Tribe’s distribution of resources is absolutely fair and reasonable. But Muria’s Father supplies the Elf Race’s Tree of Life with a batch of Legendary Demon corpses every month. In exchange, Muria got this Pool of Life.”
“Father.” Hearing Cassio’s words, Muria pressed his lips together, deeply moved. This was the first time he had heard the news. The comforts he had been enjoying without a care were all exchanges for his Father’s bloody battles in the Abyss.
“Heh, so that’s it.” White Tiger Troy was also stunned when he heard the news, then looked at Muria with envious and jealous eyes, “It’s good to have a powerful Father.”
After sighing, Troy suddenly thought of the scene from earlier. If Muria hadn’t pulled his tail in time, he would have been drinking someone else’s bathwater today. Even so, if word got out about this, he would definitely be ridiculed.
Therefore, the big white cat turned around with a serious look on its face and pounced on Muria, who was still delighted. Its huge tiger body, under sudden attack, managed to knock over Muria’s thirty-meter Titan Body.
“Muria, don’t you dare tell anyone about today’s incident,” the big white cat held Muria down and threatened menacingly, “or else I’ll…”
“Or else what?” Muria looked interestedly at Troy. He noticed that the big cat’s claws were all tucked into its pads when it pounced on him. Thus, White Tiger’s pounce did no harm to him.
“…” Troy was speechless. He couldn’t think of any suitable threats. He couldn’t beat Muria in a fight and, in terms of family background, Muria’s heritage outshone his by a mile in the Titan Islands.
“Heh.” Seeing Troy struggling to think of a threatening phrase, Muria suddenly turned over, threw off the big cat standing on top of him, and hugged Troy. With his other hand, he began stroking the fur.
“Big Cat, I won’t tell anyone about what happened just now if you sign a contract with me and become my cat.”
Upon landing in the arms of Muria and hearing the word “contract,” White Tiger Troy froze and stopped putting up a struggle. Its eyes were filled with disbelief as it gazed at Muria.
“What did you just say?” The big cat wanted to confirm again.
“Be my cat.” Muria looked at Troy with a bright smile on his face. The reaction of the latter made him realise that there was a high probability that this matter would be successful.
“I’m not a cat.” Hearing this term, the big cat was immediately annoyed and extended its large tiger paw, slapping at Muria’s face. However, the claws remained retracted in the pads, not extended. “I am a white tiger, the Ruler of the Wind.”
After a paw hit Muria’s face, the white tiger jumped out of Muria’s arms and stepping in a cat-like stride, it arrived at the edge of the Pool of Life, then turned and looked at Muria. “Let me soak for a bit; you don’t mind, do you?”
“Hey.” Muria waved dismissively, “You can soak as much as you want. But after your soak, you will be my cat.”
“…” As if he hadn’t heard, Troy tentatively extended his paw before confidently striding into the Pool of Life. He then sank with clear relief into the pool.
Soaking in the Pool of Life was the ultimate indulgence, a warm current penetrating the body, all of it becoming a bit lighter, as if preparing to fly.
“Haha.” Seeing the big cat immersed in the pool with a face of satisfaction, murmuring low growls of pleasure, Muria entered with excitement, soon shedding his robe and jumping into the pool with a splash.
“Big Cat, you finally agreed.”When Muria got into the pool, he swam next to White Tiger Troy, grabbed him, and began to stroke his soft, snow-white fur that didn’t even clump in the water.
“When did I agree?” The big cat, with its green tiger pupils, glanced sideways at the satisfied Muria and symbolically pushed against Muria’s chest with its chubby paw, not using much force.
“You getting in the pool means you agreed.” Muria felt the faint struggle of Troy in his arms and his smile became even brighter.
“…” The snow-white big cat remained silent, lying quietly within Muria’s arms, allowing him to stroke its fur from head to tail and play with its snow-white wings….
“Hmm.” In the green pool, Muria suddenly opened his eyes. The white tiger had disappeared from his arms. He rubbed his forehead somewhat bashfully, “I fell asleep, I even fell asleep while petting the cat, sigh.”
“Cassio.” Muria called the Spirit’s name, “Where is Troy now?”
“In the great hall where the Egg of Void is placed.” The alluring form of Cassio formed in front of Muria in a breath’s time.
“What?” Muria looked at Cassio with a speechless face, “Why didn’t you stop him?”

“There was no need. Troy will soon become your partner, therefore all the rooms here should be open for him.” Cassio carelessly stated, “Besides, he was bound to find out about that egg. There’s no need to hide it.”
“But…sigh, forget it.” Muria flew out of the pool, picked up his robe and put it on, “You’re right. He will know sooner or later. I’ll go find him now, I just hope he doesn’t change his mind.”
“Troy!” Muria entered the grand hall where the Egg of Void was kept, calling for the white tiger. Then he saw Troy squatting on the ground, curiously eying the black gigantic egg in front of him.
“Muria, what is this?” When he saw that Muria had come in, the white tiger stood up, its face expressionless. Its green tiger eyes were filled with calm.
“This is a gift from my grandfather.” Seeing Troy’s expression, Muria had a slight sense of foreboding.
“Did he give it to you to be your mount or battle pet?”
“… Yes.”Muria hesitated for an instant, then nodded.
“If you already have this egg, why do you need me?” Troy looked at the egg, his tone not revealing any emotion. “The creature that hatches from this egg, will definitely be stronger than me, making it a suitable companion for you.”
“Troy.” As Muria was lost for words, Cassio floated in, “This egg comes from the void. We don’t know what it will hatch into, and we don’t know when it will hatch, but right now Muria needs a partner.”
After hearing Cassio’s words, Troy’s gaze stayed on Muria, his green tiger eyes quietly watching him.
Muria met Troy’s green tiger gaze, flashing his rows of snow-white teeth:
“Troy, make a pact with me, become my life-or-death partner, okay?”
“You already have this egg.”
“Just like Cassio said, we don’t know when this egg will hatch. It might not hatch until I become a legend. Also, who knows what this egg is going to hatch into. If it’s some messy evil creature or something, I’m definitely going to end up smacking it to death.”
“Legend, you’re really confident.” Upon hearing Muria’s words, the snow white big cat showed a hint of a smile.
“Make a pact with me.”
“Hmm.”
