King's Rule: Creating the Strongest Kingdom With My Broken Talent-Chapter 31: Introducing The Ananta Kingdom
Many people gathered before Vesh, with a multitude of feelings coursing through their minds.
"One chance." Vesh began speaking after a prolonged silence. "I don’t know how many of you knew about the royal family’s deeds, and who was innocent among them, so I will leave that to you to sort out and sort yourselves out. Then I will test you all. That’s all you will get to stay alive and prove that you are worthy of being part of the Ananta kingdom."
"Now, moving to the main point of this announcement, which is to introduce the Ananta Kingdom to its new citizens. The infrastructure and government of the Ananta kingdom will be different from what you have seen so far."
Vesh waved his hand as the large holograms on four sides shifted from showing him to displaying an aesthetic white tower with a blue gemstone-designed exterior and light golden patterns. A tower made of some unknown material, with one giant symbol on top.
An exotically complex symbol.
It was a circle encompassing a hexagon with curved borders from one point to another, and this hexagon encompassed another hexagon within it, with its points connecting between two points of the larger hexagon. Inside this hexagon were sixteen small circles arranged in a wave-like circular formation along the edges, eight circles being golden with black micro-linings connecting them, and the others being black with golden micro-linings connecting them.
And in the middle were six large hazy circles made of many curved lines, overlapping each other. Right in the middle of these overlapping circles was a decagon, and inside it lay a triangle.
That was the symbol of the Ananta Kingdom, representing the infinite and eternal.
"This is the Ananta Governing Tower. It will be led by ten people who will oversee the territory under their management as governors and make decisions together for the development of the territory."
"In this case, this tower will govern the Crosshawk Kingdom’s territories."
’Kaeli, can you go up and play around a bit? I am going to build some stuff here.’
’Meow!~’
Skylord Behemoth K got up, scaring the hundred-something people who stood before Vesh on the ground.
But to their relief, the giant cat silently flew up and shortly vanished from their sight.
Due to Kaeli’s SSS-rank talent, Arcane Physique, she could, for lack of better words, possess the Skylord Behemoth K, a machine, like it was a toy. It just happened automatically, and when Vesh checked Kaeli’s status, her Arcane Physique’s potential star had increased from 1✧ to 25✧.
After the giant cat left, the empty space behind swirled with magic as bright and colorful elemental energy whirled downward from above.
It gathered, and their colors changed and aligned before turning into silvery-white S-rank Nanite material as the particles glowed in the sun with golden and blue hues and began organizing under Vesh’s command.
Soon, the 200-meter-tall Ananta Governing Tower that everyone saw in the hologram appeared right in front of them.
"The ten governors of this tower will manage the territory under them by employing the full force of this tower. Inside, you will find all facilities ready with instructions. You will hire capable people fairly and finish the projects listed in Tower One by one, all while following the protocols."
"All the materials will be provided, and everyone working inside the tower will get a salary of 1 D-rank Magic Crystal and 10 gold coins per week! If you are A sprout-rank powerhouse, you will get a C-rank Magic Crystal instead! If you are a Root-rank Powerhouse, you will get a B-rank Magic Crystal!"
Vesh paused, his voice becoming even after the previous elevation. "If you are Stem-rank, you will get an A-rank Magic Crystal."
"Everyone working outside the tower will also get a salary according to the work they do."
Uproar!
The people who heard those words were dazed, dizzied, and dumbfounded.
Surely, he was lying, right?
Many thought of that.
But....everything they saw so far pulled them back and told them that there was not a hint of falsehood in those words that oozed pride naked with each letter he spoke.
This person sitting on a throne adorned in some ancient godly black armor that instilled weakness in them just by watching him was absolutely not lying.
"What did he say, Jamie?" Guild Master Risha narrowed her eyes. "Not just C and B, but A-rank Magic crystals? And he makes it sound like he can get more."
"T-That’s what he said."
After a short pause, Vesh’s voice once again began echoing throughout the city. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
"The list of laws is not long in my kingdom, and it is not complicated at all." Vesh’s eyes glinted while the suit’s white eyes brightened briefly, his body language turning stern and oppressive as his hands gripped the throne’s armrests rightly.
"There will be an Ananta Court for disputes, and the judge will be the King of Ananta, who resides in the realm beyond."
"No crime, no hate, no murder, no rape, no sacrifice! No intentional or accidental evil will be tolerated here."
Vesh loosened his hands and leaned back. "Because if such a thing happens, the consequences will be swift and...a thousand times worse than the wrong they committed."
Pausing briefly, Vesh’s voice rose with each word as he continued. "Because life... Must prosper FOREVER AND EVER LIKE A HEAVEN BUILT BY PEOPLE UNDER THE BANNER OF ANANTA!"
A vibration spread that invoked utter overwhelmingness upon them.
But at the same time, the words also invoked hope and anticipation of a new future.
The Crosshawk Kingdom was declining, and everyone’s lives, except for the rich and nobles, were becoming miserable quickly.
People were dying for no good reason. There was not enough food and raw ingredients to feed everyone, while the rich still hoarded and ate their fill without care.
Many people who lost everything due to wars and displacements by the king during wartime, to work in logistics and production, got no support and were abandoned. Most of them died, some survived and found other settlements.
Many were hesitating due to the unknown world and future, still trapped here. And many had given up and were just drifting through without caring for life and death.
But today, something was happening.
Something crazy.
Something hopeful.
"You all, enter the tower and read the laws properly that the King of Ananta has laid out. Then start working. There will be an artificial intelligence that can answer questions related to anything inside the tower, so clear your doubts when you get them."
"Anyone in the city who wants to find work and change their life, line up behind the tower! I’m going to set up a Public Affairs Palace there, which will handle common public matters like food distribution, company management, and jobs."
’I shouldn’t expose Ascension Storm of Heaven and Earth for now, so with the additional people I got up on the island, I’ll set up the Energy Factory.’ Vesh nodded to himself, as that was a good idea.
’The Energy Factory would be a large facility that packages Refined Magic Energy of various ranks into cubic stones of my design, which would be supplied to territories under the Ananta Kingdom.’
’The Energy Factories would remain out of everyone’s radar by being placed high up in the sky.’
’I can’t be present at all my territories, so even if I am not there, the territories should still be protected, so I’d better build an advanced version of the Dread Eye Towers with at least three weapon systems and two defense systems.’
’Hmm, wait... what if I run my kingdom like this...’ Vesh’s eyes shone as he got a fun and, according to him, flawless idea on how to best manage large territories under one banner.
’Yep. This is it. That’s the best way to run the world.’ Vesh grinned. ’Since I will keep the same people who lived here and appoint them in the Ananta Governing Tower, I will give them a separate identity, and for resources and development, different Ananta Governing Towers can engage in healthy competition with each other.’
’There will be a large battlefield where we will hold war games, and I will oversee my vast forces and people.’ Vesh grinned as his eyes surged with anticipation for his ambition.
’Since this is a sideland, I will fully conquer this and establish the vision of my kingdom here to see how it works before moving to the mainland. Yep. That’s perfect.’
There was a lot to do, so Vesh wanted to start working.
But before that, it was time to visit the Adventurer’s Guild branch and its leader, who had been observing him for a while now.
He also wanted to see and assess what kind of organization the Adventurer’s Guild was and cooperate with them if possible.
