Vesh gulped.

The mysterious voice didn’t answer him.

So he had to make such a King’s Rule to see if it was possible to learn magical talents.

’Should I do it now? I have to think more before using this.’ Vesh sat down.

He was also tired after this training session, so he wanted to rest before returning.

’I’ll try catching the fish with the sword. It’ll help me create more experience to use the sword my way. And spar with Arga, yep. But we need one more sword for him.’

Vesh cleared his head and took a deep breath.

’Now, for the King’s Rule, to get myself Fire Mastery or Earth Mastery would be better to build things, actually. Arga already has fire mastery anyway.’

’Sword moves can be learned with physical training, but magic is different, right? What if I need some kind of catalyst to learn Earth Mastery talent? I have to make sure I don’t do anything that kills me.’

But he also wanted to try it.

’Alright, screw it. I want to see what happens, so I’ll add in the rule that if the process threatens my life, stop it.’

Vesh nodded to himself and made a King’s Rule.

’King’s Rule. I shall learn D-rank Earth Mastery talent, but if my life is threatened during the process, this rule is nullified.’

In the next second, his body moved.

He sat down on the ground, and his eyes closed.

He focused on nothingness.

And it eventually led him to the thing he had to focus on.

As he was focused on the nothingness in his mind, keeping it pitch black and thoughts zero, something flashed.

He could see a seed. A small seed with sparks whirling around it.

’Is this place my life nexus? That must be the Seed the voice talked about.’

Vesh blinked. ’The peak of Seed Lifeform is 10,000 Seed Force, so I have a long way to go.’

He checked his status and saw that it had been updated. It didn’t show his Seed Force before, but now it showed.

Vesh resumed his focus after this discovery.

Five minutes later, he felt something connecting to him.

He traced this thing, which was a flowing energy, and it was coming from the ground around him.

Vesh didn’t dare to lose his focus as he finally found the target of his focus.

These strings of glowing light brown energy flowing from the ground seemed to be Earth elemental energy.

Vesh cast away all other thoughts and focused.

He just observed the energy strings and lost himself in them.

He didn’t know when, but suddenly, he found himself atop a cliff.

The surroundings had changed.

Vesh blinked, confused.

’What the hell?’

Vesh looked around, and all he saw was...Earth.

Barren ground, mountains, and terrains.

Crack.

Vesh heard a sound from behind and turned around.

The ground ten meters away was cracking and protruding magically, shards and dust whirling.

In a few seconds, a strange bull-like beast with large horns, a stubby body with small legs, and scorpio-like tail took shape, made of Earth.

It stood at merely 60 centimetre of height, but it was almost 2 meters long.

’What’s going on?’ Vesh frowned.

Creeeee!

The creature made a harsh screeching sound and suddenly lunged towards Vesh. But that was not all. It also shot a sharp earth shard from its tail.

Vesh couldn’t react at all as he saw the shard about to pierce his head.

But before it hit him, everything changed. He found his eyes open back at the riverbank.

[King’s Rule Canceled due to a threat to life.]

’Eh?’ Vesh frowned. ’What the hell actually happened? Was I going to die if I got hit there?’

’But wasn’t it an illusion?’

’Well, it’s time I use the Karma Summon Ticket. Missed the opportunity to use it yesterday thanks to sword training bedding me for almost a day.’

Vesh took out the fancy ticket.

And without further ado, tore it to activate it.

Vesh’s eyes widened.

A small, cute pitch black furry kitten was floating before his face, its curious glowing golden eyes looking at him with a lively spark in them.

"Meow!"

It cutely meowed while stretching its paw and promptly flew towards Vesh as if it could fly!

"T-This..." Vesh felt its furry stomach on his face as the kitten hugged him.

"Meow!"

Vesh was shocked.

Because this cat looked exactly like the kitten he had saved at the intersection.

’Karma Summon Ticket...I suppose it summons based on karma ties.’

Vesh smiled and grabbed the kitten, looking at it really closely before he couldn’t help but rub his face gently on its body.

"Meoww, meow!"

"Hehe, you like it, eh? Here you go."

"Meoww!"

Vesh began playing with the cat.

"Let’s give you a cute name. Hmmm...how about Jet?"

"Meoww!" The cat shook its head.

Vesh laughed. "Alright, then how about Kaeli?"

"Meow!" The cat appeared cheery and nodded.

It was very intelligent since it could understand Vesh!

After several minutes, Kaeli appeared tired of playing.

Kaeli meowed weakly before glowing and dashing into his body, disappearing.

"Arcane Feline..." Vesh muttered. He pulled up the cat’s status.
