Kingdom Building: Civilization Starts with Divinity-Chapter 130: Prospect’s Manor At last!
After beginning the builds for her people’s rudimentary housing, Alchemy turned her attention to her hut.
"You’ve been a dinky hut for a bit too long, huh?" She hummed, opening the upgrade panel.

<Notice: You meet all the requirements to Upgrade. Would you like to upgrade Prospect’s Tribal Hut to Prospect’s Manor? Y/N>
Choosing to use her unrefined copper as the Tier 1 resource to use, Alchemy pressed yes.
<Notice: Confirmed. Please step back. This will be instant.>
Taking a few steps back, Alchemy lightly clapped as she watched her home change right in front of her eyes.
<Notice: Congratulations! Your Prospect’s Throne has been upgraded! Bonus HP/SP regen has increased from 300% to 500%! The effective area of regeneration has increased!>
<Notice: Upgraded buildings now count for Prospect’s Throne Upgrades!>
<Notice: You have unlocked the color feature! You can now recolor your Prospect’s Throne!>
The small dome of a building expanded, becoming more akin to a small white mansion. Its majority was still made of that nondescript chitinous material, but she was blessed with many new features!
On the outside, she immediately saw that she had an actual door instead of a thick cloth one, and proper glass windows, too!
Although the architecture was far less adventurous than that of her other buildings, she enjoyed the familiarity she gained from seeing a normal-looking house, even if its design was hundreds of years out of date.
As she stepped inside, the entrance was made of high-quality wood and had a doormat to ensure no dirt or debris was tracked into the house. In front of her was a split path, a carpeted hallway leading to the kitchen, common area, bathroom, and dining area.
Curiously, she moved into the kitchen and was surprised by the fairly modern-looking amenities. There was a sink!
She turned the faucet on and to her joy, the water turned on!
"What? Plumbing only came with the 3rd Tier Prospect’s Throne, didn’t it?"
<Quality of Life features have all been moved forward for the Prospect’s comfort.>
Well, Alchemy certainly wouldn’t complain. Her body didn’t seem to create any waste, so the bathroom was useless to her practically, but having a working bath with hot water was a welcome addition to her arsenal.
A stove was nice too, she guessed.
After exploring the bottom floor, she headed up the stairs. There, she found a master bedroom, two separate smaller bedrooms, a second bathroom, a study, and a balcony.
She moved to the balcony and reveled in the new view of her settlement.
"Maybe I should spend a day just decorating this place. Eh, I should probably upgrade it one more time before that."
<Prospect’s Manor -> Prospect’s ???>
|<Notice: Requires 6 Tier 3 Buildings 0/6 | 3000 units of Stone | 3000 units of Wood | 10 of any Refined Steel, Refined Gold, Refined Cobalt, or Refined Verdant>|
"Oh hey, Verdant. I forgot that was a thing to be honest. Hey, Handler, think Verdant would be useful now that this is reality?"
<Probably not.>
"Yeah... Thought so." Alchemy chuckled.
Verdant was one of the many fantastical elements that the Ancients of Ascension added.
It was a copper-based alloy that used magical plants to give it natural regenerative properties, but its innate durability was far too low for the regeneration to be very effective.
Verdant equipment did look cool, however. It was one of the more popular materials when making vanity gear.
Tapping on the question marks presented, Alchemy was blessed with another separate pop-up.
<Notice: At Tier 3, the Prospect’s Throne will undergo a special upgrade that will determine your Civilization’s specialty. Please choose a type of building for your Throne to become!>

Alchemy tilted her head as she looked at all the options, deep in thought.
While she immediately crossed off the Forum since she was between three monster species. Becoming a commerce hub would be too much effort, the rest were worthwhile.
"I’m constantly low on resources, but having more Faith is never a bad thing. The command hall has great synergy with the Verminae’s hivemind as well..." She vocalized her thoughts.
She never settled on which one she liked the most. It was possible to swap between them once she reached Tier 8, so she used whatever was the most meta at the time.
"Haah... I can’t even afford it right now so I’ll just hold off." She shrugged, turning her attention to the requirements needed for her next Civilization Tier.
<Notice: Ascend from Tier 2 Colony -> Tier 3 City-State>
|<Requirements: Tier 3 Prospect’s Throne 0/1 | 10 Tier 3 Buildings 0/10 | 3 Allies/Subjugated Lands 2/3 | Personal level 50 50/50 OR Stage 5 World Tree 0/1 | Population 177/400>|

The requirements were about what she expected. She briefly recalled Alice mentioning that she had already reached the City-State tier and sighed deeply.
"She rushed it with vouchers to get the legendary feat, I guess? Or she lied."
Regardless, Alchemy pushed the thought to the back of her mind. It was only natural for all the Top 3 participants to have their means.
Especially since this was their reality now, conventional methods would surely fall behind if they wanted to keep their spots.
"That’s... It’s for the management stuff, right?" Alchemy asked herself.
She glanced at her storage to ensure she hadn’t forgotten any vouchers, and after confirming, she nodded to herself in satisfaction.
"So next is..."
Alchemy began quickly swiping through her panels until she saw her other reward for maintaining her rank one spot on the Leaderboard.
The ability to convert EXP into Divine Power!
