Chapter 21: Ascension Storm of Heaven & Earth, Vesh’s Plan

Eventually, Vesh learned to control the whirlpool, further increasing his knowledge in the matters of Mana and elements.

[Congratulations. Your Talent—Arcane Cultivation—has reached SSS-rank and transformed into Ascension Storm of Heaven and Earth.]

Vesh blinked and grinned. "Damn me. That’s a badass name."

He opened his palm, and the wondrous, colorful whirlpool appeared in miniature form.

Now its range was 100 meters.

Vesh grinned.

[Ascension Storm of Heaven and Earth | SSS | Potential: 25✧/100✧]

He surprisingly gained a fast understanding of this and directly reached 25-star potential, which was equivalent to having a full-fledged S-rank.

What did it entail? His whirlpool could absorb resources and energies of up to S-rank!

Vesh didn’t know how powerful that was, but if Seed-rank was equivalent to D-rank, then S-rank energies had to be like literal nuclear energies.

This area didn’t have C-rank levels of magic energy that could be purified for him to increase his Sprout Force, which was the reason his Sprout Force didn’t increase after he broke through.

He had two options to increase his Sprout Force.

One was to enter an area with C-rank magic energy, or throw C-rank resources into the whirlpool.

’Now that I know this, I shouldn’t have blasted that old man to atoms. Not to mention the energy of his death was also blasted away during the blast. Can’t absorb it now.’

Vesh flew up and headed back to his territory. ’I think I am sufficiently powerful to explore and visit other kingdoms now.’

A grin stayed on his face for far too long.

Suddenly, his eyes glowed. ’Shit.’

He just got an insanely fun idea about how his territory should be.

...

After heading back, Vesh gathered everyone and relayed the good news.

"First, all danger is averted. As far as I know, no one else is coming here anymore," Vesh said, his expression turning somber. "At least, not right away, because the way I killed the old man she had called, he couldn’t have relayed anything to anyone."

Pausing a bit, he continued. "But if his death did alert something, then it’s all the more reason to execute a plan."

"A plan?" Kayan tilted his head. "Let me guess. You want us to relocate, but given the wild things you are doing, the next thing you’ll do is create something to take us to the sky and live there somehow."

Arga laughed. "That would be fun."

"Kingdom on a floating island, eh?" Rovina smiled. "Knowing our lord, he’ll surely do it someday."

Vesh chuckled. "What are you saying? It’s not someday. It’s today. By night, I want us to be in the sky."

"Huh?" Kayan had a rare look of dumbfounded shock.

"..." Arga and Rovina.

The villagers looked at each other.

Confusion.

Did they hear right?

"Hey, snap out of it." Vesh snapped his fingers and grinned. "We have a lot of work to do. Here’s the step-by-step process. First, I am going to cut a chunk of a mountain and refine it into our foundation. An ultra-fine-class floor for our territory. Then I’ll cut a chunk of the ground twice as large as our territory. After that, I’ll create an array that can make the chunk float, turning it into a floating island."

"Perfect, right?"

"Umm, Lord..." Arga raised his hand. "So what will the rest of us be doing?"

Vesh grinned. "Make yourselves stronger."

Waving his hand, he created a large Ascension Storm of Heaven and Earth.

Range: 2 kilometers.

Afterward, he absorbed some energy from it instead of using his Mana since it was almost empty, and created a big mana barrier specifically to prevent the refined pure magic energy from dispersing without interfering with the atmosphere. The winds would still pass through the barrier. It would only contain the refined pure magic energy that the whirlpool would spew out.

This was his level of Mana control right now.

"What is this?"

"It looks magnificent."

"A bit scary too."

"What’s there to be scared of if it’s from our Lord?"

"The air is different. I feel energetic and strong just by breathing!"

Vesh smiled. "That’s right. You all can also start increasing your Seed Force now. It will help fight your illness and make you stronger. Even if you don’t have strong talents or elemental talents, you can still absorb this energy to increase your physical parameters."

Arga, Rovina, and Kayan were shocked.

"This is insane, my lord!" Arga shouted, thrilled enough to tremble all over. "I can say one thing, my lord! You are not ordinary. You’re on the path to something extraordinary!"

"Right." Rovina wryly smiled.

"Insane," Kayan muttered and looked at Vesh. "Even I know somehow that this shit is not something any average genius can do. What are you?"

Vesh smiled. "I’m just a normal guy who wants to finally enjoy his life."

"That said, you didn’t say much about your past. You also said you didn’t lose your memories, but we didn’t want to probe." Arga blinked, eyes boring into Vesh. "Well, I won’t hesitate now. What was your deal before you came here?"

Vesh laughed. "Nothing much, to be honest. I’ve been alone since birth, so parents are out of pictures, though i think they are here too. But putting them aside, I lived the most unimaginably boring life, and that too on hell mode because I had a problem with my body that prevented me from even walking for five minutes before I had to stop and catch my breath."

Kayan side-eyed. He imagined himself living that weak, and couldn’t accept it. That too for twenty eight years with each year getting worse, alone, and in utter discipline just to not end up die while sleeping.

"That’s terrible." Rovina frowned.

"And you lived for twenty-eight years like that?" Viana sighed.

Vesh grinned. "I did, and I did so proudly. People said I wouldn’t live past twenty, but I figured out a way and discipline to keep living because there was still so much to enjoy in life, even if I could enjoy less than 1% of it."

"Though..." Vesh paused, and his smile turned awry. "I’ll be honest. At twenty-eight, things were getting worse. It was hard to live. One more year, and I would have to lay in bed, and by the next, i would be gone, which I was prepared for as well because I had earned enough money."

"So one night, I saw a small and cute kitten at an intersection." Vesh smiled as Kaeli appeared next to his shoulder, rubbing her head against his cheek.

"Meow!"

"Nobody was looking at her, and she had no way to save herself, so I ran." Vesh grinned. "I ran like never before to save it. I decided I would end my life that way. But before the truck could hit me, the world stopped, and I arrived here."

"Oh my." Rovina smiled. "My lord, I have newfound admiration for you now."

"Hahaha! No wonder our lord is full of wondersl! He had already lived through a trial so harsh for years and forged that rich mind with his genius and discipline." Arga laughed.

"Alright, enough about me. It’s time to get to work and rise by the night. We’ll see the best sunrises of our life starting tomorrow."
